No idea imaginary I got 5 flashing smileys last week CD16-20 then proper smiley CD21 but then AF showed up today CD25 which is early for me (usually 26-28 days) so will have to talk to DH at some point about going to GP. Have written a letter to get a different GP though as don't like the new one we've been given. Would ideally like a female but apparently its a min 1 year wait!! Tbh if I wasn't doing OPKs I would have though it was a normal cycle (although did think the delayed ov may have been due stress). Not much we can do just now so will start ov testing again next week around CD 8-9 (although it was so late will probably need more sticks already lol!) and book appointment with GP when its sorted

Vic I was only messing, I know its great here :-) where abouts are you heading? and oh buggar hadn't checked the forecast :-(

onelifeonechance · 07/05/2014 22:13

Hey all, found you!!

Cycle 13 now for me, af rocked up to the party uninvited at 22 days, how rude. After our holiday away too, we really went for it and this is how my body repays me! Got my hycosy next week though so hoping that goes ok.

Good luck to all waiting for results, fx.

And Notta! Sounds v exciting, v much hoping for you, good luck!!

ImaginaryHat · 07/05/2014 22:30

Cheers Vic Smile

1 yr wait for female gp mb that's crazy! Having said that I'm not seeing my own gp, but a different one at the surgery. I had an emergency appt when I had my 1st chemical and you just get allocated to any on the day, so I've just made my subsequent appointments with her. Any chance you can be registered with one doc but just make your appointments with another, or are they stricter than that where you are?

Welcome back one! I know how you feel, we totally went for it this month too, right up until a couple of days ago, and I already know I'm out this cycle now with the stupid spotting, boo. Good luck for the hycosy.

notta I'll be on here bright and early to see how you get on x

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/05/2014 22:46

Thanks all and hello and welcome hibou

Well, I'm out. AF is started. Had a cry. Its shit. I had got all excited.

Thanks everyone for your support. :-(

Ugh. Another cry.

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/05/2014 22:51

Good luck with your DH results vic I know what you mean about new bezzies. :-) Only one friend in RL knows i am ttc.

ImaginaryHat · 07/05/2014 22:51

Oh notta I'm really sorry, I honestly thought it was your time. Our bodies can be so cruel sometimes. Have a good cry, no shame in that. Make sure dh takes good care of you x

MB1985 · 07/05/2014 22:54

Its a good system unless you want to see someone other than your own Doc Imaginary. Unless you say it's urgent and need to be seen that day you have to see your own GP, even if its a 3 week wait! I could see a female but would have to phone in the morning for a same day emergency appt which is stupid if you are anticipating to have to see them a few times. If it were just once then I prob would just do that but I'm guessing we'll be sick of the place!

Hey One whats a hycosy? Good luck with it whatever it is! I'm pretty pee'd off at AF today, was expecting a 2ww after ov but no stupid cow showed up after just a couple of days lol!

MB1985 · 07/05/2014 22:55

Oh Notta :-( sending hugs imaginary hugs (or glasses of wine) your way, I was convinced we were all waking up to a BFP from you xx

m33r · 08/05/2014 06:45

Ive finally got my appointment with my doctor next thursday ive had to wait a month for this. It will be all my day 21 results its also the day af is due bad times.

Cd 22 today no idea if I ovulated feel nauseous though

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/05/2014 07:15

Thanks everyone. I thought it was my time too. I feel shocking this morning, still in bed with barely open eyes!

Onto cycle 13.

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/05/2014 07:30

Bloody extra long cycles has pushed me over into june aswell. Should have been due again 30th may. Not that it makes much difference.

Jessewalt · 08/05/2014 07:41

Hello notta, allow yourself to feel rubbish. A few cycles ago, I got no spotting and I was convinced it was our month, I felt dreadful when period started, but oddly glad that I had had those 2 days of thinking "maybe, just maybe".
You will get there and it will be amazing when it does happen xxxxx

Lindsay81 · 08/05/2014 07:43

Oh notta xoxoxo This has happened to me 2 or 3 times over the last year or so and it is so cruel! I know nothing we can say will make much of a difference but I think it is absolutely fine to wallow in it for a couple of days! Then hopefully you can get back on this stupid, unfair TTC ride, feeling more positive.

