How did your eggs get on overnight HB?

barkingtreefrog · 08/05/2014 17:37

I've always thought there was a case for injecting contraception into every female (and male) at 14, and those who want to have a child can apply to have the antidote at a suitable point. Bingo. No more unwanted pregnancies or 'accidents'.
I quite like the idea of having to sit an exam as well Grin .

Let's make one up. Who's going to start us off writing the questions? Wink Grin

lady hand holding available over here.

hb any news on the eggs?

bushy how are you doing?

RevoltingPeasant · 08/05/2014 20:09

Nolly I didn't know you were a fellow lunatic academic. What subject?

Lady are you feeling okay?

DH didn't call again today. He keeps saying he doesn't have time at work as he needs to sneak off to a private meeting room to make the call - which is fair enough as he works in an open plan office - but FOR THE LOVE OF BABY JESUS I WISH HE WOULD SODDING WELL GET ON WITH IT.

I may be slightly frustrated Grin

ladybunnikins · 08/05/2014 20:53

RP can he tell you his schedule and then you make the call?

I'm OK, just trying to forget about tomorrow, feel a bit bloated on and off so then I get hopeful that it's OHSS returning which means a BFP but it could just be explained by the progesterone, as could the night sweats/insomnia/vivid dreams. Also a bit of nausea but I know it's too early for morning sickness and I get nauseated before AF.

tigerdog · 08/05/2014 21:00

What a day! After after 11 hours in the office I arrive home to a scene resembling some kind of massacre. The dog had ripped a claw off right up to the nail bed and, being a greyhound, bled all over the place. Worst thing is, she did it when OH was at home but he thought she was treading in some wet blossom from the tree (which is bright pink to be fair) so didn't worry. Poor love. Needless to say we had to dash to the vets and have spent the thick end of £100 on getting her bandaged etc. then the vet clipped her other claws and caught the quick on another one, cue loads more blood. My nerves can't take it! All I can say is thank goodness we don't have carpets downstairs! Aside from an impressive bandage, and a gangsta limp, she seems to be ok!

How is everyone else?

lady hope you're ok. Sending more positive vibes x

bushy hope you managed a shorter day today and you're doing ok!

hb hope everything is progressing well!

rp I totally understand your frustration. He must be very nervous about it

barking even some sort of vague test of being normal would suffice. I manage a right weirdo who has 5 kids ffs. Poor things don't stand a chance of being normal!!

BoodleDoo · 08/05/2014 21:39

Lady - thinking of you and I really hope it's good news for you tomorrow. x

RevoltingPeasant · 08/05/2014 21:53

Lady thanks. No, I think he would need to make the appt himself - can't see a hospital allowing a spouse to do that.

We have had Words. I was admirably restrained. He will do it tomorrow Hmm

Lady everything is crossed for you, everything!!

HB???

ladybunnikins · 08/05/2014 21:53

Tiger what a nightmare, £100 is an expensive doggy pedicure, glad she's OK now.
Thanks, Boodle, what's next for you, are you planning a second cycle soon? Did you find out anymore about your unusual embryos?

TheRainDrops · 08/05/2014 21:54

lady channeling tonnes of positivity and good luck your way for tomorrow.

tiger oooh poor doggy! I love greyhounds - my brother used to have a galgo who was the most gorgeous thing, and now has a retired racing greyhound who is huge, daft as a brush and completely lovely. We had a cat once who managed to get glass in his paw the morning we were due to go on holiday! He kept flicking his paw trying to shake the blood off, cue spatter all over the place. Nightmare!

rp I'd second the idea of offering to make the appt for him if he's finding it stressful? I think MrP would have similar nerves if he had to go in and produce his sample like a performing seal - luckily so far his SA samples have all been drop offs at the local hospital at his convenience. He has to do his tomorrow am after I've left for work.

bushy and hb hope you're both well, any news to share?

barking that sounds a bit like something from a Margaret Atwood but does make sense! How's the stabbing working out today?

I am 4DPO today and have had weird period type cramps on and off all day today, with (tmi alert) a LOT of cm. Does anyone else get post OV cramping? Going for Day 21 on Monday (should be 7 days before AF so hopefully ok).

barkingtreefrog · 08/05/2014 22:02

Oh no, tiger, poor hound Sad .

lady I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, take some berry strength Thanks . Check in and let us know when you can.

rp can he not just walk out of the building for 5 minutes? I can understand your frustration. I asked DH to cut down on the drinking when we knew we were having IUI this month. Just for two weeks. He had two beers when we went out for a meal on Thursday, two beers in the pub on Friday, then he was in the pub again on Saturday. But he 'only had two beers'. I know it's going to make very little, if any, difference at this late stage, but it makes a difference to me. I've had 3 dildocams in the space of 4 days, I've stopped drinking altogether and I'm injecting myself in the stomach daily. Seeing him quit the beer for just 10 days would make it feel like it wasn't all me going through it all!!! He's not even offered moral support for the stabbing, just told me I was a big girl and I'd be fine then left to walk the dog! Shock .

nolly3 · 08/05/2014 22:23

Best of luck for tomorrow lady.

