The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Bushy 6 weeks may be too soon to show a heartbeat. We saw one at 6 weeks 1 day. Don't be panicked if there is not one showing at this stage. They will just ask you to come back a week later and you will be in limbo land until then.

RosieintheAlps · 27/05/2014 19:53

Yay RP!!! Definitely borrowing the basting technique now! That's great news.

Bushy, wow, scan time. That's exciting.

funky, know what you mean about the headaches when thinking too much. So taking it one day at a time seems to be the best. Is your OH a contractor? Is it possible that something else will come up in the meantime that is a better opportunity (at least in terms of staying with you and mini-funk?

Thanks, lovely ladies, for all your kind words. Think what we need is some down time. Holidays stress DP out and we had some of our most serious fights on holiday just recently - or rather one of the more serious 'We are fundamentally different' conversations. So we are trying to stay home and just be if that makes any sense.

tigerdog · 27/05/2014 20:05

Blimey I am struggling to keep up with everyone!

funky that must be really tough with DH going to NZ. So frustrating that life doesn't pan out at as planned for some of us.

bushy you should ask about Friday and see what happens. Your clinic seem happy to just leave you to it but don't worry about being a nuisance - pester the hell out of em I say!

rosie sorry things are so tough. This ttc business takes its toll. I have had to give myself a stern talking to recently as it was leaving me with a sense of dissatisfaction threatening to infect my whole life. OH was becoming increasingly miserable because he couldn't bear to see me being so sad. Hope things improve for you. X

feather I'd wait till Friday to poas. I rarely bother these days after pimping like crazy the first few months!

This month seems unlikely for me - SMEP fell by the wayside as OH was ill so we've only dtd twice. Temps suggest I haven't O'd yet though so perhaps there is still time!

Had the job interview today. Thought it went well, and would be disappointed not to progress to the next stage. Loved being in London and managed a quick drink with ex-colleagues. Really making me think about what I want from life....

barkingtreefrog · 27/05/2014 20:07

rp!!!! I told you to pimp yesterday!!!!!

Rosie, DH is a Dr and it's a fellowship he needs to go on to progress in his career. He applied at various places in Australia, NZ and Canada and got offered a place in NZ. It'll definitely be happening. I feel bad for not being excited at such a great opportunity. It's just come at the wrong time.

RP ! Come back! We need to know more!

greatbigbushybeard · 27/05/2014 20:51

Thanks funky. And yes tiger I will ring for Friday. Your 'lundun' job interview sounds good.. Know what you mean about other halves seeing us sad. It was a big thing for my husband to consider whether to Ivf or not as he didn't want it to tear us apart and he hated seeing me sad. And maybe it's 'business time' if you haven't oved yet. Ever since hearing that song in here I can't get it out of my head!!

Def a CLUSTERDIFF, CLUSTERDIFF, CLUSTERDIFF!!! Grin

greatbigbushybeard · 27/05/2014 20:52

Looking at the list there, how is winohh... Berry signal!!!

Gillster · 27/05/2014 21:02

Fab news RP! Excellent basting. I don't suppose it matters now about the details of your DH's SA. Will miss your stories/quotes once you graduate to the chopper.

RevoltingPeasant · 27/05/2014 21:02

Hello all Grin thanks for all the kind congrats! It doesn't feel real. I did pee on a second First Response in case the first one had made a mistake Hmm but it also came up with a line right away, so I think it's for real!

Weird. DH was a bit O RLY at first and quiet but he is a little proud of himself, I think.

Am just hoping it is a sticky one, so I might hang around for a bit here of that is okay!

Barking yes you knew Grin it will be you next - how many days to wait now, 7??

HampshireBlues · 27/05/2014 21:03

RP that's amazing news; congratulations!

Thanks for the messages & support berries. On phone at the mo so will catch up in a couple of days.

RevoltingPeasant · 27/05/2014 21:03

Oh I'm glad DH went for analysis, otherwise I wouldn't have the mental image of him walking into a roomful of doctors carrying a canister of jizz and looking lost.

beakybeak · 27/05/2014 21:04

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! RP that's amazing news! You have put a massive smile on my face Grin I'm so happy for you, CONGRATS!

Foodylicious · 27/05/2014 21:08

Woo Hoo RP!

FeatherFeather11 · 27/05/2014 21:13

RP!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!! I go away for a few hours and another Berrie bfp takes place! So, so pleased for you. Flowers xxx

FeatherFeather11 · 27/05/2014 21:15

barking really tempted. But holding steady. Didn't get any tests on the way home as that way madness lay. Can't have them in the house without wazzing on them Grin

beakybeak · 27/05/2014 21:30

Just catching up with everyone else!

Funky how difficult, one the one hand what an amazing thing, but on the other hand it totally gets in the way. Are you able to go as well? Also love the differ list, the amount of naturals give me hope too!

Bushy Just be pushy, you won't give it a second though afterwards! I say that but so far have not managed to be pushy myself.

Rosie that sounds like a good plan, I find in difficult times trying to keep normality is the best thing.

Tiger that sounds verrryyy interesting! Fx for you as it may be what you need and also encourage an inconvenient diff! An incondiff!! also get on it if you've not ov'ed yet!

Barking so what day do you pimp? Is it this weekend?

