I only tend to check in once a day now but can hardly keep up.

Welcome Little, make yourself at home.

Snow - sorry you have had such a bad appointment and have been left with more questions than answers. Hopefully things will become clearer in the next few weeks and you'll end up with a plan of action like Barking's.

Boodle, maybe we can set up a five a side game with one of your teams and my 6 embies (5 plus sub)!

Barking - I would just take it easy over the next few months particularly given the amazing holiday you have coming up. Try not to worry about timing at this stage, too much water to go under the bridge before then.

Glad your appointment went well Feathers.

Laughing at the max cleavage.com comments! You'll have to let us know how it goes Funky.

I'm going to join snow by the lava lamp of limbo. After spending the last 2 weeks ringing the FC, the gynae dept and even my private health insurance it looks as if it will be the end of June before this blasted polyp is removed. Going to confirm the appointment tomorrow but don't think I can do any better even if it is just outside the 18 week wait. So we'll probably end up being IVF/IUI buddies Barking. Pretty bloody pissed off with the whole shebang. Have thrown myself into the gym/parkrun as a result and I'm liking the results but it's pretty much the only thing keeping me sane at the moment. Sad

barkingtreefrog · 13/03/2014 06:36

gilster so sorry you're having to wait so long when you'd already got started Sad . When I worked out it could be July before our planning appointment I immediately considered how fit I could get on the bike by then! (knee injury still playing up so no running for me).
I'm still waking up every morning before my alarm, anything from 5am onwards, so I'm going to ditch the daily temping and just use opks. When I get a +opk I'll temp until I see a rise above coverline. My coverline hasn't changed in all the time I've been temping so I think I can still work out what I need to know! And I won't be temping or opking on our honeymoon!

snow do you have an appointment to discuss your results yet, or will they call you?

Gillster · 13/03/2014 06:40

I'm also with you on the early mornings Barking! Don't know what is going on there.

winohhh · 13/03/2014 09:08

Barking, sounds like a good appointment. Just add my own personal experience to the progesterone thing. Mine was borderline on my day 21 test (in the late 20s). That was the cycle I got preggers, so I asked them to check progesterone again, and it had gone up to the normal range.

Welcome little, sorry you find yourself here, fingers crossed for a short stay!!

littlevoice1702 · 13/03/2014 10:14

wow. thank you so much everyone - it's so refreshing to be surrounded (albeit virtually) by women who are going through the same thing.

boodle and barking I've been referred for nhs, which is a load of my mind, because we just couldn't afford a private cycle just yet. i've been with my partner for 8 years and weirdly i still can't believe that we can't conceive. it's always felt like it would naturally happen, so i'm feeling so mad at myself that my body's betrayed me like this. i had a large ovarian cyst removed a few months ago and it's left me with a blocked fallopian tube, so things have just gone from bad to worse.

peasant i'm so sorry that you were treated like that - i know you can't technically count it as an emergency but to us...it is!

gillster what a nightmare - so sorry to hear that. i've found myself doing anything and everything to keep my mind off things and keeping fit is such a great way to do it. have you tried yoga? it's the only hour i have in a day where i can switch off.

how is everyone else doing?

BoodleDoo · 13/03/2014 19:01

Evening all!

Little, I'm the complete opposite of you. DH (man lump) and I always felt really uneasy when we talked about having kids and eventually admitted that we both felt there would be difficulties. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy.

tigerdog · 13/03/2014 20:25

Evening! Quiet in here today...

little I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. You're in the right place here though.

gil how frustrating that you have to wait that long - I thought they suggested 6 weeks initially? Hmph on your behalf.

Dunno about you guys but I am finding that this week is dragging! Feel a bit knackered and also like I'm getting a uti or something (which may or may not be linked to the hsg). Phoned gp who issued precautionary antibiotics, but I'm going to hold out before taking them in the hope it will go of its own accord.

Still, it's Friday tomorrow - happy days! Just made some rather weird pear and cocoa vegan muffins. I think a person would need to go without lovely buttery sugary cake for a long time before thinking these were amazing but they're not bad.

Everyone ok?

beakybeak · 13/03/2014 20:40

Hi all, just trying to catch up on everything!

