freelancegirl · 29/10/2014 12:13

Oh my god! Duggs!!!! You have a baby!!! Awww. Having a few tears for you here thinking about your journey to get here. Cant wait to hear more about it!! if you have the time to come back on here between sleepless nights and bleeding nipples So happy for you xxxx

PS Lovely, lovely name! Hope the CS went ok. Shame you had to go through the long labour to get there!!

Breezyweezy · 29/10/2014 12:28

Woohooo Duggs! Been looking forward to hearing your news. Congratulations on the birth of baby Ethan!!! Can't wait to meet him! Back to back is horrid isn't it? Hope c-section recovery goes well and enjoy your snuggles!

Hopender · 29/10/2014 12:33

Yay! Huge congratulations Duggs. So happy for you! What amazing news. Sitting at my desk eating lunch (gross kale and white bean fertility soup) with a happy smile on my face! My co-workers probably think I've lost the plot! So great to hear news like this though!
Thanks so much for the other lovely messages too. Was feeling a bit down in the dumps but much better now. I have decided to bankrupt myself by going for accupuncture three times this month. I always get pregnant the months I do that so fingers crossed this will be all of our months! Bit unsure whether to do the herbs with the pred. Do you take herbs too Trying? I am also trying to lose weight. I could do with losing at least a stone...
Sunny slightly worried to hear that Dr S is away! I was meant to be seeing him tomorrow and they never told me. I have changed my appointment for another's month's time though as I want to give myself a bit longer before I start super ovulation. The six month timeline sounds sensible so might do that too. Going to ask Dr S about the cramps too.
Welcome Lapetiterouquine and welcome back Dildoos!

freelancegirl · 29/10/2014 13:24

Love the sound of the fertility soup. Pret would make a fortune if they stocked that sort of thing :)

Hopender · 29/10/2014 13:42

Ha, they totally should! It is amazing the lengths we will go too... Having said that I still managed to knock back a full caffeine cappuccino earlier on...

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2014 15:21

Massive huge congrats duggs!!!! So happy! Hope ur recovering well after the longggggg delivery and glad baby is safe and healthy. Yay!

I thought I had acu today- but it's next week doh! Go for ur extra sessions hope and fingers crossed it does its thing!

What's in ur fertility soup?! I want some!

I'm getting inpatient today. I want to be preg NOW!!

Congrats again duggs!

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2014 16:15

Sorry hope didn't say. No I don't do the herbs. My acu doesn't do them. If u do them just careful they don't interact with other meds your on coz I think they can be quite strong!

Rosa27 · 29/10/2014 20:01

Congratulations Duggs... Amazing news!! Hope you recover quickly but am sure all your attention is on your wee miracle. Know that sounds cheesy but that's how I imagine it would feel...

Hopender I think we have very similar plans and backgrounds.. I'm giving it to Christmas too. Any news from Mr S?

Hi everyone else..

Iggi999 · 29/10/2014 21:15

Duggs that is fantastic news Grin Enjoy your baby Thanks
I am not even letting myself think about what what 72 hours of labour would be like Shock

Hopender · 29/10/2014 22:48

I might give the herbs a miss trying. My acupuncturist will probably say the same thing thinking about it. For some reason I have always found her a really easy person to speak too. I started going to her after the third miscarriage and she really helped me when I was pregnant with my son and was pretty much freaking out every day!
Rosa, yes, sounds like we are in a very similar situation. We are the same age and you live in Edinburgh too don't you? My DH would like us to give it to Christmas at least before we try super ovulation, but not sure I will be able to hold of longer than that. Are you thinking of changing something after Christmas? It would be so wonderful if someone or, even better, everyone has good news by then!

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2014 23:02

Mine is lovely too I find talking to her more helpful than actually the acupuntcure!
Had a massive melt down just now. Cried sobbed and couldn't stop. Ugh. Poor DH....Meant to be a postive Month...I started freaking out about what if I won't ever have a child and what that will mean for the life I hoped I would have....i think i might have to run away and emigrate...i have a lovely family home we bought when we started ttc....good schools...lots of bedrooms ..how naive of us

:(...Hopefully I'll feel better in the am
Sorry for the me me post
x

dildoos · 29/10/2014 23:08

Congratulations duggs, what a beautiful name Smile
Thank you for the welcomes again also.
I have never tried acupuncture , is it relaxing? I loved having reflexology for relaxation (and fertility boasting but didn't work for me) however was so relaxing thinking having some more sessions. I assume no complimentary therapies interfere with dr a treatment?
The super ovulation, is this something that is suggested for everyone under dr s? Sorry for my questions but felt rotten when we went and didn't ask any questions as was desperate to leave and get fresh air and also hurried as needed to catch lab before their collection at 1pm. X

dildoos · 29/10/2014 23:17

Sunny was thinking Epsom clinic may be easier to get too, do you know if thy do Saturday appointments?
X

freelancegirl · 30/10/2014 01:01

Yes they do Saturday appointment at Epsom as I recall. Super ovulation is only given to those having difficulties conceiving as well as miscarriages.

