Oh my gosh! Baking that's so exciting!! Huge congratulations. Hope it all went ok. A new Pred Thread baby! How exciting. Damn - that's another one who we'll rarely hear from again :) Do pop back and tell us how things are when you can xxx

Triplespin · 23/05/2014 17:34

This is so exciting!! Many congrats baking and glad to hear both of you are doing well :).

teamdozie · 23/05/2014 18:51

Baking a huge congratulations! Such a lovely name! Sending you and DH lots if wishes!!

Luna thank you for your kind words about my info on IVIG experience!! I do hope it's not long before you get to experience it too!

I can't believe I won't be having one this month! It's actually quite scary! But I pray and hope every day that all will carry in as well as it has been!

15 weeks to go!

Waves to everyone!!

Xx

Igggi · 24/05/2014 08:01

Congratulations Baking, lovely news Grin

Breezyweezy · 24/05/2014 11:25

Congratulations baking! And what a gorgeous, apt name too! Enjoy those lovely newborn snuggles!

VillageMum · 24/05/2014 19:26

Baking yay!!! Enjoy every precious moment with Faith. Beautiful name.

Welcome triple and tannyloo...

Luna sending you strength and hope x Re the SO 'counter': I thought for some reason that there was a limit of six SO cycles you could have before other options such as IVF would be suggested, but when I asked Mr S if this was so he said no, it's not cast in stone at all - you can carry on with SO beyond those six cycles. So don't feel the pressure of having to manage it in six and don't worry about any counters!

team very close now!

Hello to everyone else. Sorry for this very brief post, Real Life is taking over!

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages. 24 hours became 5 days stuck in hospital with no wifi as Faith had some problems with unstable blood sugars and jaundice requiring a stint in SCBU, but is doing well now. She would have been well advised to stay put another fortnight and gain a pound, but she had other ideas, arriving in just 80 minutes from first contraction to delivery to be caught by Bridget from OBEM. Home sweet home today Smile

VillageMum · 27/05/2014 17:37

baking the poor wee mite, so glad all's well now! What a super-fast delivery! Hope you get some rest back at home and that everyone is spoiling you.

Baking it sounds like Faith was more than ready to meet you. So glad that you are both doing well and are able to get to know each other better at home.

Just called Mr S's office to book in for my next SO scan to be told that he's off for 2 weeks in June at exactly the time I need the scan. Obviously he's entitled to a break, it's just my luck that it clashes with my cycle timings. To make matters worse, yesterday I was informed by my work that I need to attend a workshop in July which is a week long and out the country and is exactly when we would be ttc (my dates are always the end of the month). So it means that I had to sit May out, looks like I'll also be out June and July!!!! Sad Why is this so difficult??

Have asked if I can see someone else as I'm sure I have read on the thread that he sometimes has a colleague cover - fingers crossed.

Hope everyone has a better day xxx

VillageMum · 28/05/2014 12:15

Luna don't stress, ask Cheryl if you can see Mr Mahfouz in Harley Street for your SO scan. He will ring Louise straight away with the results and she will get in touch within minutes to give you trigger instructions. So June needn't be a write off! When is Mr S away in June by the way?

OP posts:
LunaGL · 28/05/2014 12:37

Thanks Village - I tried Louise first but she's on annual leave so spoke to a secretary (not Cheryl) and am still waiting for a response. Mr S is away from 9th June for two weeks so presumably back in work w/c 23rd June.

Mel3062 · 29/05/2014 06:50

How annoying when you lose the thread :/
Sorry to hear of your loss Luna, protocol wise it sounds like we are v similar at the mo!
Baking what wonderful news congrats to all of you, lovely name :) xx
Monitor is getting used to me I think as day 21 and another high yet ff said I'm 11 dpo!

willitbe · 29/05/2014 10:57

Bakingtins - congratulations on the arrival of Faith, and enjoy being at home with your little daughter. Flowers Grin

Tumtimes1 · 29/05/2014 19:24

Hello all - huge huge congratulations baking yay!!

tannyLoo · 31/05/2014 07:41

Well, I saw Prof Brosens yesterday in Coventry. He took my history (briefly), and thinks that just on the basis of that I could be highly suitable for treatment. Phew! Made me cry to talk to someone who knows and understands so much about it.

Results should be back in a month, and phone consultation with treatment plan after.