Barking sounds like your FC app went really well in terms of getting info and answers to your questions!

Tiger Im still having a few twinges after the HSG and have been a bit crampy on and off afterwards, but if you think something isnt right best off trying the antibis. Pear and cocoa muffins sound nice! Does the pear bake ok?

Gil sorry you have to wait so long, it really is ridiculous Sad

Little sorry to hear about your cyst and blocked tube, it sounds like you have had a really tough time. I had a dildocam recently and they said I had an ovarian cyst, am waiting for my next fc appointment to see what they say about it.

Hope everyone is ok Smile least its thursday!

FeatherFeather11 · 13/03/2014 21:55

Evening all, v quiet in here. How is everyone?

Welcome little - sorry that you're here, but you are now surrounded by some amazing women who know what you're going through. As for the blocked Fallopian tube, have you had a hsg? Sometimes it can go a long way in clearing the path. In any case, you can get pregnant with one working tube anyway. If you've read this thread, then you'll know that I'm a little preoccupied with mine..

tiger I've been having twinges too! and also some light brown cm when I wipe (sorry - tmi) and was wondering if it's hsg related. I was given a massive dose (1000mg!) of antibiotic to take while I was in the X-ray room. Didn't question it and just necked them. Now I have thrush (again, sorry, tmi!) which I always get if I take antibiotics. Grrr.

gill what a pain in the jacksie. Can you not ask your gp to write a letter saying it needs to go sooner as a matter of urgency due to pain?

barking such great news you're moving forward! IUI sounds promising - was it kitty that it worked for? I know three others IRL that now have babies because if iui!

boodle any news yet on ET?

wino how are you?

funky how/where are you?!

happy and you?

Also, merk, if you're reading this, are you due soon or am I imagining things?

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/03/2014 22:05

Always reading Feather! Due a week tomorrow Shock
Sending lots of positive BFP vibes for everyone in here, and glad to hear most of you seem to be getting somewhere with the clinics, even if slower than we'd like. Anyway once I get my fat arse out of the chopper there will be a need for some new grads so looking forward to the next berry clusterdiff Grin

happylass · 13/03/2014 22:14

Evening ladies and welcome Little. Sorry you've found yourself here but your definitely in the right place. Sorry about the delays RP and Gil. Gil it must be so frustrating for you getting so close and then having such a huge hold up .
For those of you post HSG I got twinges for 2-3 days afterwards and generally felt quite sore when going from sitting to standing. Had fair bit of brown CM the day after too. I was given a weeks worth of antibiotics to take and was told its standard procedure.
Been to an open evening at the private FC tonight. Didn't tell us a massive amount we didn't already know but got to ask a few questions about timescales etc. It's about 10 days wait for an initial consultation but then you can start any treatment straight away. Going to wait for our NHS appointment in 3 weeks before we make any firm decisions but think we are going to aim to start IVF/ICSI (she recommended we do half and half) at the beginning of September after the wedding/honeymoon. Did find out that there's such a thing as 'sperm sharing' which entitles you to reduced cost IVF. May be of interest to you Barking as I know you were disappointed not to qualify for the egg sharing. In this particular clinic men have to be under 40 with no sperm issues and be prepared to make 10-12 donations within a 5-6 week period. Maybe worth considering although my DP won't qualify if his sperm does turn out to be clumpy. Lots to think about anyway.
Night berries!

barkingtreefrog · 13/03/2014 22:53

Always nice to hear more success stories feather! Yes, it was kitty that it worked for on here.

My mother, after I'd texted her to tell her the plan, sent a text back just saying 'oh I remember trying that'.

No 'sounds like a good plan' or 'hope you don't have to wait for long'. just that. It didn't work for , so why would she even mention it?!

BoodleDoo · 14/03/2014 08:06

Morning! Patiently waiting over here as we're doing a 5 day transfer; 2 more days to go!

winohhh · 14/03/2014 09:29

Morning!!

boodle any update on how the embies are doing, or do you wait till transfer day to find out?

gill so sorry for the long wait till your op. I find the waiting so frustrating!! I just want to get on with things!! I totally get the exercise thing, trying to get as fit as possible. I went to the gym the day before and the day after my erpc! Shocking! I just did light stuff, but I was so desperate to get ttc ready again.

barking are you still waking early? I had that for 2 months when I was pregnant. I can imagine it makes temping a nightmare.

