Hello! Had scan today and we're on for egg collection Tuesday-eek! Very exciting!! She said lining was very good ( get me!!) and could see 15 follicles, so the estradiol level must have been high for this to go ahead.
Fantastic lady! Perhaps you can give me some pointers. All they've said to me about egg collection is not to wear nail varnish, and no eating on the morning and I can drink water til 8.15. I don't know whether I'm to bring a dressing gown, slippers. I expect it's no makeup but not sure about the rules on deodorant, moisturiser etc, meant to be good to avoid perfumed products. Can you tell me what you did? Also is it like a mini op so you're gowned up etc? How are you feeling? The notes made me laugh as they said no driving and no cooking for 48 hours. Now there's a cast iron excuse to get out of kitchen duties!!
barking so exciting to hear from someone on the other side of the world! sounds like you've had a great time, wishing you a safe flight home, seems to have gone really quickly.
tiger unfortunately I think it can be some medical staff receptionionists who can be a right pain.I think the power goes to their heads and they become real jobsworths.
Had some real classics at work today that I thought I'd share with you berries: up duff colleague on telling other colleague reiterates the non planned part and how she'd have liked the gap to have been longer between children. She then tells everyone her friend is pg too, apparently she went away for a weekend to try!! Someone else said crikey I'd have needed to go for months of weekends and said that she had miscarriages etc and hers were very much wanted. Later in the day got asked my new colleague do I want children, tried to side step it as best I could.... Er yes, in fact I'm currently undergoing Ivf and if you lot think 4 mths is a long time to wait to get pg you should try 2+ fricking years- put that in your pipe and smoke it..was what I wanted to say but didn't!!
Feeling really tired now so better go tidy up etc.