Have the best day you can xx

victoria401 · 08/05/2014 07:53

It happened to me last cycle, as you may remember!? I thought I ovd early but it must have been a week later giving me longer cycle. I had so many symptoms like nausea, cramps, no spotting... I think my body must have geared up to ov then didn't and had another go later on. Something I'm not letting pass me by this month! We stopped dtd after the first fake ov so I didn't even have a chance!

Fingers crossed for EVERYONE this month. We've been through enough in the past year-2 years don't you think? X x X

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/05/2014 08:19

I do remember vic and thanks lindsey and jesse I know we are all here because we'rr in the same boat. I think if AF had arrived on monday I would have been less upset. Its the trouble with getting your hopes up isn't it?

So I've experienced a late ov and longer cycle.

Those who use CB ov tests, the none flashing ones, where do you get them?

#staying positive

(disclaimer, I don't yse # but seemed appropriate)

m33r · 08/05/2014 08:44

#rage!!! I'm so sad for you notta as I was for you last month vic. This whole thing is ridiculous! I am positive. I stay positive. We keep trying. We hear each other along but this is ridiculous! I'm just saying FFS!

Sorry, very unhelpful comment. I am back to being positive And send everyone lots of wine (especially notta)

Happy Friday Eve!

I've actually "given up" wine this month to maximise my chances, and caffeine! except in chocolate read somewhere that non drinkers are 50% more likely to conceive. Whatever. Does 20 years previous drinking count?!

Was chopping up some tomatoes last night and dh said he'd been reading something that they had sperm boosting qualities. So he's been reading up has he? Woohoo!! I can chance him for the better yet :-) I've been trying to slip veg and seeds into his diet quietly for months!

lil1ady · 08/05/2014 11:13

so sorry notta. was really hoping it was your month. allow yourself to cry. then in a few days plan your next attack. Thanks

MB1985 · 08/05/2014 11:37

I got mine from Amazon notta around £32 I think inc delivery for 20 sticks (supposedly 2 months worth but I reckon if your body plays ball you could get 3 months out if it)

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 08/05/2014 14:31

Oh Notta I'm sorry, I was so hopeful for you, how utterly crap. Small consolation that at least your cycles are regular and doing the right thing, AF was late because you ov'd late sort of thing...take time to indulge in wine, chocolate and have a good cry, and know that we are all here going through the same sht and crying with you! Rant warning - why is it that so many lazy, useless benefits scum have baby after baby they don't look after properly and decent people struggle to have what all bloody women were designed for in the first place! Evolution has gone totally wrong somewhere.
So far today I have been told one of my work colleagues mrs' is 20 weeks tomorrow, an old friend is due anyday, and whilst out on my lunch walk having a lovely time pondering on what DH and I would do for our holiday I am confronted with another, heavily pg, work colleague walking along too.Sigh. It is just everywhere.
Vic how are you finding the non wine and caffeine? Not sure I am brave enough yet, but desperate measures......
Anyway, got that out of my system now, new thread, new positive thoughts! Wondering whether to POAS or not tomorrow, will be cd29 which was when AF arrived last month, and I have had all the usual tick boxes to say she is on her way, actually not sure if I even have any sticks in the house!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 08/05/2014 14:33

Forgot to say welcome hibou, hope your stay with us is short!

victoria401 · 08/05/2014 15:24

Hi ginger! Felt really ill after I gave up my daily coffee actually! Massive headaches, exhaustion, tiredness and muscle aches! Felt like I'd had a massive workout after a drinking session! 2 days I was really bad but I'm still suffering from being very tired a week later! I've not stopped with the wine, just not drinking a glass of something in front of the tv most evenings. Limiting it to a wine when I meet a friend in the pub instead.

I also wonder why some people are allowed to get preg and we aren't! Did you watch any if the adoption season programs? The thick inbred alcoholics and druggies pumping out babies that just get taken off them from neglect. Made me so angry!
