Lady, I'm so sorry. I really thought this would be your day. Hope you can come back and vent when you are ready Flowers

RevoltingPeasant · 09/05/2014 19:28

Oh and Rosie sorry about your news too.

HB well done, sounds promising! When is day 5 then?

Jolly I'm in English lit

In other news, DH actually called the clinic and made an appt for the 21st. I celebrated by spending £100 on white paint and painting accessories at Homebase. I shall have a riveting day tomorrow painting the downstairs loo.

Great news rp on your dh's appointment. Enjoy your paint party Smile

Gillster · 09/05/2014 20:03

So sorry Lady - gutting and so unfair. I hope in time you can get some answers as to why it may not have worked again. It's probably little consolation at the moment but you at least have some frosties from this cycle. Take care of each other. Big hugs. X

Gillster · 09/05/2014 20:12

Great news HB, hope your embies continue to behave Smile

Yay to the SA being booked RP!

Sorry for your bereavement Rosie, hugs.

I watched all the "Wanted - A family of my own" last night. Was in tears of course and in absolute awe of the foster parents shown. I think this is an avenue (adoption) I'd definitely like to pursue if things don't work out for us. I've given myself a mental deadline of about a year but will obviously have to discuss with DH as not sure on his feelings on the matter.

Pipbin · 09/05/2014 20:16

Hello ladies, just marking my place.
Am I the longest standing berry?

beakybeak · 09/05/2014 20:55

HB sorry I missed your news! Great news and fx now for your ET.

Bushy how's your wait going?

Rain I get post ov cramping and pains, fx it is implantation for you though! I can't believe the GP gave your dh the wrong pot! Does he have to wait a few days before he can do the next one now?

Love the sound of your jobs RP and Nolly! Must be really interesting. RP great news about your dh's appointment! Good luck with your painting, that's my least fave DIY job ever and I'm shit at it!

Gill I don't think I could manage that programme at the minute, I'd be in floods! And I take my hat off to anyone who could be a foster parent, what amazing people. It's so sad that there are children who need to be fostered or adopted at all.

How's things going with you Pip?

TheRainDrops · 09/05/2014 21:08

rp get that man a beer for finally pulling his.....finger......out! Wink.

pip hello stranger! I am not sure on the chronology of the Berries, when were they founded?

gill I watched one of those last week - it was very moving and definitely switched my brain on to the concept of adoption but I am not ready for that yet - come on womb, we can do it!

beaky I'm not kidding myself that it's anything to do with implantation! but I am pretty sure post OV cramps are new for me, I often get them during OV but not after. Maybe my sodding CBFM got it wrong AGAIN this month, which will mean we were shagging at totally the wrong time and now MrP is away anyway.
He does have to go back, ideally on Tuesday but he's off for the weekend with his brother so he'd have to sneak a quick 'release' in tomorrow for the swimmers to be fresh on tues, which might be a bit awkward as they're sharing a room! Grin

happylass · 09/05/2014 21:09

Ah lovely Pip. Great to see you. What's happening with you at the moment?
Great that your DH had made an appointment RP
Another pg announcement in work today taking the current bump total to 3. Another bloody instadifer too Angry. This one started TTC after her wedding in late December. She is now 14 weeks pg and it doesn't help that she is the only person I've ever worked with that I really dislike

happylass · 09/05/2014 21:12

Yes Pip has the dubious honour of being the longest standing Berry. Shortly followed by me . I believe the actual first over 30s thread was started by Bunny in September 2012 but we didn't become the Berries (or Elderberry Pavlovas) until the next thread circa October 6th 2012.

Gillster · 09/05/2014 21:16

Sorry about the bump news Happy, bloody hard to take.

In terms of Berry chronology, I think Happy, Barking, Boodle, Pip, and Lady were all here before me. I've been on the thread about a year I think.

beakybeak · 09/05/2014 21:22

Oo Rain tricky for him! Well you never know re the cramps, especially if it's not something you normally get. Positive thoughts heading your way!

Happy so sorry about the instadiffer colleague and the others. What a rubbish work environment for you.

happylass · 09/05/2014 21:23

I've just found my first Berry post cos I've got nothing else to do. 18th September 2012. I was 34 and still waiting for AF to return after coming off the pill. This was in the days before Bunny introduced the entrance criteria Smile

Bunnygirlie · 09/05/2014 21:30

lady so sorry to read your news Flowers

Hi everyone

Yep the berries are all my fault I'm afraid Wink but I think the entrance criteria was a gradual process after a few instadiffers.

Pipbin · 09/05/2014 21:36

I think there were a few instadiffers.

As for me, I've got one more round of IVF to go, but I need to lose about a stone before I do it as I've put weight on.