Hopender · 30/10/2014 05:03

Have a big hug trying. I really think it will happen for you, and for the vast majority of us too if we keep going. My best friend used to tell me that I had to see it like I was going in to battle and that really helped me for some reason. I just see it as a big fight that (most of the time) I am determined to win. I know what you mean about the life you dreamed about and the house etc though. We moved to the country and planned to have three or four children when we first started trying. I feel so lucky to have my son but I notice the empty bedrooms so much. At the moment age feels like the biggest challenge I face as it has definitely started to take me longer to conceive. I haven't given up on the dream though. I'm going to keep trying for the dream until I have no eggs left!
The acupuncture is so great! I have no idea if it makes a difference but it helps so much to talk about everything in that kind of environment. When the doctors kept telling me to go away and try again my acupuncturist was the one that raised the idea of testing for NK cells, as well as the nurses in the early pregnancy unit. I am so grateful to her for that.
Anyway, tomorrow is another day do hopefully you will feel better and ready to carry on your fight. It will be more than worth it when it happens. Then it will be the sleepless nights that knock you for six!

sunnyday01 · 30/10/2014 09:26

Congratualtions duggs

Dildoos - i remember having to rush to get to the clinic before 1pm!! I'm not sure about the Saturday appts at Epsom as I have never enquired. But with super ovulation you don't get to pick the day you go as you have to be scanned between days 9-11 - due to my cycle length it tends to be a Weds/Thurs that I have my scan. I think a lot of people tend to have their follicle scan done locally and then have the results sent to Dr s for interpretation and instructions for injection etc as it can be a long way for 15 minutes or so! I'm no medical expert so I am not sure if super ovulation is for everyone, or what circumstances he will advise to have it. I hadn't had a pregnancy in a year and my tests came back ok but i said i would like to try and speed things up so he advised to try super ovulation. As others have said above, it doesn't gurantee it will speed it up, but for me i like knowing how many eggs I have and when i ovulate.

hopender he is on hols from next weekk so would have been there for your appointment this week - if he is not going to be there they will tell you

Arianrhod · 30/10/2014 10:42

Fantastic duggs .. sorry about the labour but fab that he's here at long last! How are you feeling?

Arianrhod · 30/10/2014 10:45

free I had no difficulty conceiving yet I still did Superov. Just saying :)

freelancegirl · 30/10/2014 11:11

Ah, I didn't know that. I guess it is good to have a helping hand in these things. It took me 5 months to conceive this current pregnancy and, having always got pregnant straight away with my DS and previous miscarriages, it felt like ages! Even though the rational side of me knows it can take up to a year for people with no problems. Not long for you to go now Ari and the twins will be here!

Looking forward to hearing more from Duggs! I guess she might be busy
thinking 'wtf do I DO with a baby' Grin

I noticed a guest appearance from Cheerfulcharlie back there. How's it going?!

Tryingno1 · 30/10/2014 12:35

Thanks for ur kind words hopender. You are correct! Another day today and trying to be more postive just got to keep plodding along!
I've found that after my last d and c and also this one it's taken me longer to get preg. My first two only took 1/2 months...so I'm thinking the d and c and fact I was further along is why it's taking longer...took me 5 last time..I'm just entering no 4....lets hope it's soon Confused

We have great news from the graduates hopefully us newbees will have a bfp soon! It's about time.

Mel3062 · 30/10/2014 15:54

dildoos · 30/10/2014 21:05

Sunny, free and ari- thank you for info on clinic and super ovulation. I usually get pregnant every 6 months or so , as much as it feels a life long time I am guessing it isnt. To be fair at the moment I am just hoping I have something he tested for so I can get treated as feel in limbo at the moment, I bet you all know that feeling.
Try- hoping your feeling better Thanks
