boodle yay! Try and stay as positive as possible. I know it must be hard, but the more I read about ivf, the more I wonder whether a positive ouook plays a small part. Might be worth doing the catching rainbows ivf meditation in your 2ww? I have everything crossed for you xx

tigerdog · 16/03/2014 15:51

boodle willing your two little boodlets on from over here! Calm denial is probably not a bad strategy. Sending positive vibes in bucketfuls. X

Boodlets Grin

FeatherFeather11 · 16/03/2014 16:45

Boodlets - Grin

Question berries: now on cd22 and I've still got brownish cm when I wipe. Do you think it's still post hsg stuff or af? Confused. Getting faint lines on opks, but it seems to be getting stronger at the mo. Any wisdom would be much appreciated...

Hope you're all enjoying the sun!

BoodleDoo · 16/03/2014 17:19

I'll give the meditation a whirl - getting used to doing that at acu anyway!

Feather - I used to get strongish OPKs before AF, so it might be on its way. Is spotting normal for you? (Forgive me, you've probably said before!)

FeatherFeather11 · 16/03/2014 18:04

Not really boodle - but my cycles are all over the shop and the last one was 60+ days long so maybe it's a way of levelling out. Who knows!

barkingtreefrog · 16/03/2014 19:01

feather have you already OV'd this cycle? I never used to get spotting before AF (used to get it as part of it), but post mc and return of cycles, I've had lots of spotting the last two cycles - this cycle was 7 days of spotting followed by 4 days of bleeding - insane! So it could be pre-AF spotting, but if you haven't already Ov'd it could be random and the opks are showing Ov approaching (I always used to Ov on cd22).

FeatherFeather11 · 16/03/2014 21:16

Not that I know of barking according to temps and opks I haven't. Maybe you're right about random spotting. There's a chance the hsg way have, erm, wiggled things about down there.

How is everyone? V quiet in here again. We need a few bfps to shake things up around the joint!

tigerdog · 16/03/2014 21:28

Evening all, I'm absolutely cream-crackered! Had a satisfyingly busy day diy'ing and then cooking a big old sunday roast for OH's family. Hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday.

feather I would imagine it is post hsg spotting but when did you ov, or has it not happened yet?

So more cycle confusion here ladies - anyone else experience a longer cycle post hsg? No af, which makes me two days late. I don't even feel like it is on its way - I usually spot the day before but so far nothing. I had the hsg on CD 20, which should have been post ov so no chance I'm pg either. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow then it will officially be my longest cycle since records began Smile (Feb 2011). Weird. And again messes with my dates and careful plans!

Gillster · 16/03/2014 21:29

This is my first cycle after the IVF and I've had quite a bit of spotting over the last few days, which I've never really had before. Think I'm CD20 today. Not sure where I am with OV. Not measuring it at all but haven't had any tell tale signs yet.

beakybeak · 16/03/2014 22:40

Feather, I've had a bit if spotting over the last week since the HSG, yours could be related to that if you've not ov'd yet?

Tiger I have ov'd 2 days later than usual this cycle but didn't know if was due to taking vitex or the HSG.

I think I'm out this cycle as only managed to dtd once due to work etc. I've also had a baby announcement and a birth this weekend which is lovely but I feel like I'm getting further and further behind!

Hope everyone else has had a good weekend Smile

beakybeak · 16/03/2014 23:20

Ooo a Shamrock !

FeatherFeather11 · 16/03/2014 23:42

Ah, beaky that's a relief to know. Just putting it down to the hsg then. And remember, it only takes one Dtd to make a bfp. Got everything crossed for you. Think of this as a four leaf clover Shamrock Wink

tiger don't think I've ov'd yet

gill are you going for another IVF cycle next? Sorry - finding it hard to keep up with the thread as I'm on my phone and have a memory like a sieve.

Parsley2506 · 17/03/2014 07:33

Happy St Patrick's day!! Shamrock
Shame none of us can actually celebrate with a glass of the black stuff, pah!

7DPO here and totally imagined boob twinges this morning. Off to a completely pointless meeting in Bath today, oh well, it's a day out of the big smoke I guess! Assuming pollen count doesn't ruin the day that is.....

beakybeak · 17/03/2014 08:50

Happy St Patricks day! Shamrock

Yep Feather will think of it as a 4 leaf clover then! OH was really good last night for a change when I stressed about the only once thing, so thankfully feel a bit better today. It's his 30th this week so having a party with lots of Irish people which I'm afraid is going to mean tons of alcohol, hmm. Will be working on pretending to be drinking or making a drink last a long time!

