Ovulation predictions kits stepmama :-) takes a while to pick everything up!!! Xx

Mam31 · 16/05/2014 12:11

Welcome stepmama and hi everyone else. Stepmama your brave going to hycosy on your own, I think my DH will be a bit traumatised if/when I've to go, but he will be forced to hold my hand through it lol

Onelife, your post is so very true about Stephen...should make everyone think really that even in the most difficult times we are all very blessed to be healthy, have our lives, family, friends, partners/husbands and the rest!!!!!!!

I do feel living life while we wait for our little bean is one of the most important things I've learnt throughout this journey and appreciating everything I already have.

I know that can be so difficult at times and when I started the dreaded pre af spotting yesterday I can assure you I was not in a good place....but after I had a cry and thought of everything I have to be grateful for, I snapped out of it and realised again that this is out of my hands....all I can do is be happy, live life and keep shagging!!!!!

Life is a gift ladies, so grab it with both hands!!!!!! :)

Lindsay81 · 16/05/2014 13:59

Happy Friday ladies! Sorry I have been MIA... Travelling again this week, although it was a fairly pleasant trip this time :-)

Hello stepmum! Nice to "meet" you and hope you find the thread useful. Your DSS mum sounds like a right cow but LOL at your nobleman comment... that really made me laugh!

Also glad to hear your hyscosy was so easy onelife! Apart from the waiting obviously. Good results!!! :)))

Blue- I know this is hard to hear but this is honestly a good thing in my eyes. They think they have figured out what's going on and not only that, they have proposed a potential solution. It's a way forward, if nothing else. xoxoxo

I dropped DH's SA sample off at the hospital today. The GP didn't tell us they would want 2 x results at least 2 weeks apart, although I kind of knew that from you guys. Will have to tell him when he gets home tonight- oh joy! He was all worried this morning that the "volume" wasn't good and said sometimes in the morning he doesn't "get a lot out". Oh LMAO! Sometimes if you didn't laugh at this stuff, you'd cry!

After dropping it off, as a joke, I sent him a text that said "All done. Although they asked if yours has always been clear/ white, because usually it's green in colour?" He sent me back "Yes always. Should be green?"
I did LOL but it made me realise how worked up he is about all this, that his first instinct was to assume something was wrong, rather than see the joke, :-( Wee soul.

Anyway, that's our SA story so far. LOL. cd5 here, AF p!ssing off and looking forward to a weekend of making my husband feel like the man he is :-)

lil1ady · 16/05/2014 15:07

Lindsay you mean its not meant to be green? oh dear! just kidding obvs! love that little joke you played on him but bless him for not realising you were winding him up! how long do you have to wait for the results?

mam your PMA is inspirational! Smile

Lindsay81 · 16/05/2014 15:16

Hi Lil One week- she says they will be with the GP next Friday. Not bad, reaLly. Although also said that some GPs don't like to discuss the results until both samples have been analysed.... I am still assuming you could get the results though and consult Dr. Google. lol

lil1ady · 16/05/2014 15:28

Dr Google knows everything! one week is good. we had to wait 2wks.

xBlueberry88x · 16/05/2014 16:30

Afternoon Ladies,

The weather is stunning on the Isle of Wight today I do love living here.

Feeling a little bit better today but still worried what gynae might say. We havent got a reason yet although doc did ask if I had been checked for pcos which I havent. Just need to wait weeks for the appointment now blahhh

Thanks for all the lovely comments im an emotional person so I cry at everything lol.

Stepmama you get the hang of the meanings dont worry it took me a while!!

Mam love the positivity!!

Lindsay Lol its so fun taking the mick outta the dps but bless him for being worried. My DP doesnt really show any signs of worrying but he does comfort me when I need it. And when I say AF is on its way he always says "it might not be" trying to be sweet.

Still no sign of AF 2 days late now, no craps and no signs of anything.

Yesterday felt nauseous but I think that was worry more than anything.

stepmama84 · 16/05/2014 17:17

My doc didn't say anything about dh giving a sa two weeks apart?!
We only have the one test…
GP so bloody useless, just try and placate you and get you out the office. Glad I've gone private 12 june and we have a consultation with all the results so far. I'll prep dh incase they want another sa on the day.
AF trailing off cd5, not happy about not ttc before the hycosy, the nurse said after the procedure was fine though? one you were told the whole month though, so not feeling (confused)

lil1ady · 16/05/2014 18:36

I was told whole month too stepmama. we also got told dh needed to do 2 sa's but he did them a month apart.

blue stay strong Thanks

MB1985 · 16/05/2014 21:22

step whole month would make sense if the dye isn't safe. Have you gone private for all tests? I have warned dh that depending on how things go I may want to go private too - I have zero patience!!!

blue have you poas yet? If not how!!!!!

