Great news MrsP! Are you having the CS with Mr S? I did and it was amazing!

Duggs, great news too. I'm so very pleased for you. DS was a whopper too at 8.11 when born one week early.

MrsPixieMoo · 07/06/2014 06:42

Thanks for all your lovely messages. Free Mr S booked me but I'm not sure who will actually do it. Probably his registrar?

freelancegirl · 07/06/2014 08:59

He did tell me people were always surprised to find out he a actually does do that sort of thing himself. We forget that he's so much more than the miscarriage clinic - head of gynaecology etc. He lifted DS out with his own hands! Wearing appropriate gloves etc of course :)

MrsPixieMoo · 07/06/2014 11:50

That would be lovely. Was just going by last time. My DD was an emergency CS delivered by a lovely, exhausted registrar. Would be fab if Mr S does it but will be happy whoever to be honest, as long as she's here safely.

Triplespin - After the teg test at st mary's I was prescribed just 150mg asprin from BFP, I got the impression that they did not prescribe clexane from the teg test. Also they said to me at the time, that they did not recommend asprin prior to confirmed implantation as from the research that they had done, it appeared to reduce the number of pregnancies in the group on it prior to bfp, so they assumed it was affecting implantation. I was prescribed clexane by a doctor who was prescribing me pred, but he seemed to be throwing the book at me with asprin and progesterone and high dose folic acid at the same time!!!!!

duggs - 20 weeks already - where does the time go!!!!

MrsPixie - enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy, they go so fast.

We are currently NTNP, as my body is still messed up from the last miscarriage.

Triplespin · 07/06/2014 21:51

Willitbe - as I understand you can test positive on TEG test for one or both of the following: clot strength or weak clot breakdown. For the former you get prescribed aspirin and for latter you get clexane as both work in diff ways. I find it hard to blv that an NHS funded hospital would be doing experimental testing and prescribing unnecessary medication, which is what Dr S implied. He said that he only suggests clexane if you test positive on a non St Mary's clotting test or are an ivf patient.

Ari wonderful news about your scan. As to steroid bloat I found I lost bulk around my middle if not actual overall weight whilst I was pg. Dd just kind of sucked it all up! I figured that at least some good use was coming out of it ??

Duggs you'll be able to feel him move soon which I found a great comfort. Makes it all much more real! Dd had a bigger than average head and abdomen throughout pg and I had gestational diabetes. If you've got any family history of diabetes you may want to get a GTT - glucose tolerance test - later on. I found it a pita but not a huge hassle to deal with.

I'm so pleased for you both after so long!!

Sorry for lack of other personals. There's a lot of stories I haven't had a chance to get to grips with. I confess to skipping a lot for which I'm sorry. Best wishes and luck to everyone here I do think about everyone who finds this thread a lot. The support I found here was a sanity saver so many times. Xx

MrsPixieMoo · 15/06/2014 09:15

Ooh Team it's lovely and encouraging for the ladies on here at that clinic. How are you?

teamdozie · 15/06/2014 10:05

I'm good thanx MrsP! Although baby is breech at the moment and it's head is digging in to my ribs!! And I have a really bad lower back! I couldn't walk this morning!

How are you? Bet you can't wait now! Xx

MrsPixieMoo · 15/06/2014 18:53

So sorry to hear that. Sounds very uncomfortable. Hopefully baby will turn before too long.

I'm well thanks and feeling excited now. Just two more weeks of work, will be glad to have a bit of a rest before she arrives.

willitbe · 28/06/2014 21:58

It has gone very quiet here, where is everyone????

MrsPixieMoo · 29/06/2014 08:58

I'm here Willit, limping through last bits of work and feeling knackered. Grin

Triplespin · 30/06/2014 08:21

I have just started my first pred cycle. Second day of the meds at 3dpo. Anyone else? I guess it's too early for side effects spotting. I was feeling sleepy by 5pm yesterday, so don't think the sleeplessness has kicked into action yet.