BoodleDoo · 09/05/2014 22:08

I joined on thread 3 in December 2012. I think I'm 3rd on line to the throne behind Pip and Happy but don't sweat it you two, I'm not planning to 'do away' with you to get to the top!

Gilster, I know what you mean about the adoption programme. I feel a lot better about the failed IVF knowing that it's still not the end of the road, even if my destination is somewhat different to planned. I can have 1 more round of IVF on the nhs but I don't feel up to it at the moment; like Pip, I'd quite like to shift some weight first.

barkingtreefrog · 09/05/2014 22:49

Ooo, hello pip Smile .
rp glad he finally made the call!

I joined the berries in Feb '13. I'd been happily ttc for 14 months, thinking it was just going to take a little longer, then started temping and discovered I had an 8 day LP. Googling luteal phase brought me to an old thread on mn, then I found a fellow short LP queen in boodle so I stuck around Grin .

I've been ttc over 28 months which means I've doubled my ttc time while being on these berry threads Shock . Time for me to move on! And there are a few other old timers that need to come with me! (maybe after the end of the school year pip and boodle?)

Gillster · 09/05/2014 22:58

I did feel pretty positive this morning after watching the adoption programmes. I could definitely see myself with children whether they come from me or someone else Smile. Did you see the episode with the gay parents, they were amazing!

I've potentially (fingers crossed) got two frozen rounds to go (one of which completes my first IVF cycle) and then I'd be prepared to fund one more private cycle. After that I think I will be done as I'll be pretty close to 41. Given that the adoption process is a 6 month minimum, I wouldn't want to leave it any longer as I'd be 42 without any kids and that is frankly getting ridiculous!!

barkingtreefrog · 10/05/2014 08:15

gillster I'm pretty much the same. We plan to exhaust the NHS options (IUI and one full cycle of IVF), then possibly one private round of IVF depending on whether it looks worth another try (once we know how I've responded to the drugs etc). After that it's on to adoption. We've said this all along, and DH has always reassured me by saying there will be a child at the end of this process, one way or another. I'd like to adopt a 3+ year old as by the time we get there that's the age all our friends' children will be anyway (and I'm not so fussed about the baby stage).
I've not seen the latest episode (it's recorded, I'll watch it on my own!) but I think the episodes have been a great advert for adoption so far. There's always a lot of bad press around adoption and the damaged kids that are in care, but looking at the kids my parents have fostered (around 40) there are a couple in there that would be difficult, but none I don't think I could cope with. I think the gay couple demonstrated beautifully how good parenting can overcome an awful lot (not to dismiss problems that won't 'diaappear'). I see the same at school. I've always wanted to conduct little social experiments, swop two children for a year and see the results when they've been parented by different families!! Grin

Ah, it's the weekend!!! Grin Grin Grin

BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/05/2014 09:14

Hello a Berries!

Big hugs to Lady.

I'm CD16 at the moment, started with the EWCM very early this cycle on CD11 so we really got on with it and then lost steam around CD14/CD15, so I don't have much hopes for this cycle.

But OTOH....yesterday was my last day at work! Woo hoo! I'm now a lady of leisure Grin

barkingtreefrog · 10/05/2014 09:19

Wow because, that's one looooong bank holiday weekend!!! What are you going to do? Did you watch that stress just evaporate?! Grin
I've just been replying to school emails in bed on the laptop! DH is grumpy because the weather is nice!! He and his mate decided not to go away camping this weekend because of the crap weather forecast, but it's stunning here this morning!!!

barkingtreefrog · 10/05/2014 09:20

That was a lot of !!!!!!. I do apologise.

beakybeak · 10/05/2014 09:29

Gill that sounds like a good plan, although I really hope your IVF after polyp removal is a success! Was it June for the removal? It's creeping round hey.

Because congrats on finishing! I'm sure you will enjoy this break whatever happens, but hopefully it will help you get your bfp.

How's the stabbing going Barking? When are you next in for a scan?

I had a dream last night I was Jennifer Anistons lawyer Grin not obsessed with her or anything... I was looking at hair pictures before I get mine done!

tigerdog · 10/05/2014 10:45

rp that is good news about your DH's appointment. I bet he is just very nervous about it.

beaky I'm at the hairdressers now. Always get talked out of having as much cut off as planned before I get there! I have also been having crazy dreams - often seem to towards the end of the 2ww. Weirdly, two nights in a row I dreamed that the dog got hurt, then a day later she actually did. Coincidence or some kind of premonition?! I'm slightly freaked out by it.

gil I watched if too. It didn't make me cry as much as the some of the others but I do find them very emotional to watch. I'd like to adopt but not sure OH is fully on board with it.

Wow because! Very jealous! How will you spend your time?

barking it started as a beautiful morning here but it's tipping down now so I'd expect rain to be on the way! How's the stabbing going?

Bushy how are you getting on?