Rp health policy. Didn't.know you were either, neat! What's yrs?

rain I get those cramps and always diagnose early pregnancy symptoms. Goddammed Dr Google.nothing ti worry about any way. Good news test arranged, always an uplift to have things moving isn't it.

Hope tomorrow more restful bushy Tiger and everyone else too

BoodleDoo · 08/05/2014 22:46

Next step? Not too sure, Lady.I haven't spoken to the clinic since depressing OTD. I think they've tried to ring as I get an unknown caller every Monday morning ( and Tuesday this week) but I'm always in lessons! I might just have to keep my phone out and just duck out of the lesson next week!

I guess I will do a second cycle at some point but I feel a bit weird about it at the moment. May wait until after the summer hols to give myself time to regroup.

greatbigbushybeard · 08/05/2014 22:53

God tiger what a day! hope your greyhound will soon be up for a spot of roaching soon.

because would love yoga tips but am nowhere near London. I suppose I'd just like to know what I should avoid and is it ok to stretch the mid section. My normal practice includes vinyasa, warrior, triangle, back bends, bridges, twists etc ( I don't know all the right terms for them!!). Would getting down on your front for cobra, back bends Etc be ok? I've been yoga-ing for over a year.

Even longer day today, left just after 7! But it's POETS day tomorrow!

How are you hb?

Best of luck lady x

FeatherFeather11 · 08/05/2014 23:02

Sending you Berrie power, lady. Will be checking in tomorrow for your news. Flowers

tiger poor pup! Greyhounds are the sweetest.

rain I get cm after ov but tends to be, ahem, thicker and white. Fx for you.

barking I think it may be men's way of dealing with ttc - it's hard for us, we go through the physical and emotional, but guys tend to stick their heads in the sand and continue on as they were. rp I totally sympathise and feel for you. My oh avoided the SA for ages and I had to have words too. We talked about it afterwards and he said that he was really fearful that it was him that was the issue and that he's convinced himself he had zero swimmers!

boodle hope you're well and all ok. Summer review sounds a plan. All my ttc/FC stuff is on hold and up for review after the wedding. FC has been giving me missed calls too and I seem to be evading them. I know I should call but they have a way of triggering my "quick! Time is running out you barren mess" alarm and I'm quite enjoying not being in the hospital loop after last year being so, so intense.

How's everyone else? Sorry if I've missed anyone but I can't log in to mn on my iPad and my phone only let's me scroll back so far.

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/05/2014 03:00

Hand holding Lady. Hope you're ok

lumen · 09/05/2014 06:14

Best of berry luck to you today lady. Hi to all other berries, on my phone and have shocking memory so no chance on mentioning you all! Happy Friday everyone Grin

BecauseIsaidS0 · 09/05/2014 06:49

Bushy, twists are to be avoided. Forward bends are ok as long as you are not overdoing it and it's uncomfortable on your belly; same with backbends. Lying on your front (eg for cobra) not recommended. And most importantly, don't overheat.

happylass · 09/05/2014 07:39

Wishing the lovely Lady all the very best for today. We are all here rooting for you Flowers
Tiger hope your pooch makes a speedy recovery.
Hope all the IVFers are doing ok.
We had our letter yesterday to say that we are on the waiting list for ICSI. So that'll be happening around November 2015
Sorry to hear some of you are having trouble with your menfolk although I think we sometimes forget all this is a nightmare for them too. I have the opposite problem as DP is an impatient bugger. He took himself off to the GP after just 4 months of TTC and demanded a SA as getting a BFP was "taking too long" (oh the irony!). He also asked if I thought I was pg yet less than 24 hours after I took my last pill Confused. Seriously though I hope your fellas get themselves sorted soon as, if something is wrong, its better to know about it so you can get the right treatment.
Have a great day all!

RosieintheAlps · 09/05/2014 08:02

Just checking on to wish all the best for today, lady. Still keeping fingers crossed for bushy and HB.

RP, hope DH makes the call today.

Sorry for the silence on my part. Will be back at some later point. We had a bereavement in the family.

funkymonk · 09/05/2014 08:08

Haven't read back yesterday's posts as still in bed and need to get up for work, but just wanted to say lady, thinking if you today and will keep refreshing for your news. Flowers

Just quickly checking in to wish Lady all the luck in the world today. Everything is absolutely crossed for you.

HampshireBlues · 09/05/2014 08:19

Morning all.

Lady good luck today
Tiger hope your greyhound is feeling better, they are the laziest but most accident prone dog but I wouldn't swap mine.

So the clinic called; all 11 initially fertilized, 9 have continued to divide and 3 are top quality. Looks like we are on for a day 5 transfer Smile

Thank you all for your thoughts x

FeatherFeather11 · 09/05/2014 08:21

Ahhh hb that's great news!!

TheRainDrops · 09/05/2014 08:41

Sorry to hear your news rosie - look after yourselves.

hb that's brilliant - roll on next week!!

lady every shred of luck your way today.

MrP went to drop his sample off - GP gave him the wrong bloody pot so he has to do it again FFS.
