Those weeks will fly by May x at least its only a month away not 6 months! Less than 2 weeks wait for me now! and I'm used to those by now! been waiting since June for this!

lildottie · 15/08/2014 11:50

I've just chased our next appointment. sounds like it will be end of sept/early Oct so at least I can stop rushing to the doormat like a mad thing when the post arrives for a few weeks now!

Lindsay81 · 15/08/2014 12:08

Hi girls! Hope everyone is OK. Crossing my fingers for your DH vic that there is some improvement.
hibou I hope AF doesn't come and that your time here is non-existent! If not, we're an OK bunch to hang around with for a while :)

Well, surprise surprise the NHS buggered up my HSG, which was meant to be this Monday, and called me at 4:30PM on the Friday so cancel it because "the room didn't exist anymore". Umm, okaaayyyy... Can't call until my next day 1 and I will be on holidays then so I've probably got a 2 month wait now. Grrrrr!!!

On a happier note, remember my 12 day LP last month after over a year of sub 10 days? Well, that was ov-ing on day 16 of a 27 day cycle. CBFM says I ovulate today, day 15! Maybe it is creeping back to a "normal" cycle!!! So far DTD has only been cd10, 13 and tonight (likely, as we are going out for dinner and stuff). That's pretty good going for us, tbh Blush Work is just insane. I'm hopeful that O-2 and O-day itself would be good enough though?

Here's a wee poll question (keeping positivity in mind!): AF will be due the day we go on holiday. It is a big, exotic holiday that we have spent lots on and saved hard for. It also involves vineyards, wine, jet skis, wine, seafood, wine(LOL) and all sorts of non-baby friendly activities... Part of me thinks if i was to be late, I just don't test til I get home? What would you do?

Lindsay81 · 15/08/2014 12:09

Brilliant news maybug! I've felt a bit more positive since my first fertility appointment, I think because it's as if it is in someone else's hands now. Pressure is off a little. It will fly in :)

Lauraqc · 15/08/2014 13:30

Lindsay - I vote don't test! Go and eat, do mad jetski things and enjoy yourselves! This is the only instance where a +ve is not good - if you test and it's not then you'll be down on your hols and if you are then you'll not want to eat and drink!!! Thinking positive thoughts!

Glad you've all got your appts at last! Ours is next week having waited since July which I don't think is too bad and I only had 2 drs appts and got referred on the second. I'm 33 though now and feel like an ageing dinosaur with time running out!!

maybug3 · 15/08/2014 17:44

Lindsey definitely don't test. Enjoy your holiday and the best bit will be the excitement building if still no af when you get to the end of your holiday and can then test!

Good luck for all appointments and let me know what to expect for mine. Already feel nervous.

Laura I'm 33 too as are quite a few on this thread so quite a bunch of dinosaurs! Still we're the right side of 35 which is all important.

cooperG · 15/08/2014 17:52

Glad to hear some good news on a Friday ladies :)

I'm on cd9 now, so the week and a bit of shagging will commence tonight.. Sick of timed dtd now but never mind...

Have a great Friday night all!

victoria401 · 15/08/2014 19:47

Hiya! Happy Friday!

How dare they do that to you Lindsay! Where did the room go exactly?! That sucks you have to wait even longer. At least you have your hol to look forward to, sounds amazing! Because my last 2 cycles have been a few days longer, I'm likely to be getting my af after next the week we are on hol :-( if they had been my average 29 I was due 5 days before and it was going to be over, now I'll have to pack tampons!

Laura I'm 34 and a half so feel your pain on the old crusty dinosaur thing! Wish I was 33 again, didn't sound so bad!

