Baking congrats on the arrival of Faith. Wonderful news, especially now you are all at home together.

Mel3062 · 02/06/2014 04:33

20mg from cd 7

Arianrhod · 02/06/2014 09:09

choccy I can't believe your little lady is 12 weeks old already, how time has flown! Thinking about number 2 yet? ;) Yes, thanks, scan went well - at 12w4d baby 1 was measuring 13w and baby 2 13w2d. 14 weeks today, and feeling particulary lardy, although a lot of that is steroid weight gain from the 3 months I was taking them. I didn't ever get the 'moon face' but I gained about a stone in weight :(. I was hoping it would fall off, but I still have a belly that I shouldn't have!

duggs Wow, 20 weeks so soon? Fingers crossed it all goes ok - I'm still umming and ahhing over the doppler, I don't know that I want to give myself something else to obsess about! :)

/waves to everyone, hope you're all doing well

duggs1976 · 02/06/2014 09:13

Oh I think with twins you won't know which HB you have heard so that could be stressful.. Am sure both are doing just fine... What has DH said about twins? Has he come round to the idea? Mc

LunaGL · 02/06/2014 09:32

Ari so great to hear that all is progressing well with the pregnancy. I suspect that with twins, once you've had them the weight will vanish as you run around. After the battle that you have been through to get this far, what's a little extra weight if your prize at the end is you beautiful babies? Wink

Duggs so so happy for you. Time seems to have flown by (for me anyway).

Village / Team - how are you both doing?

Waves to everyone and I hope that we all have a lovely, stress free week xx

VillageMum · 02/06/2014 15:12

Ari wonderful news that you're into the fourteenth week and that all's going so well!

Duggs 20 weeks - wow! Another milestone. Thinking of you for Friday.

mel I've used the CBFM but actually found the digi OPKs worked just as well...

Team hope you're flourishing.

Luna I'm OK, last night of duty tonight and then the 2ww begins...

triple I take hydroxychloroquine continuously.
ari so pleased all is going well with you and the twins!

teamdozie · 02/06/2014 16:53

Hi all!

Ari such fantastic news in your scan! It's all so exciting!! At least you have a good reason for the weight gain!

Duggs 20 weeks already can't believe it! Enjoy it!!

Luna I'm good thank you!! How are you? Have you managed to get an answer with regards to your follie scan?

Village I'm keeping everything crossed for you for this tww!! I'm good thank you! Growing quite substantially! Baby is moving lots which makes me relax a bit more! But I'm still petrified! X

Triplespin · 02/06/2014 17:50

Ari, duggs - fantastic news. I feel more positive with your stories!

I had my follow up with Mr S and he pooh poohed St Mary's TEG test and does not want me to use heparin. Why? He said this test is not empirically validated, but I thought St Mary's never prescribe anything that hasn't been trialled or tested before? Any advice? I could from bfp take heparin, but I probably can't get away with it without telling Dr S. Hmm.

Mel3062 · 02/06/2014 19:39

Yes village I'm wondering that myself about just sticking with the digis :/
I used all 3different lots last month.. Pricey!!
Lovely to hear all this positive news.
That's strange as mr s was all for me having tinzerparin blood thinner unless that's different to Heperin? I'm now on clexane from day 7 with dr g :/ he didn't approve of hcg injections though!

Triplespin · 03/06/2014 07:59

Mel - it is bizarre and I think just a case of professional rivalry. He said he never prescribes clexane unless you are having ivf. Wow clexane also from cd7. Seems there is no agreement among consultants and it's hard to decide which way to go.

One of the big side effects for pred in the sheet given by mr S was heart failure! So freaky. Is that why he prescribes aspirin daily, to avoid blood clotting?

Aspirin is also highly debated. Some say it can impede implantation. Is everyone on it?

Triplespin · 03/06/2014 08:07

Btw I was not very impressed that they refused to give me any prescription and just handed me the medicines. Also with the blood tests as well they charge up front rather than letting us pay to TDL direct. Find there is some mark up going on.

Triplespin · 03/06/2014 08:07

Mel what are hcg injections? Sorry posting bit by bit!

Mel3062 · 03/06/2014 11:10

Jeez that's worrying about the aspirin :/ mr s and rmc had me on it then since seeing prof quenby and mr g I'm not on it now hoping clexane does the same then.
I had hcg injections (they maybe progesterone I think?!) when I was pregnant once a week by the rmc hospital but he poo pooed them.

It is strange as my rmc and prof quenby thinks I should have xlexane on a viable scan yet mr g has me on it from day 7!
The blood tests are like that with mr g too x

Triplespin · 03/06/2014 19:52

Yes they don't seem to agree on anything. I have heard prof q and rmc (st Mary's) don't like aspirin unless there is a predefined condition. Clexane at 7 days on is really early. Did you test positive for any thrombophilia conditions?.

BellyD · 03/06/2014 22:20

Ari that is such wonderful news about your scan. So glad things are progressing well for you.

Triple that is v worrying about the pred and heart failure! I never had that side effect info when I was under Dr S. What exactly does it say?

Triplespin · 04/06/2014 03:26

It was in small print I think. Let me read properly. I hope I haven't misread and now got everyone in a panic.

I already have insomnia without pred. Wonder what it will do to me.

Triplespin · 04/06/2014 14:07

Yes one of the side effects is congestive heart failure.

Mel3062 · 04/06/2014 18:14

Great glad I reduced from 40mg then!!

MrsPixieMoo · 05/06/2014 12:45

Hello everyone
I saw Mr S. He's really pleased with how I am and how the baby is and has discharged me to midwife only care. Am booked for a c section at the beginning of August (they've booked me for 4th, but got home and realised that is bank hol so can't be right?) and am now getting quite excited and teary. Went to Mothercare today to buy stuff for my hospital bag and it all seemed real and not too far off. Grin

teamdozie · 05/06/2014 14:14

Oh MrsP
That's brilliant news! Not long now then!
I hope the time does fly by for you though!
X

MrsPixieMoo · 05/06/2014 16:13

Thanks Team. It's so exciting to be close to the end. Just want to meet her now x

Mel3062 · 05/06/2014 17:33

Lovely news pixie x

VillageMum · 06/06/2014 08:44

MrsP I'm so happy for you. After all the worry and anxiety... here comes joy!

Team and Ari really glad to hear you're both doing so well!

This is just the briefest hello to everyone... Life has been taken over recently by DS's exams, but now they're over and I'm feeling huge relief!