Of course you know all of this...

He asked me how I'd heard about their clinic and I told him about mn, which made him chuckle. Both him and my consultant here have checked out what people say about them on mn and been affected by reading how they come across. Very funny!

I would have liked to talk in more depth about my mcs, and I think that just reveals that there's still lots I need to work through. What trauma we've been through, eh?

I don't plan to ttc until I'm armed with a treatment plan, so I have another month of sitting it out. I'm about to start my own business, so no bad thing...

Ok to hang out here till then?

Mel3062 · 31/05/2014 07:49

Aw tanny of course and I'm glad or helped seeing prof brosen, great isn't it?! Hope your results come back quick x
Not sure this cb monitor works for me as day 23 and still high even though ovulated day 12 :/ I know it's first month using it.bfn yest 10dpo. don't know if to invest in a duomonitor before thinking ivf, any experiences?? X

teamdozie · 31/05/2014 10:15

Tanny that's great news that they think you are suitable for the treatment! I hope your results come through sooner for you!

It's amazing that Drs have time to read what people say on MN but I myself was approached by someone from Dr Shehatas clinic telling me that they have been told certain things that people have said in here!

Regardless as long as you get the result you want who cares what anyone says!!

Mel I used the CBFM nothing else as it got so confusing! On one occasion I had high most of the month so Dr said I probably hadn't OV that month which was nothing abnormal. I decided to go down the SO route after my last mc as I was getting stressed about monitoring etc!

Best decision I ever made as I found the whole process more relaxing as I knew exactly when.
So maybe try that first instead of IVF?

Tum how are you!

Luna hope all is well!

Hello and sorry to all that I have missed!

Xx

ChoccyPud · 31/05/2014 16:52

Congratulations Baking sounds like Faith was very keen to meet you!! Enjoy those newborn snuggles. DD is twelve weeks old today, that stage seems like so long ago looking back!

Ari any scan news yet? Hope all's well. Duggs you must be nearly 20 weeks now? So so pleased for you guys xxx

duggs1976 · 31/05/2014 18:17

Hey choccy great to hear from you and so glad u getting on ok! Yes 20 wk scan on Friday... Can't quite believe it really but am pleased with how relaxed I feel (doppler daily listening helps although DH thinks it is too often). Good luck ovulators... It just needs the one as we all know Smile

bakingtins · 01/06/2014 02:29

mel I am probably teaching granny to suck eggs here, but you do know the CBFM is not v sophisticated? It says high as soon as it detects oestrogen, then peak if it picks up LH and for 2 days afterwards. If it misses the LH surge then it just continues to say high for 20 sticks irrespective of oestrogen having dropped post ov. It might help to change your testing window, most women have LH surge at night.

duggs good luck for your scan.

Mel3062 · 01/06/2014 06:08

Thanks Team I've previously had about 9 months of super-ovulation though, still got ovitrelle and letrozole in the fridge :/
Duggs good luck for the scan exciting :)
Baking thanks for your advice, not sure if to change window as I get positive on cheapy ic opk at night but still got positives on the clearblue pink and also purple digi opks in the morning so couldn't understand why monitor didn't pick it up too, hoping as it's first month it's getting used to me!
Thought about getting a duofertility instead but may keep the money in my ivf pot instead!
Day 24 and still high and only one stick left! Not sure if to go to boots and buy more or will it stop at 20??

Triplespin · 01/06/2014 08:58

Hello pred ladies

Mel - I just use the normal digi opks. Do those not work well for you? I have a lot of faith in them and also ewcm is a good indicator for me.

I have a pred question. I will be on 25mg post ov and 40mg upon bfp under Mr S plan. If I decide not to take from ov - should I just take 25mg from bfp or go straight to 40mg. Has anyone done that?

Due to see Mr S on Monday but don't think I can dare to ask him that!!

Mel3062 · 01/06/2014 11:11

They do yes and ECM sorry can't answer your question about pred, I'm on 20 from day 7, was 40!

suemays · 01/06/2014 16:28

triple I don't take steroids from OV so go straight to 40mg from a bfp. Mr s was happy for me to do this as I am on hydroxychloroquine too.

Triplespin · 01/06/2014 21:19

Mel - are you on 20mg from cd7 or 7dpo?

Sue - thanks. Are you on hydroxy also from bfp or post ov?
