Morning all. Hello Barking. Sorry to hear you've had rubbish weather but bet you're having an amazing time nonetheless. Do you still get to do your skydive?
Bushy well done on telling your head, a bet that's a huge relief. Glad he was lovely about it too. You're right that I did get totally obsessed with TTC. I only took the break so as to avoid potentially giving birth during my wedding but it was totally the right thing to do as I've been far more relaxed about it since starting back - but that could be partly down to the fact that I now know that we have some issues so I've kind of given up hope of a natural BFP!
With regards to FB, we have a totally private Berry group on there that no-one apart from invited members can access. We started it as we felt some of the things that we wanted to say on here could potentially out us. You don't have to be 'friends' with others in the group if you don't want to but many of us are. So yes I know Boodle, Barking, Lady, Bunny and all the others berries who've moved on to the chopper - we even had a RL meet up before Xmas which was lovely! So if anyone would like to join the FB group just send us a pm on here and we'll add you. Barking I didn't realise you'd left the group? Tbh there's very little traffic on there at the moment as I think the chopper berries have now set up their own FB group. It would be nice to have some fresh blood as it'd be a shame if the group folded all together.
Right that's enough waffling from me, lots to do today. Have a good one all!

I'm in!

CD30 today, I haven't spotted so far which is very rare, but have very typical PMS symptoms. My last two cycles were 35 days long so I won't POAS until the weekend, if it gets to that (it won't).

ladybunnikins · 23/04/2014 09:59

The extra cooking was worth it, at last scan the biggest follicle was 15mm, now the biggest is 22mm and I have 15 over 15mm. Egg collection happening on Friday. Smile

happylass · 23/04/2014 10:03

Woohoo Lady that's great news. Fx for Friday!

beakybeak · 23/04/2014 10:28

Wow Lady that sounds like great progress for your lovely Easter eggs!

I wouldn't mind joining fb group Happy some extra privacy would be great! I'm not sure how to pm on here though?

winohhh · 23/04/2014 11:35

Great news lady!! Fingers crossed for lots of lovely Easter eggs on Friday!!

BoodleDoo · 23/04/2014 12:05

Great news, Lady; good luck for Friday.

Beaky - there's an envelope icon somewhere near the top of the page that you can click on for private messaging. If happy hasn't already done so, I can send you a private message first and then hopefully you'll spot it as the envelope will change colour/get a little number on it to show how many messages are waiting.

Barking - you need to come back to the fb group; it's really quiet on there as I think all the pg Berries are understandably gravitating away to other sources of information. I don't want the fb group to die a death as I already out myself enough on here as it is. I prefer to use the fb group to go into more specific detail.

Bushy - I'm glad your HT was understanding and supportive; takes away a little bit of extra stress that you just don't need.

On the sharps question - I only used the sharps bin for the actual syringes and needles that I had used. Anything that was unused I was asked to return to the hospital as they can use them for training. I threw the empty vials (which I had rather than pens) into my normal bin.

As for fb...I have just hidden instadiffing friends so i don't get their posts and photos! Doesn't stop myself being floored by the initial pg announcement, but I'd rather read it there than be confronted by it face to face. Sadly, I am now at the point where some people who I hid at the beginning of my TTC journey are now onto their second and I didn't realise because they were still hidden. A gaping hole in my otherwise brilliant plan!

Now, random thought for the day: Does anyone else get seriously irked by the 'baby and toddler' events that are advertised by the likes of Tesco, Asda et al? It's not a bloody event, it's just special offers on baby-related products. Why can't they have a 'barren and unfruitful uteri' event with 75% off all alcoholic beverages and free samples of mould-ripened cheese and pate?

"Dear Tesco HQ..."

happylass · 23/04/2014 12:25

Genius idea Boodle! Lets all getting writing to Tesco!
Beaky I'll pm you now. I agree with Boodle that we need some new recruits in our FB group before it dies a death.

OP posts:
ladybunnikins · 23/04/2014 13:33

Yes, I missed someone's stillbirth due to FB blocking but apart from that I've been in blissful ignorance of instadiffers and their super quick labours.
Agree about the baby and toddler events but not a fan of smelly cheese and pâté!

BoodleDoo · 23/04/2014 13:40

How about we also petition for vouchers to places that aren't totally child-oriented? I got one from Tesco this week for CBeebie world or something like that. Meh.

FeatherFeather11 · 23/04/2014 17:13

Well, It's all going on in here! Need to catch up on the thread as been away. Glad the revolution is gathering pace. Af arrived with a thud yesterday. Cd 2 now and feeling ok with it. At least my dress will fit. Will post properly soon.

beakybeak · 23/04/2014 17:34

Woohoo thanks Happy & Boodle

I agree about tesco etc doing non baby related events! I'm not a fan of too smelly cheese either but wine and rare steak etc would be great! They could do wine tasting events for us!

Hope you enjoyed your break Feather how's everyone else?

Anyone heard from RP and how TB is coming along?

Still no AF here, am boring myself with this carry on now Grin

ladybunnikins · 23/04/2014 18:34

And while we're petitioning supermarkets, Sainsbury's can stop asking me if I collect active kids vouchers.

tigerdog · 23/04/2014 20:29

sigh. I am feeling more like eeyore than tigger today. Not sure why I am feeling gloomy, I think a combination of OH being away and my friends and family being a bit crap. Somebody wang me please!

beaky did you have a hsg this cycle or any other investigations? My hsg pushed my cycle out from the usual 28 days to 33. My acupuncturist also reckoned that cycles tend to even out, so a short one tends to be followed by a longer one or vice versa. This also appeared to be true for me. It is a constant head fuck isn't it.

boodle I get irked by the constant stream of recommendations via facebook for baby related products. Rub it in why don't you, facebook. Grrrr.

