Sorry such a long post, it went a bit funny! Was saying hope it does not make anyone afraid, I just wanted to share my experience and I'm very happy with the outcome despite all my worry and fear at the time.

Hopefully the flush out will help the little swimmers get more easily to their destination!!!!!

Lots of luck to you all with your appointments and journey. I will check in again soon but need to distract myself as I don't want to obsess this month given that we may have a better chance I feel it's important I stay relaxed and positive.

Chat soon ladies!!! And hope our next bfp is on the way very soon!!!!!!

mam that sounds exactly the same as my hsg definately worth taking a pad i bled a fair bit on the day.

My mum was only allowed in while they got me ready then had to go behind a screen

So my af could appear anywhen from today lets see what happens

Mam31 · 04/09/2014 15:46

Good luck Blue!! Yes I'm not sure I was prepared for the initial amount of bleeding but it tailed off and I'm fine.

Nonconformist34 · 04/09/2014 20:25

Thanks mam for a brilliant, detailed post. It's been really helpful for when I go at the end of the month for my HSG. I'm not nervous (yet!) but like you, the reality of what might be wrong with me might hit. You must be so relieved that it's all as it should be.

Fingers crossed that you're all flushed out and fresh ready for some sperm meets egg action!

victoria401 · 05/09/2014 10:30

Hiya. Recovered enough from my shock now!

Thanks for the description mama. Read it to dh. He's now coming with me to mine. Didnt realise how bad it was going to be as nurse said it was 'just an x-ray'. He was gonna let me go alone and get the bus home!

Talking of the hsg. I've ovd really early this month so its messed with my dates. I was due to start af on my hols so I could have got it the week after our return. If I predict right it will now start before my hols! Normally a great thing, but the hsg is done before day 12 and it will be day 12 the Sunday we return. Arse. We had a follow up booked at the clinic for 2 weeks after and we'd have to cancel that too! Bloody mother nature.

cooper is your dh takin vits? We increased my dh's morph from 2% to 5% on wellman!

Good you've got af Laura, hope things are improving for you.

Hope the rest of you are ok. Mind is addled and I've forgotten what you are waiting for apart from bfps!

Yes non, very relieved it's over and it really was such a short procedure and over in no time. But think it's best that you know what to expect.

Vic also I'm glad DH is going with you, getting the bus home is not an option as you need to take it easy afterwards. Partly due to the emotional aspect of it as well, it's quite overwhelming that it has come to this so I think that can hit when the hsg comes up.

Chisty, it would be great if you could post on here how you got pregnant. no one is concerned with tmi or info overload, there is no squemishness over details and nothing is too out of the ordinary to discuss. We are very open here and intrigued to hear.

cooperG · 05/09/2014 17:38

Good to see you vic :) hope you're doing ok

He's taking zinc and eating Brazils and almonds everyday for the selenium and vit e, he doesn't like taking "artificial vitamins" :/ I'm gonna look up what's in wellman though and see if I can convince him!

maybug3 · 06/09/2014 13:33

Hi all.
Thanks for the hsg descriptions. Assuming that will be a next step for me. Have our general fertility appointment in just over a week but also dh has now got an appointment for urology at the end of October (due to his low non-existent count)
So fed up with it all.
Hopefully going to go to the private clinic open evening on 1st october just to see what it's all about - is so hard to piece it all together. Mad that in our positions we are so reliant on mn to tell us what we need to know.

Dh finally has got a job local to home which is great news. Only a few more weeks of living apart but expect I'll still have to go to my hsg alone depending on how quickly they want to do it.
Anyway, self pity done with I hope everyone is having a good weekend and is feeling more positive.

Mam- fx the flush does the job for you.
Vic- hope you don't have to wait to long. Thanks to evil af
Chisty- missed your post but do come back to us.
Cooper- my dh is taking wellman. Has lots in it but not had a treat since to know if working.
Sorry to those ive missed this time.

Xx

maybug3 · 06/09/2014 22:45

Test not treat!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 06/09/2014 23:40

Hi ladies, I haven't been around for a while, but just wanted to check in before the end of the thread to say I am still here, still reading and keeping my fingers crossed for you all!
My in-laws have just left after a month long visit, I must be mad to have enjoyed having them stay with us for a month, but they are good company and kept the wine supplies stocked up everyday! Not been able to DTD really with them sleeping in the room next to us, so took it as an opportunity to take a break for a bit and try and put it all to the back of my mind, and I do feel a bit refreshed for it. Time to get back into the swing of it all now though, still not making any progress with appointments for scans etc, so I think I need to start ringing round and making myself heard a bit more. It has been 16 months of trying now with increasingly irregular cycles Confused
Nice to see you back mam and I really hope the flush does the job for you.
may you are so right, it is such a mindfield of information, I feel totally baffled by it all, I don't know whether to keep pestering my Dr, ring the hospital to see what is going on with my referral or look into fertility clinics! Will be good for you to get some answers hopefully at the open evening.
vic I cannot believe what a bloody rollercoaster you have been through. The silver lining is the results aren't as bad as you were led to believe, but still, what an emotional upheaval for you! As someone said earlier though, good on you and DH for getting through it with solidarity, and hopefully you will get the good news you deserve soon and you can look back and laugh at the bloody ridiculousness of it all!!
Sorry can't reply to everyone, seems as though most of us are just in limbo land, waiting on tests and more tests. It's all just shit isn't it! Maybe we could have a recap of where everyone is up to when we start the next thread?

victoria401 · 07/09/2014 00:27

Great idea ginger we need to start a new thread with updates. I have an awful memory of who is where, what and why! Nice to see u back x

Lauraqc · 07/09/2014 00:41

Hey all! I agree let's get a new thread going with a recap! Hope you're all ok! Having a mega long af here hoping to crack on with a bit of dtd ASAP!

victoria401 · 07/09/2014 09:26

I started one! Come and fine me! Same title but added this will be the BFP one! See u there!