RP sorry for the test result delay. MORE WAITING!! Argh!

tiger in my post miscarriage haze I thought might have had a symptom free uti which contributed to the miscarriage. I'm not sure you can even get symptom free utis! Anyway, it lead to a purchase of piss sticks off amazon that you can check if you have one. Worth considering? I'm obsessed with weeing on sticks!!

merk I can't believe you're due in a week!!! Amazing!! Hope it all goes well!!! Let us know how it goes when you can!

happy sounds like you have a plan in place! Nice one! How're you feeling about ivf? We're trying naturally for a few months before thinking about ivf, so may be joining you!

I'm well impressed by everyone's baking/ crafting!!

I am 6dpo, my temp is still up (although did have a sore throat when I woke up, never sure if this kind of sickness will effect temps?). But quite pleased that it looks like a vaguely ok cycle for so soon after the erpc.

I've also tried to be a good berry and highlight names!

BoodleDoo · 14/03/2014 09:40

Win, I get lots of sore throats but they never affected my temps. The only time I saw weird temps was either when I physically felt feverish and when I'd been a bit free and easy with alcohol!!!

The embies phone call this morning was, like yesterday's, a bit vague. Today they just said that they were strong enough to go on to blast, but didn't say how many that applied to. Might be a bit unrealistic to hope that it's all of them!!!

winohhh · 14/03/2014 10:52

Great they are strong enough to go to blast, fingers crossed you get lots out of it, and some nice frozen ones at the end!

My sore throat seems to have gone now too, so hopefully nothing too (temp alteringly) serious.

Parsley2506 · 14/03/2014 18:28

boodle yay for blasts!

gil that sucks.

I am currently stood in the melee at Clapham Junction awaiting MrP for a night out with friends so sorry for lack of checking in with everyone else, hope all is well in Berryland!

5DPO here, awaiting the week of mental torment next week....

winohhh · 14/03/2014 18:34

I'm 6dpo parsley let's mental together next week (erm, I may or may not have actually started the mental torture. Feel dizzy and have thrush. Definitely pregnant right??? Oh dear, think AFs arrival this time will hit me hard!) have a fun evening!!

FeatherFeather11 · 14/03/2014 18:48

boodle yay! Brilliant news on the blasting!

parsley I feel like I'm stalking you - I'm in Clapham Junction too. How weird would it be if we were going to the same bar/restaurant?

win don't even talk to me about thrush! I had to take a big blast of antibiotics after my hsg the other day and I have the worst case ever. Gross.

merk can't believe you're only a week away! Time flies. Can't wait to hear your news - although I'm sure you'll be very busy with the baby Berrie!

BoodleDoo · 14/03/2014 18:58

Impromptu berry meet up at Clapham Junction! Everyone pile round!

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/03/2014 19:05

Ooh more Southern Berries. We finally might be outnumbering the Northern teachers Wink

BoodleDoo · 14/03/2014 19:18

Midlands ftw.

Grin
Bunnygirlie · 14/03/2014 20:08

Hello everyone, still keeping an eye on you all Wink

Gil so sorry about your wait, if I relied on NHS my wait for my lap was going to be 3/4 months so I would probably have had it in feb. No luck with private medical then?

boodle keeping everything crossed for those embies

OP posts:
tigerdog · 14/03/2014 20:47

I used to be a Londoner but moved to the Midlands a couple of years ago....still get a little homesick, sniff. Enjoy your clapham nights out feather and parsley!

boodle it must be very hard not to obsess! Hope you've got a lovely weekend lined up to take your mind off it all!

Hello everyone else!

Just waiting for af to arrive so that we can get back on the ttc bandwagon! Due today but no sign as yet....

Knackered, forced myself to do yoga and now I've got to do an application for some bloody advisory...yawn.

FeatherFeather11 · 14/03/2014 22:52
