Hopefully we'll see more BFPs on this one!

Just try to not think about it. Really try may. Enjoy your holiday. Thinking of you xx

I understand completely May. You prob read all the hassle we had getting dh's sa results? We were meant to get the results of ours before our hol too. In the end we left calling the docs until after we got back, and I'm glad we did. The holiday actually took our minds off thinking about the results. We had a great time and I'm just so glad we didn't know. I hope you can enjoy your holiday too.

Sounds like your docs are even worse than mine though! They shouldnt be allowed to get away with leaving people hanging and not knowing the results of their own tests on their own bodies! Ooo it makes me so cross! I hope things get better for you soon. Few deep breaths and keeping fighting!

Mam31 · 11/06/2014 22:27

Thanks M33R, yes I think I'm gona go on my own for 1st one. It's not with the fertility clinic, just gynae so feel ok about it. But my friend will meet me straight after for sure. Oh I so hope there's nothing wrong with my ovaries it's such a scary thought.

Thanks ladies for all the advice and kind words...you are too lovely! :)

Spotting has not been back since late afternoon when I had the cramps. Nothing since but I'd say it will increase over the next couple of days with full flow on sat.

The spotting is so much better though, I wonder if my diet has anything to do with it as that's really the only thing that has changed.

maybug3 · 11/06/2014 22:52

Thanks vic. I had indeed been comparing my experience with yours and I really hope we can enjoy our holiday as much as you did.

Am going to disappear from here for the next 10 days so that I limit my obsession and hopefully help me to forget. I'll be back once I know the answers.

Have a fantastic week all. I hope I return to some bfp's!

m33r · 11/06/2014 23:06

All the best may. X

mama I'm sure your ovaries will be fine. I loved seeing mine! Quite amazing.

OP posts:
victoria401 · 12/06/2014 06:45

They never showed me my ovaries! She kept the screen pointed away towards her the whole time and didn't explain what was going on! No fair! That was back in April. Only now know that I had a ruptured follicle showing recent ovulation from talking to the good doctor that has hopefully referred us!

Mam31 · 12/06/2014 07:37

Hi ladies! Full flow has arrived! 23 day cycle with no warning! But I don't feel I should count that tiny bit of spotting yesterday since af is full flow today; which means for the 1st time in 13 cycles- no pre af spotting!!!!!! :) and I am certain it's to do with the change in my diet! It has to be as that's all I've changed this cycle!

Also no sore boobs, no af pain/cramps apart from small cramps for a very short while yesterday but nothing today so far.

I will be remaining on this diet!!! :) have lost 7lbs so far and af appears much better! And I'm not an emotional wreck with af arrival, I feel ok.

So onwards and upwards to my 1st appointment! :)

lil1ady · 12/06/2014 09:48

mama in the spirit of positivity I'm going to snub your AF and congratulate you on no spotting instead! sounds like you've made some impressive changes on the diet, so hopefully you'll be pg within the magic 3months!

hsg went well apart from breaking down in tears the minute I got in there . looks like my tubes are OK but they have a more detailed look at pictures before my appt. appt will be 4-6weeks apparently. more waiting!

Lindsay81 · 12/06/2014 15:19

mama That is amazing! No spotting at all and better PMS symptoms! :-))))

It is also must be the week for appointment letters because we just got our through today. It's still 5 weeks away but at least it's sorted now.

What should I expect at this first appiointment? It says DH should come but doesn't say anything about what the consultant will be doing. Do you think she will run any scans or anything or just talk to us and then refer me back for scans etc?

Lindsay81 · 12/06/2014 15:22

mama are you still on the agnus castus? I stopped it in a right funk after the 2nd cycle on it was such a crappy luteal phase! Haha! Also stopped all my prenatals (including folic acid- GASP!) and have gone completely au nutarale! Had a decent LP of 10 days last month, but the proof of whether or not it is actually improving will be this second month I guess.

onelifeonechance · 12/06/2014 19:16

Hi ladies, hope you're all well and enjoying the sunshine Smile

I can't keep up with you all. Please no one take offence at my shocking memory but from the bits I've read I'd like to say well done to Vic for pushing the docs, go girl! Yeay to m33r and lil that your tubes are both fine ladies, ginger I could have written your posts about loving having a month off - I thought I'd hate it but actually found it v relaxing and could get back to 'normal' life a bit but yes the craziness and roller coaster started again for me straightaway, hope you're doing ok, mama hurrah on the no spotting, it deserves a place in the mumsnet Guinness book of records! Lindsay, loving the au natrelle approach and fx for a longer lp (followed by a bfp please!). Maybug, happy hols to you, hope you can relax and enjoy. Blue hope you're doing ok and hanging in there and Imaginary if you're reading this I hope you're ok hon, thinking of you.

