Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

parsley that's exactly what we did last year, as far flung, indulgent and totally un child friendly ( couples resort!) as we could, had loads of dtd but no baby but a bl**dy great time and fantastic memories. It was the sort of place we would never have gone to unless we had had our ttc problems, if you know what I mean!!

Gillster, 40, TTC since Mar 12, half completed round of IVF, have 6 one cell embies in the freezer waiting patiently for a comfy, non-polypy home. Have FC frozen cycle app on 23 April and polyp removal op on 25 June. Hoping embies will defrost and divide OK before transfer in July/Aug(?)

First non clomid cycle in ages and looks like I Ov'd on cd17. Pre mc it was always cd19 or cd22 so maybe all the needles/Chinese medicine/vitamins/non wheat is helping?! Now to count the LP and see if I get to more than 5 days before spotting...
No bfp this cycle, going skydiving instead .

My head!!! Quick drink at the new local wine bar after work with MrP turned into 2 bottles of (very naice) wine, a cheese board and a platter of exotic foreign meats. I have to be up and ready to go shopping with my best friend in 2 hours!!

bushy that is exactly what we're after (although obviously a holiday baby would be a bonus). We're currently thinking Mauritius but also tempted by the Maldives. We are very much 'active' holiday people, never done the all inclusive lounging about sort of holiday before but I am oddly thrilled by the idea of it!
Is it wrong of me to want to ensure we book it during 'the window'?

parsley we went to Mauritius on our honeymoon!lovely place! but outside of our board drinks etc were very expensive. Until then we'd always done city type breaks and I thought I'll never manage just lounging round on as sunbed by the pool for 2 weeks, turns out it's pretty easy when the surroundings are so beautiful. Perhaps book somewhere that has lots of activities included so if you want to be active the answer is there.

Our futtc holiday was to the Caribbean and I can't recommend it enough to other people. Absolutely beautiful,totally chilled out ( much more laid back than Mauritius, which was gorgeous but more formal) and our hotel had activities on throughout the day if you wanted to take part but equally if you wanted to do nothing you could too. Also some nice trips out, including zip lining through the rainforest! Also know what you mean about having it within your window, ours was but didn't work out and I was so relaxed I was almost horizontal and there was a lot of dtd!!!

Ha ha to all the hangovers that was me and dh last week!! My dh had 2 in a row. I thought it was rather ironing we got so trashed the first w/e of Ivf sniffing but you know what I think life is for living, so go on that holiday, have that glass... Bottle of wine- when we're pged up we won't be able to!!

bushy that also sounds fab. Plan is to hit up a couple of travel agents tomorrow with our budget and see what the best options are, we may get end up potholing in Timbuktu!
I think it was feather or because who said last thread about life getting small when ttc and it's really stuck with me. I want to give us the best shot (hence catching rainbows plan and demanding new FC referral) but I am also fed up of missing out on stuff.
We're (relatively) young, have good jobs and no commitments. We should be enjoying what is essentially the prime of our life instead of avoiding anything remotely pg unfriendly. Footloose and fancy free is not how I would describe the last 2 years but maybe I can make our lives that way for a bit now.

Bunny good to see you! Fx along with booking holidays I can book a seat on the 'copter very soon! (I went in a helicopter once when I was quite young - made me feel really sick!)

bushy where in the caribean did you go? We were thinking of going this year but then decided to have a few breaks rather than one big one. Will definitely consider it for later in the year if I don't get pg before then.

Well, the sun is shining and I'm on my way back home for friends and family catch up and a night out in that London. I do miss it! Also looking forward to a snuggle with my best mates baby and giving her the patchwork quilt I have made. Quite proud of it.