Anyone else out there? I am planning to test from 9dpo so in case of bad news - most likely it will be - then I can stop pred.

freelancegirl · 30/06/2014 14:28

I'm out here! Good luck with the ttc and Pred. I always find the 25mg is quite good for helping me get busy and get things done. But after about a week on it I do want to jump up and down and shout occasionally :)

How are our heavily pregnant ladies MrsP and TeamD, Duggs, Ari...who else is pregnant?

I've not been sure when to come out of the pregnancy closet as I've kinda had my fingers in my ears (Eyes? Womb...?) about this one but I am actually pregnant myself and, rather unbelievably it feels, have just had a successful 12 week scan. I've been extra scared this time being that my miscarriage in October was confirmed as chromosomal and also that I saw and heartbeat with that one and then it was gone. I have been waiting for this one to go too but so far it hasn't. Been seeing Mr S and on all the usual medications for very high NKC. Oh my god, time has dragged and is indeed still dragging. I've felt sick and tired for a good 8 weeks and it's been, well very sickening and tiring. Being pregnant with a toddler is much harder work!

I'm not quite at the optimistic stage yet (I am not sure I was ever with DS) but thought I would let you all know. I've been reducing Pred from 40mg and am now on 5mg and tomorrow will be my last day on it. Hopefully forever! Off for another intralipids imminently too.

Triplespin · 30/06/2014 17:42

My earlier message just disappeared

Omg - freelance. Amazing news!! How did u keep it under the wraps for so long! Wishing you a healthy remaining 6 months. Were you on hydroxy or just preds post ov? Did you take aspirin?

Yes I hope I get more energy soon as today as well I was half asleep by 3:30pm.

Mel3062 · 30/06/2014 17:49

Wow freelance congrats! I keep losing the thread :/ BFn for me today :(

teamdozie · 30/06/2014 17:54

Hi everyone! Still here!

Free a huge congrats! That is amazing news! So pleased for you!

MrsP how much longer do you have at work! Can't be that long now!

As for me I'm at 30 weeks now! Can't quit believe it! Still scared every day! I'm wishing time away so baby comes! Still on hydroxy and baby aspirin and clexane! In a funny wag I miss the IVIG and intralipids!

village how are you?

Free once again a huge congrats to you and DH!

Xx

teamdozie · 30/06/2014 17:55

Mel sorry about BFN! Are you testing again in a couple of days?

jassS · 30/06/2014 17:56

Congratulations, freelance! best luck for the future!

Mel3062 · 30/06/2014 18:05

I don't know what to do as ever... Don't feel pregnant though slept Saturday. Monitor says af due tomorrow, ff says I'm day 24, 13 dpo so may just stop meds. I wish af would come on it's own, should I see If it does though last time I did that it was a long cycle...
Been looking into ivf at serum own egg cycle anyone any idea how long is need to be out there for if I could get a scan here??

Triplespin · 30/06/2014 19:11

So sorry mel - ivf at serum sounds like a good idea. I have heard very good things about them. I had my infection testing done via them recently but unfortunately everything came out clear!

freelancegirl · 30/06/2014 19:46

Grr Mel it's so frustrating. How many cycles has it been this time?

30 weeks Team! Wow. How is time moving? Other people's pregnancies seem to go so quickly whereas your own drags. But I remember coming out the other side with DS and thinking actually it's quite a short time in the scheme of things. Doesn't help when you have several unsuccessful pregnancies before hand though!

I just couldn't get my head around it this time. I got a faint BFP (at about 10dpo! Unheard of for me) the night before my nan died and then there was the funeral and so many other things going on.

I've been feeling quite queasy and just exhausted. Also having a toddler means there is less time to sit and think about it and google symptoms/non symptoms (although there was a fair bit of that going on too). I just gritted my teeth and have lived through some very long weeks. I didn't even tell close friends unless I saw them and had to. I've been looking about 20 weeks pregnant since 8 weeks so it's been unavoidable sometimes. I have a rather fetching Moon Face too. Hopefully I will stay pregnant and start to slim down in the face as I move into the second trimester.
