So there will be just under 2 years gap? My DS is 2 and will be just under 2 and a half when my second baby comes in June. I'm scared too, but about the giving birth again. How was your experience first time? Will you stay on the tablets?

BetterNotBitter · 26/03/2014 08:21

lovesmycake · 26/03/2014 13:59

Yay to a good appt kt how lovely to hear the heartbeat, and good luck for your appt hungry

Congratualtions Odaat

Quiet week for us but throwing a party at the weekend so just the calm before the storm :)

HungryHorace · 26/03/2014 17:09

Congrats, Odaat. :-)

Scan was perfect, heard the heartbeat too, which was lovely.

Consultant said an ELCS is the best option. Still have to go to VBAC clinic though, then a follow up with the consultant at 32 weeks. Then it'll hopefully be signed off and a date given.

Better, have you developed a stutter?! ;-p

HungryHorace · 26/03/2014 17:10

Ooh, and great appt for you, Kt. :-)

BetterNotBitter · 26/03/2014 18:08

Hurrah hungry and kt good news all round.

When's your scan kt?

What's the vbac thing for hungry? And you didn't find out what you were having? What did they say about your placenta? Re movement, mine is really sporadic, some nights I feel loads all night and even think the placenta might have moved then nothing all the next day and a few kicks the next night but not much. It's just so different do no1 when I felt her all day everyday from 18weeks. It's really unsettling cos you wonder how long is too long without any movement with the anterior placenta taken into consideration. I just hope it bloody moves soon.

How are you today mrs?

gingerbread when will your next ovulation be?

Is tomorrow your last day morerum? Sounds like your dh is doing well with the business, fingers crossed the redundancy will be a major
Blessing in disguise.

How is everyone else?

We're having a stressful week. Dh really hurt his leg on Monday (self/sport inflicted) and is being referred to a specialist next week. In the meantime he can barely walk (only from sofa to downstairs bathroom with the use of crutches) can't drive or do anything else other than sit on the sofa. Meaning he can do nothing at all with dd, he's at home cos he's signed off work, so I have all my usual stuff to do inc dd 7-6 but with no break when he gets in and no help with anything, plus looking after him, getting him drinks n food, tidying up after him etc etc. and no help if dd is up through the night (she's been having a bad sleeping patch as is dropping her nap so she's abit all over the place) and she's also decided yesterday that she's going to stop wearing nappies and go to the toilet instead, so were now potty training too. I'm knackered!!

morerummorefun · 26/03/2014 19:00

awh better you'll go straight to heaven lol!
dd decided to stpm wearing nappies and thats how we potty trained still have the odd accident but she dobe really wrll as it was all on her terms! fx your dd is the same xx

Odaat · 26/03/2014 19:02

Hi everyone!
Yeah mrs- 2 under 2 gulp!
I am waiting to retest in a week though, as midwife suggested i do so as still getting conflicting results ... Very odd.

Odaat · 26/03/2014 19:02

Thanks for the congrats! Here's hoping :)

HungryHorace · 26/03/2014 19:06

I think it must just be procedure to make sure you know your options regarding the birth. Even though they think an ELCS is the best idea. Must be something where they have to tick the bloody box for stats!

Placenta is anterior but not low, so no worries really on that front.

And I'm the same with movement, except I felt DD from 11+ weeks every day. This is just weird. My MW friend said that even with a posterior placenta they don't expect you to notice a pattern until 25 ish weeks, so that's vaguely reassuring.

Sounds stressful re your DH. I hope you have someone who can give you a break somewhere? Poor you. :-(

Morerum, enjoy your last day tomorrow. :-)

Toothpastekissesno2 · 26/03/2014 19:48

Engels I'm sorry af got u. It's wine time and positive thoughts for next time. A Christmas baby?
Odaat welcome - sounds like our shortest success story?!
Hungry great re the appt.
glad some of u missing the intimacy. When I say missing it more aware it's not happening than really wanting it. I've had so many colds and bugs this last few months and that along with exhaustion...well not happening! It's on the to do list.
Can't wait to finish work. June 12 seems along way away still but I guess just about 10 weeks...or maybe 11.