Seems a few of us have appointments next month. Good luck to us all!

m33r · 16/08/2014 08:48

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd pop in and see how you're all doing. Glad appts are coming up thick and fast but what a nightmare when they're put off. Grrrrr!

lindsay fwiw, my vote is because you're on holiday, I'd take a test and test much later than you would at home. The only reason i say that is if you get to three days late and don't have a test you'll go mad. The risk though is that you get angry with yourself for even packing the test - I did this twice while ttc and it gave me RAGE but in the spirit of keeping positive... (Btw, I actually took 2 in case one was feint)

Anyway, glad you're all hanging in there and FX the tests etc will help and some BFPs will come this way. X

Morning ladies,

Had a letter yesterday from gynae changing my app to late September how annoying but I spose it gives me more time to loose weight.

Im only 26 but it doesnt make you feel any better I can tell you that!!

Lindsay I vote taking tests with you and only doing if AF doesnt turn up!!

Vicky Im sorry your having a hard time with your DH it does sound like hes depressed it might be worth getting him to go to docs and seeing if they can help him. If they can itll be a bonus for you because hopefully he start to understand that dtd might help.

May it really does fly, itll be three month in september since my first appointment and its going really fast!!

Hope everyone is okay!!

Lauraqc · 16/08/2014 18:08

m33r so lovely to see you! Hope you're feeling well and pregnancy is suiting you!

It's been a lovely saturday minus being on call for work! Feeling very appreciative of the life I have at the moment and feeling positive about stuff which is a relief! Keep thinking the hospital will know by now how DH's sa result is and how much that could affect us...just got to make it to Wednesday now (hey at least it's a lay in and a day off work!!)

lildottie · 17/08/2014 17:29

sil had her baby today, a day earlier than planned. obviously happy for them but feeling a bit raw about it.

Lauraqc · 17/08/2014 17:54

Chin up Lil it'll be your turn soon.

lildottie · 17/08/2014 18:32

stupid phone!

maybug3 · 17/08/2014 18:34

Sorry Lil. It doesn't matter how happy you might be for someone it doesn't take the pain away. At least you were obviously feeling very grateful towards Laura Wink

lildottie · 17/08/2014 23:55

lol, clearly I was may. the bath bomb, chocolate and bottle yes bottle of prosecco tonight helped immensely though!!

Lauraqc · 18/08/2014 20:39

Hahahaha no, no, no, no problem :)

Had a nice chat with DH yesterday about the impending first hospital appt. He is addicted to pepsi max, wouldn't know a vegetable or piece of fruit if it hit him in the gonads, takes 2 hot baths per day and doesn't exercise (god he sounds like such a catch on paper!) and i'm very worried his swimmers aren't up to scratch. I asked him what his intentions would be toward any advice from the hosp if it was bad news. Luckily he said he'd have to try whatever he's told will work. Made me feel a bit better mid-meltdown. The closer it gets the more nervous i feel. He pointed out that we may not get any answers at all which i agree would be worse...

We've arranged to go out for a nice lunch after the appointment though to talk things through whatever it is, so that will be something to look forward to.

Lil wow chocolate bath and prosecco - that sounds like one fabulous evening!

lildottie · 18/08/2014 20:46

Laura are you married to my dh? he was addicted to Pepsi Max among other caffeinated vices! he now drinks caffeine free diet coke instead of the Pepsi. still not ideal but at least its a step in the right direction!

the prosseco and chocolate were amazing. just what I needed. feel fine with it all today. think I just needed to have my wallow in self pity to get through it. went to see them in hospital tonight and had lots of cuddles. she's amazing. so so cute. but I want a take home one!

xBlueberry88x · 19/08/2014 14:29

Laura My DP doesnt eat anything good him, eats so much sugar everyday and drinks loads of tea...but his SA was fine I wouldnt worry to much.

maybug3 · 19/08/2014 14:49

Laura - at least he's clean ;-)
Don't read anything into it. My dh is super fit and healthy apart from the odd drink but has no swimmers. There is no logic to it as far as I can see.

Lil - glad the prosecco and chocolate did the trick. There is nothing wrong with feeling low we just need to be able to bring ourselves back up again afterwards.

Lindsay81 · 19/08/2014 15:20

Random thought: We just HAVE to have another bfp on here before we move onto our third thread. I really think we will! I have a good feeling about it :)
