sunnyday01 · 19/11/2014 06:21

Feast was nagar I've this morning - not really sure how I feel today - I'm more fed up then upset I think and wondering if this is all worth it. On a more positive note I think I'm rejoining weight wTchers tonight to shift some of this 3 stone I need to get rid of.

sunnyday01 · 19/11/2014 06:21

That should have said test is negative

Tryingno1 · 19/11/2014 07:31

Sunnyday-I'm sorry. I know exactly how u feel: I feel the same...it's so upsetting. But we have been preg before so we will get preg again! It just might take longer than we hoped...what month of SO are u on? Well done on joining ww I've done it before and it really helps! I need to shift some more weight too will start next week once af over so I can enjoy some wine and choc to make myself feel better....

Mel-also sorry :(. Ouch for the water infection. The antibiotics should help soon! I don't know much about egg reserve etc. let hope you bfp is around the corner...

My af due tmrw....stupid.

sunnyday01 · 19/11/2014 08:04

Thanks, I only let myself have one downer day each month which is generally test day and then I pick myself up and plod on with it! I'm feeling a bit better now I've had a good cry! This was month 3 of SO - so 3 more goes. I wasn't sure what my result would be this month as only had one egg rather than the normal 2 but I haven't had much cramping or bloating over last couple of days like I have done the last couple of months so wondered if that meant something different but obviously not!

I did ww a few years ago and lost 3 stone so hopefully I will be as successful this time - will be nice to have something else to focus on!

Sorry to hear about your water infection Mel - hope it clears up quickly for you!

Hi all,

Have a bit of a cautious update. After being absolutely convinced I was out this month I did a hpt yesterday morning (day 10) and a very faint positive line came up. I didn't post yesterday as it was so faint that I thought I might have imagined it but I tested again this morning and it is much stronger. Very aware how early it is but I wanted to share with you guys. I spoke to Dr Shehata yesterday and he says if the line is still there tomorrow then we can make an appointment for 6-7 weeks times. I am massively paranoid and I'm not going to mention it to anyone apart from you guys but so hoping it might work out. I'm going to divide the time up in my head so first step is to get to day 14, then if that happens I would like to get to six weeks as both of my last miscarriages were at that point. Not thinking beyond that point. Anyway, I hope it makes you all feel more hopeful. I was pretty low before I got the BFP and I just feel really scared now, but I'm going to try to stay strong.
Lots of hugs to you all, xxxxx
P.S. Feeling a bit nervous as I didn't take the prednisolone or aspirin this month. I started taking it yesterday when I got the faint line though, as well as the progesterone.

Tryingno1 · 19/11/2014 13:46

Hope! That's wonderful news! Am
So happy for u! I know it's scary the anxiety is so much when u see that postive. But your over hurdle one of a bfp at least. We can try keep you sane on here! Interesting u were off both of them-I'm going to do that next month too...have my fingers crossed for u. Keep us posted

Sunny-good attitude! For some reason someone said that SO is sometimes sucess full on cycle 4/5 lets hope urs is too. Hope has started us off with some good news!

I'm also feeling more postive. I figure it's just a matter of time and I need to be patient. It will happen in the next few months ( I hope!)

sunnyday01 · 19/11/2014 13:47

Wow Hopender that is fantastic news, although i totally understand why you are nervous and cautious, I would be too!

Do you need to have intralipids or anything?

Tryingno1 · 19/11/2014 14:01

Hope how many months did u try for? Only ask I know u were putting of SO which is what I'm also trying to do!
Also-thats 4 of us alllllll in sync! How bizzare!