mrsm22 · 26/03/2014 20:21

Hi ladies,
Hungry - congratulations on your scan and getting your c section as you wanted . Did you choose no to find out the sex? If so, you are very good. I'm far too impatient and just had to know !
Morerum - good luck tomo for your lady day at work , any news yet from the job centre for your DH's new business idea? What is it he's setting up?
Hi Kt - Great news about your midwife app. Was she nice and will you have the same one all through ?
Hi Better - I'm good thanks, feeling tired today. Sorry about your DH, you sound as though you have your work cut out looking after both your DD and DH. How long is DH signed off work for? We haven't started the potty training yet as I don't think my DS is ready for that yet.
Hi Toothpaste - how are you! How is your DS and the eating going? I think we are going backwards. For breakfast my DS won't have anything except maybe two bites of toast, at lunch time he pretty much refused everything and we end up having to give in and let him have a bottle of formula. Tonight for tea made him spag Bol and he would only eat the pasta without the bolognese. Then had half a banana. I wish I knew how to get him eating better. He's so behind with if, such a funny little eater. He really doesn't eat enough.

BetterNotBitter · 26/03/2014 22:35

Yeah fingers crossed morerum!!

Mines the same hungry anterior but not low. That's good what your friend said re 25 weeks. I have a midwife appt on Friday and I'm going to ask her about it then, not holding out much hope for any sensible answers though given her previous form!! Dd could potentially go to my mums for the night on Saturday, although I had wanted to keep her at home with it being mothers day so will just see how we go.

He's off until next weds at least mrs after that we'll have to see what the specialist says. They said yesterday it looked like he may need surgery but won't know for sure until the swellings gone down.

I wasn't going to try potty training yet, I'd thought maybe around may time but she saw some knickers she wanted in m&s yesterday and asked for them, so I said she could have them if she stopped wearing nappies and went to the toilet, she said she would. We came home, she got her nappy straight off and we've only had one wee on the carpet since. All the rest on the toilet (she won't entertain using the potty!) So hopefully it will be a success!!

mrsm22 · 26/03/2014 22:44

Wow Better - that is good progress re the toilet training! I wonder if my DS will be as good. We were thinking around May time too. Sorry about your DH again, I hope he doesn't need surgery. What's it like having him at home? My DH is working nights again now so we are all at home during the day.

HungryHorace · 27/03/2014 07:06

Good going re toilet training, Better. Your clever DD. :-)

Odaat · 27/03/2014 09:43

Hi all,
Hope everyone is well? Today I woke to bleeding :/ i also have lower back ache, I am not thinking I had a chemical pregnancy. I am hoping this bleeding is just implantation, but I doubt it :/
Ah well, I will just have to wait and see :)

lovesmycake · 27/03/2014 09:49

Hey Odaat - Thinking of you are you planning on going to the Dr's or waiting it out?

Odaat · 27/03/2014 09:58

Thanks loves my cake.
I shall wait it out and see if I have a period or if it stops. As it is not painful and likely to be a hemical pregnancy i dont think I really need to see the doc. But if pain worsens etc i shall.

mrsm22 · 27/03/2014 10:05

Hi Odaat - are you ok? I'm so sorry you've had bleeding. I hate bleeding as you can never tell what it is or what's the cause. When I was pregnant with my DS we had sex one morning (on my birthday actually) and I bled really badly afterwards. I was sure I was losing my baby and had to spend a whole day in hospital. It was the most scary thing I've ever experienced. But with both my pregnancies I had a show, or implantation bleed. How much blood have you had and has it stopped?
Hi Loves - how are you?
Hi Morerum - my DH has a friend who does landscaping and he's done really well out of it. All the best to your DH for his new business venture.

lovesmycake · 27/03/2014 10:53

I think thats a good call re waiting Odaat, are you ok I know waiting is hard?

Hello mrs im good thanks just pootling aound enjoying the lovely weather :)

Odaat · 27/03/2014 12:50

Hi mrs :)
Yeh I am im thank ladies. Pretty gutted though! I have a blood test monday. Had a positive test a couple of hours ago / however do said this hormone can stay in your body for 3 days after the pregnancy fails :/
He think its unlikely i am pregnant now, but nlood results will tell! Fingers x. Thanks :)