Win how's things going?

Otters thinking of you, how are you doing?

Feather just pop out for one? Haha no I'll not encourage you yet. But Friday I will!

I need Boodle! Has anyone seen the new travel
Lodge advert? There's a bit where it says about making babies and I got irrationally jealous of the actors in the advert making a pretend baby so easily. Ffs! One for the list I think.

I've been crying at nothing far too much lately and need to pull my head out of my arse. But seriously RP I have such a big grin from your news! How are you feeling? Any symptoms? Please hang around too Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 27/05/2014 21:55

I have no symptoms except for being even more slow on the uptake at work today. I was mostly thinking, please, please let me be able to blame this on being pg.

Feather you sooooooo want to.... Gwan gwan gwan Grin

Bushy yes, can you push for test? Is priavte an option? Sorry if you said and I missed.

greatbigbushybeard · 27/05/2014 22:03

Congrats again rp! Well I think we'll see what nhs come up with first. beaky love the term ' incondiff'!

funkymonk · 27/05/2014 22:11

Sorry tiger, missed your post in the excitement of the BFP! Were you tempted with thoughts of a London based career, regular after work drinking and other aspects of that life that may not be easy to do with a baby in tow?

Beaky sorry that you're feeling so fed up today. It's perfectly acceptable to have a good cry now and again. Where are you up to in this cycle? Did the random bleeding stop? ... I may be able to go with DH but don't really want to at the same time for reasons such as the dog, the mortgage, my family whom I'm very close to and if I got pregnant whilst over there I would be too terrified with my blood thing to get on a plane to fly home (plus with no NHS i would have to buy the daily heparin injections, which I imagine would be very expensive over the course of 9 months). If I'm diffed before he goes, then the same applies to not wanting to fly out there cuz of this risk. I theoretically ran it past my manager and she would give me a career break if I wanted to take it . It's making me all Confused

Yes please RP do hang around. I love the comedy you bring to this thread!

FeatherFeather11 · 28/05/2014 07:54

tiger move to London! Is an ace place to have kids. All my friends that do love it. Imagine maternity leave - no room for boredom (which is common, apparently) as there's lots of fun (and free) things for one to do! Good luck with the second round - am sure you'll get it.

Please don't go yet RP - will never forget how you found me being sad about ttc on a thread about a year ago and got me to join the Berries. You were like the Berrie shepherd!

Morning everyone else!

funkymonk · 28/05/2014 07:54

How are you this morning RP? Basting Queen!

OP posts:
beakybeak · 28/05/2014 08:20

Oo Funky tricky decisions coming your way then. What about your IVF referral? Would you be able to get one in before he left? I know that's not ideal as he'd be away though. I think my second AF was the start of my cycle, have been doing ov sticks and nothing yet so I'm not sure if the earlier bleed was the erroneous one. Neither very heavy. I know what you mean re the crying but it's happening too frequently for my liking. Need to knock it on the head somehow!

Feather you make having kids in London sound ace! A couple of my friends and family do and they are always up to cool stuff so I wouldn't be against it!

greatbigbushybeard · 28/05/2014 09:08

Morning, phoned clinic and secretary said they normally like to wait til 6 weeks 3 days as otherwise they mightn't see anything and that's more of a worry so this Friday looks a no no, as that's only 6 weeks 1 day. But she did say that she 'd get a nurse to ring me back... The dating thing is confusing me as I only know it's 6 weeks 1 day this Friday from the nurse saying yesterday when I phoned the bigger clinic. I just feel I have no idea what's going on. Isn't it meant to be straight forward berries? We all know you sniff a willy, don't realise you're pregnant, ( such a surprise) pee on a stick, get a positive, seamlessly go through to 12 weeks for scan, then onto 20 and then pop it out like you're shelling peas....

Dh asked me whether I felt more reassured yesterday, I said no. He agreed saying it's like we're in limbo land. And from my googling I don't think the worrying gets any better as it's all 'viable/ non viable' from the scans... Good lord!! Think I need the mantra of the miscarriage ladies which is 'today we are pregnant' and take it one day at a time.

Has anyone here had an early scan? I think funky said she had.

feather love your description of rp being the berry good shepherd. Smile

Foodylicious · 28/05/2014 09:21

You come on over to the chopper when you are ready rp, have you a new squishy seat that is not going anywhere.

I didn't venture over for a bit Smile
I crossed both threads for a bit until I did too much mentalling banned myself from MN for a while

barkingtreefrog · 28/05/2014 09:53

bushy definitely wait until Monday. I had an early scan at 7+3 and it measured 6 weeks. With my ridiculously late ovulation this could have made sense, so although we saw a dot and no heartbeat we were told all might still be ok and we had to come back in a week to see if it had grown. If waiting 3 days gives you a better chance of a heartbeat and takes away another horrible week of limbo it's well worth it.

9dpo today. Otd is monday but that's when I go away for 3 days with school so I will be pimping on sunday at 13dpo if I last that long. I said to DH last night it might be a good thing we'll have to wait until September to do another cycle if this doesn't work, give us a break. He looked forlorn and said 'we just want a baby' Sad Doesn't really seem too much to ask Confused
I didn't sleep last night though, so obviously that is a pg symptom and all will be good Hmm