Great news on the eggs lady!

anyway, I really shouldn't be in the doldrums, only one more day at work to get through and then a whole 11 days away from the office and fingers crossed some sunshine! Grin

ladybunnikins · 23/04/2014 21:40

Is that just UK sunshine or are you going away? When is your interview? Just get through tomorrow then and enjoy your time off!
Just done my trigger shot, needle-free day tomorrow!

beakybeak · 23/04/2014 21:49

Thanks Tiger that's interesting. I had about an 8 day LP last month after the HSG in early march, and this cycle so far is 30 days long. I've never had a cycle this long in the whole of ttc. I'm usually always on time with cramps and "proper flow" too. Grim! That's not long til your holiday now! I'm quite jealous! Do you think you will manage gluten free all holiday?

beakybeak · 23/04/2014 21:52

Exciting Lady! Fx for your EC Smile.

beakybeak · 23/04/2014 21:52

Oo a Dragon

ladybunnikins · 23/04/2014 22:01

Ooh Dragon I forgot it was St George's day today!

tigerdog · 23/04/2014 22:19

Dragon ace!

Off to fuerteventura lady for some pure relaxation. Not sure when the interview will be - I sent my availability over to them yesterday so hoping the holiday isn't a problem. Getting paranoid that they won't wait!

beaky that sounds a lot like what happened with me - a weirdly short cycle followed by a long one and I'm usually always a very regular 28 days. I will aim to continue with the gluten free. Hopefully it won't be too difficult. Lots of salads and fish and fresh fruit and of course wine is gluten free

Have been much cheered by some chocolate and the sight of my usually elegant pooch indulging in a spot of what is known as 'roaching' by those who have greyhounds. (Hb does yours do this?!) Basically sleeping on her back, legs akimbo! It means she is truly relaxed!

Gillster · 23/04/2014 22:23

Yay to lovely maturing eggs and no needles tomorrow Lady.

All this talk of needles has reminded me to take my sharps bin to the FC tomorrow.

Also tired of targeted baby adverts and also condom adverts on FB.

Have a good holiday Tiger.

Hey Boodle! Glad you're back Smile

greatbigbushybeard · 23/04/2014 23:23

boodle ha ha! Don't think too many people would fess up to the 'barren and fruitful uteri' club!! Yes, those baby events make me cringe!! In fact, all of it does, it's like I want to switch off all of it and be like that song: 'I'm covering my ears like a kid'!

Yes I was really glad head was so nice about it. It does really feel like a transition time at the moment, a lot of anticipation coupled with a feeling of a long wait. Dh and I are pulling together and it sounds awful to say it but I had a feeling earlier, when we'd done all our jobs ,that it was nice just being us- seems really at odds with the baby thing. Anyone else get that?

happy fb group sounds interesting but as a non face booker I have no idea how it works! Also I think it's best for me to stay off fb, more hassle than worth. I stay off it cus of all the baby type stuff and cus I don't really want to broadcast my whole life and have nosy people seeing it all. So it's kinda ironic that the berry fb group is full of baby stuff too- think I'll give it a miss!

because and beaky hmm you two, maybe good vibes a coming!!

lady my goodness, how exciting!! I can't believe it's all happening this Friday. Great that you have w/e too. Come on eggs!!! I have my scan tomorrow so next week maybe when it all happens for us.

tiger no need for wanging, we all get a bit down, take it easy on yourself and look forward to your hol, sounds great! Re the 'roach ing' have you seen goggle box, the vicar's greyhound is always doing that, you just see her legs sticking up in the shot, so funny! Greyhounds always seem really relaxed, maybe we should all think more greyhound!!

BoodleDoo · 24/04/2014 00:31

I've never heard of 'roaching' before, but one of my cats does that too.

My facebook adverts used to be a bit 'babified' but have more recently been about holidays and hotels...you can see that my google searching has had somewhat of a shift since the failed IVF. I'm getting to the point where I feel like if round 2 fails, that's it. Chuck the towel in and spend all our savings on expensive luxuries. Of course, I need to actually get to round 2 first. AF is playing silly buggers this month, which I understand is quite normal post-IVF but irritating nonetheless as it also happens to be the first cycle in well over 2 years that I haven't monitored with temping.

I'm trying to convince myself that it may be the whole wheat-free thing having a positive impact on my luteal phase but I know in my hear that that's crap and that it's just my body reeling from popping out double figure eggs in March.

Lady... I'll take your Active Kid vouchers! Grin

Gillster · 24/04/2014 06:38

A wonky cycle post IVF is entirely normal Boodle. I had spotting from CD12 to CD20 (v. Unusual for me) and AF turned up around CD40. Although I didn't do any OPKs I have a feeling that I didn't even ovulate as previously to IVF I always got a pain in my ovaries but no sign that cycle (and no sign this cycle either so far...)

Currently on CD19. Again I haven't bothered with OPKs (I've never temped) so not sure what will happen. Definitely had less spotting though Smile

Trying to DTD every 2 days at the moment and will try and keep this up for another week. Pretty tiring though and think chances are slim but feel like I need to have a concerted effort this month. Also up until now have had v. little sex since the end of Jan due to the IVF so good to get back into the swing even if it is a little exhausting.

Have FC appointment later to discuss frozen IVF cycles.

ladybunnikins · 24/04/2014 07:19

Boodle I ovulated on day 42 after the IVF (usually 20-22 for me).
Bushy the FB group isn't really full of baby stuff, there was just a flurry of berry baby announcements, a cluster-diff leads to cluster-births! I think BlindKitty might be next?
Gill good luck with the appt, I'm intrigued as to how many they defrost at once!