OttersPocket · 17/03/2014 10:50

Hi everyone, I've been lurking but not posting. I'm trying to step back a bit from obsessing yeah right but it's good to keep updated with everyone's news.

So many good vibes coming your way boodle!

I'll add my stats: Otters, 32, TTC since March 2012. MMC Nov '13. OV problems, 8th round of Clomid, acu and many, many vitamins.

sparechange · 17/03/2014 12:51

Hello berries,
The slackest berry on the block is back in town Blush
I've been lurking and spying on most of you, so not as out of the loop as my absence would suggest...

friendly wave

winohhh · 17/03/2014 16:57

Boodle, you're pupo!! Yay! I hope it's a swift and distracted 2 weeks!

Lots of spotting going on at the mo in berry hq. Me too...9dpo. Not sure whether I feel good about it (implantation bleeding!!!!) or not (AF coming early, fucked up post miscarriage cycle!!!) argh! Hate this!

I was also in an irrationally bad mood yesterday. Obviously pregnant. Argh!!!

barkingtreefrog · 17/03/2014 18:37

Your body is just messing with your mind win, because you haven't got enough uncertainty already!! Wink

I spoke to a TA at work today who took 7 years to conceive her first child. It was stimulated IUI that worked for them! Grin

I'm just wishing away the time until I get my appointment letter through.....

beakybeak · 17/03/2014 19:30

Cripes Otters, 2 weeks! That's so bloody fast. Re job interview, I'd say go anyway, you never know and one thing I've probably learned is that you can't put the rest of your life on hold. You can always say no Grin

Boo to the confusion Win, but you never know!

Barking that must be reassuring to hear! The poor woman though, 7 years!

BoodleDoo · 17/03/2014 19:43

sparechange - I'm imagining you as a storm battered, weary traveller who has been wandering the realms of mumsnet, lost and unable to find your way back to berry HQ.

Parsley2506 · 17/03/2014 20:22

Nothing ventured otters - as beaky says you can always turn it down if it doesn't feel right. As for the short surge, no idea I'm afraid but as long as you're regularly playing hide the sausage you should be covered! What are these magic cm pills??
Envy and a little bit of Angry to people who instadiff and then crow about how quickly they fell. Just sod off you smug wankers!
Glad to hear from you, but I agree it's good to pretend to take a break from ttc obsessing now and then!

winoh I've had no pre-AF spotting after the MC, just full on heavy period bleeding, so I am quietly keeping my fingers crossed for you.

barking 7 years! I sincerely hope none of us have that kind of wait, but good for her/them and I hope it works for you guys...

8DPO and had a weird sort of twangy sensation in the cervical area today followed by a (tmi alert) almost gush of cm. Wtf?
In other news - bought an infrared electrical hayfever device today. It makes me look like Rudolph but am hoping it's the answer to my non-drug hayfever cure prayers!

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/03/2014 20:47

Otters I would guess your surge isn't as short as it seemed, but smiley face OPKs are a kind of black or white/on or off positive or neg. if you use the IC strip OPKs you probably would have a seen a gradual building of the hormones before the positive

greatbigbushybeard · 17/03/2014 21:43

Lol at hide the sausage!! I'm curious about the cm boosting pills too. Apparently eating bean sprouts, jelly and I think carrots are good for cm. I did try drinking grapefruit juice back in the day, foul stuff and now can't be doing with it now.

What is the meditation people have been talking about? Is it something you have to pay for on the rainbow site?

Otters, go for the job, if you think it's something you'd enjoy then why not. We never quite know what life is going to deal us and I've learnt there's no point banking on ttc, just do what's right for you and try not to overthink it.

My Ivf drugs should come tom-eek!!

I flipping hate instadiffers too! (Love that term, never heard it before this site!!)

barkingtreefrog · 17/03/2014 22:31

otters I accepted a promotion a couple of years ago that meant I had to go to uni and do a qualification. We'd already started ttc and the course didn't start until the April (a couple of months away at the time) and was 18 months long. I was fretting about whether I'd be able to do it while on maternity, whether I could take a break and go back to it etc. Ha bloody ha. I finished the course and got the qualification 5 months ago..... Shock .

bushy there's a section on there with free downloads, not sure which meditation is free though.

parsley I got one of those a couple of years ago!! Looks bloody ridiculous but I used it every morning and night through hayfever season and I swear it helped a bit! Grin