MB1985 · 17/05/2014 13:55

Ladies I need advice!!! Dh sa is thursday, he has been told by hospital to abstain for 5 days but we got a bit mixed up with our dates - can we dtd tonight or not????? Tia x

victoria401 · 17/05/2014 14:15

We were told not less than 2 and no more than 5 so I just got him off 3 days before the test! I was on af so couldn't dtd! I think doing it tonight should be fine for a test on Thursday.

Back from Dorset now, stayed at charmouth in a caravan. Was better weather than we were expecting so we had to cope with all our winter clothes! Have a vest top on now! But it is tons warmer back home rather than on the coast! Baking in my sheltered garden. Have all the washing out :-)

MB1985 · 17/05/2014 14:25

Thanks Vic, glad you had a nice time it's BOILING here today 23c been out with the dogs this am and glad to be done by midday!! Stuck at work this afternoon but will jump him later ;-) im on cd16 the day of his sa so don't really want to miss out on 5 whole days but if it's anything like last cycle ov won't be til the next week anyway!!!

xBlueberry88x · 17/05/2014 14:56

Bfn 3 days late what the hell I don't knlw why I got my hopes up if I know im not ovulating Sad

Had day off once so sorted both front and back garden knackered now so sun bathing in my garden in a bikini top and shorts glad no one can see me lol not exactly skinny.

vicky good to see you had a good time!

mb we were only told not to do it couple of days before.

Dp only had 1 SA doc said if theres nothing to worry about they only need the one.

MB1985 · 17/05/2014 15:39

Thanks blue he panicks about these things so will just stick to tonight. Gutted for you though, fx you get an appt soon xx

lil1ady · 17/05/2014 15:51

sorry blue. try and enjoy the sunshine instead though. things to be thankful for and all that.

mb I also go told we had to abstain for at least 2 but no more than 7 so we dtd tge night before 48hrs before sa appointment to make sure the best swimmers were there. I also wanted it to be as close to realistic as poss, i.e. we DTD EOD leading up to ov so I didn't want dh to abstain longer than we would then so we knew how good what he was putting up there was iyswim! not that I over think these things at all, no not me! Grin

MB1985 · 17/05/2014 15:53

Lol lil I'm normally the same was his ok?

victoria401 · 17/05/2014 16:08

Still don't know the results of dh's sa. We could have rang any day in the week but kind of didnt want to spoil the hol. We are both down in the dumps about it without even knowing as we are very glass half empty people anyway. We just think its BOUND to be bad coz we never get any luck.

Poor blue :-( it must be hard for you right now not knowing when af is going to come coz of your mid cycle bleed. Did you get any timescale on the waiting list for gynae?

lil1ady · 17/05/2014 16:25

Vic chin up. whatever the outcome its a step forward. knowledge is power.

mb dh had v low morph and v low motility but good count. motility incread to 20% on second one but they were all still basically retard sperm. we now joke dh has lazy monster spunk! so far I'm checking out OK so looks like his sa is the reason we aren't conceiving. fx my hsg is OK and then I guess we'll be looking at iui rather than ivf first of all. its going to be September before we see a consultant at this rate though, so I'm just shagging for shaggings sake now. if we get a baby out of it that will just be a bonus!

MB1985 · 17/05/2014 17:29

Thing is lil it only takes 1, much more likely for something to happen if the problem is him not you so just keep shagging! Waiting lists are long and crappy, time does go quick though

Vic same to you, better the problem is him not you much, easier to fix. I'm the same though - convinced it's both of us!!!!

xBlueberry88x · 17/05/2014 17:38

vicky I feel the same never get any luck I only want a baby is it to much to ask for.
Doctor said between 4 and 8 weeks to get an appointment sooo damn long

lil it does only need the one spermy to get through!!

Got a bit burnt lol...starting to think about concentrating on loosing weight but I always loose heart when nothing happens

lil1ady · 17/05/2014 18:03

thanks guys. I know ur right. I am still using opks, but trying to just go with the mood rather than the science! hopefully "relaxing" will pay off barf

I too have got a bit pink in the sun blue oops! as for loosing weight I've found the best way to be just eating smaller portions. its amazing how easily we load up our plates. if you've got bug dinner plates or dark coloured ones go and buy some smaller white ones. they did an experiment about portion size differences on small vs large and light vs dark plates on a TV prog a while back, the results were clear cut! I also try to cut out bread. post holiday diet starts Monday here, but tonight I'm ordering dominos!Grin

xBlueberry88x · 17/05/2014 18:34

Thanks lil my diets pretty good as im coeliac so no breads or pastries or anything nice

Its just the exercise I have bad back, knees, shoulders, everything so exercise is hard plus im getting lazy lol

lil1ady · 17/05/2014 18:46

I'm allergic to exercise. unless its sexercise, then I'm on board. otherwise I'd rather give up food!