Hope that's everyone, if not I'm so sorry, but there's a lot of you to keep up with!! As for me I'm smepping it and hoping my shiny flushed tubes make a good route for dh's little fellas!! Grin

Mam31 · 12/06/2014 19:29

Thanks lil. Glad your hsg is over for you and hope that does the trick for you ;)

Lindsay I stopped the AC it was making me feel awful, bloated and I gained weight on it! It hadn't stopped the spotting and I gave it 4 cycles to see, but not much improvement. It did give me a longer LP but still had the spotting!

Also going au naturalle, apart from folic, b6 and epo but they are for pms mainly. And tonight, I'm going to try gin! Hahahaha! Af is here so might as well try and enjoy myself!

onelifeonechance · 12/06/2014 19:34

Jesse, sorry! Knew I'd mess up!! So so please all your results are fine and dh's sound ok and like they can be improved from what others say. Hope your appt next week goes well, keep us posted!

Mama, loving the gin sampling, enjoy!! Grin

Hibou7688 · 12/06/2014 19:55

Hey all! Was away last week and just spotted new thread...thought it had been quiet! Will go back and read what you've all been up to...

So. Yesterday I went to dr for my 2nd blood results. Suspected PCOS. Now been referred to Bedford hosp (anyone know how long I'm looking for a referral appt?) and DH has to do a test. He looked stricken.

Still had to actually convince Dr that it's pointless to keep dtd when no period now for 6 months and that she should just get the ball rolling...

Been told to lose weight too. All in all a pretty shitty week!

Mam31 · 12/06/2014 21:55

Hibou I have had this before but I am a serial spotter, the spotting has reduced a lot though over the months. But I did get it 5-6dpo a couple of times. Not certain that's what yours is but it could be a random cycle with early spotting. Who knows why this happens. I think I got it once when I was on antibiotics, not sure if that was connected or not but remember it was just after Christmas and I had a chest infection, and I started spotting really early around 5dpo.

Mam31 · 12/06/2014 21:56

Thanks one! The gin is going down a treat :) with diet tonic of course....like that makes it ok..... lol

Jessewalt · 13/06/2014 09:07

Mr Jesse just got his semen analysis results from the private clinic (third sample in total, 2 done nhs) and this time it has g

Jessewalt · 13/06/2014 09:10

Stupid phone!
This time it has gone from 12% motilty to 39%. But there is a comment on the bottom of the form saying "based on this sample we would recommend ICSI".
Can't really believe that. Surely if 39% (which is above normal level) this cant be the case.
Anyway, we have a consultation next week.
I am getting the impression that the private fertilty place is more of an IVF factory than anything else!
Oh well need to wait to spea to them xx

onelifeonechance · 13/06/2014 09:24

Hmmm, yes Jesse, I would be inclined to see what they say and their reasons for it. It's fab news that it is a much better result, were the other factors ok too? If so that means his sample is fine?? So why recommend ICSI? Have you also got an NHS appointment coming up?

Happy Friday ladies Smile

m33r · 13/06/2014 12:04

Folks I think they put the recommendation based on you being 'diagnosed' with unexplained IF So ultimately we'll all have a recommendation to go forward in some way ifyswim ??

stepmama84 · 13/06/2014 13:14

Hello ladies,
Been awol trying not to get overly consumed with everything. I have been keeping up to speed with you all. Interesting how we all seem to be having our visits from AF in the same week and roughly at the same place with all the investigations.
Glad to hear you're all on top of your gp's and got some results, although some are hard to hear at least you know the reason and can start to do something about it. It's amazing how that vitamin (can't remember name) can improve the motility of the sperm by such a significant amount!

I read about the IVF treatments abroad being cheaper, but the cycle takes about 3 months so wouldn't you need to take time off work and be abroad for that long? Surely it would end up costing more in lost earnings, accommodation etc?

I had my private consultation yesterday all went well. We are starting our IVF next cycle seen as we dtd on Monday and they don't like to take the chance that I could be pregnant even if it is so close to the first day of cycle and I wasn't ovulating.

We both went for blood tests today to check hep b/c and hiv before we start the process. Dh rolled his sleeve up as though he was about to have a vaccination and completely panicked as he was talked through the blood test lol. At least we were able to laugh.
Made me very grateful that in my situation there are no problems with him. If he had to do more that wank in a pot, there would be problems, he is such a scardy cat when it comes to doctors.

All is feeling very surreal, happy to have a plan and know that it's just a matter of time, sad that it has come to this and absolutely freaking out at all I have to go through!!!!!

Jesse, I would say that by going private they are assuming you want intervention and therefore are recommending which process will work for you. My doc yesterday said they only like to recommend ICSI if they absolutely have to, as eggs can be broken etc etc
xxxx

Can anyone tell what are the best vitamins to improve male fertility please