Hopender · 19/11/2014 14:05

Thanks you guys! We'll just have to wait and see. It helps so much knowing you are all here. I know it will happen for everyone soon. I guess when it does happen it is just a case of waiting to see if the treatment works.
I decided not to take the aspirin because I have always been a bit worried about taking it before a BFP, and I just needed a break from the prednisolone! I am taking both now and then if I get to six/seven weeks then I have an intralippid (can't remember how to spell it?!) infusion. I haven't been diagnosed with NK cells but instead have high-gliadin antibodies which could be causing an auto-immune response. Dr S has told me to cut out gluten too which I've done. I have slightly sore boobs and a few mild cramps but no symptoms apart from that. I know they say you don't have symptoms on prednisolone but I was wondering which symptoms that covered. Not sure if my boobs should still hurt, or is it just the sickness it stops. I just want time to pass!

Hopender · 19/11/2014 14:16

Forgot to say trying, this was my third cycle after seeing Dr S although I was trying for two months unsuccessfully before that. I was going to try three more cycles before starting SO. How long have you been trying? I should also say that I'm 38.

Tryingno1 · 19/11/2014 15:34

Hi hope. It's month4 for me. Going to keep going till at least 8 before SO...took me 5 months last time and 2 months the first 2 preg...
Try keep positive. Are u under a local Rmc clinic so u have fortnightly scans? Try not to analyse ur symptoms ur still so early. :)

Hopender · 19/11/2014 16:19

That sounds sensible trying. I bet it happens for you next month! The RMC clinic haven't been very good near me. But I will get back in touch with them to see about scans. The early pregnancy unit are good but they will only scan me once before 12 weeks. I didn't sleep a wink last night for worrying but going to try and relax tonight!

Tryingno1 · 19/11/2014 16:26

Hopefully they will give u reg scans. Demand them from epau if they will and only obviously if it will make you feel better!
Oh bless u, def try sleep tonight. U need lots of rest.

joycep · 19/11/2014 21:24

Hi ladies, sorry to barge in on here but I wondered whether anyone knew the answer to a question. If you are pregnant and are on Prednisolone - should you have the flu vaccine? Or should you wait until you have come off the Pred before having it?

Don't worry if you don't know but just thought this was the best place to ask. Thanks!

freelancegirl · 19/11/2014 21:43

Hello joycep, that's an interesting question. I don't know to be honest! I imagine it's safe to have when you're on Pred. I had finished being on Pred by the time I had my vaccine. I know Pred is meant to be an immune suppressant but anecdotally and in my experience I don't think it seems to really cause people to have a lot of colds etc. Are you taking it for miscarriage prevention or for separate reasons?

dildoos · 19/11/2014 21:50

Hi I don't know if helps but I asked dr shehata if by suppressing immune system I would be more susceptible to illness he sAid no. As for the injection am not sure if should have or not xx

joycep · 19/11/2014 22:11

Thanks very much freelance. I'm on pred for miscarriage prevention. I'm 12wks now and have been weaning off the pred for several weeks. One more week to go on it. I must say I haven't had any colds whilst on it. I know you certainly don't want flu when pregnant but don't want to put myself at risk by having the jab either. It's tricky. 4.5yrs of ttc1, 3rd ivf, 3rd pregnancy and so this feels very precious!

joycep · 19/11/2014 22:12

and thanks dildoos. that's good to hear, that sort of suggests the jab should be ok.

freelancegirl · 20/11/2014 01:01

Congratulations! Have you had your 12 week scan yet?

I think you should be fine having the jab but I guess you could always wait a couple of weeks until you're fully off the Pred?

Tryingno1 · 20/11/2014 08:05

Joycep I think it's ok to take. But u could ask ur Gp? They will be used to being asked that all the time for people on pred for other reasons
Congrats on ur good news too ;)

joycep · 20/11/2014 09:54

Thanks freelance and trying. Freelance - yes had the 12 week scan this week and all looked ok. Phew! But what should be a simple decision like a flu jab which I have been strongly advised to have sends me into a tizzy!

Tryingno1 · 20/11/2014 11:33

Girls have any of had your DH sperm tested along the way?

I figure getting preg 3 times in 1.5 years suggests normal sperm parameters are ok...but could I be wrong? He did have one undescended testicle corrected when a teenager....
I know some have had dna fragmentation but I'm just talking about normal first line sperm analysis...
