Great name bushy I hope we can call you that, it's ace! I'm sorry to hear about your ttc difficulties. Good luck for your planning meeting on Thursday. Wide tubes is new to me too Confused but then my tubes haven't been looked at yet (hopefully next week though),
Welcome anyway Smile

beakybeak · 25/02/2014 22:31

Thanks tiger, it's good to know others get it too (even if I just feel crazy still!). How sweet is your OH, it sounds as though he is really supportive Smile I may try the cycling - it will def give my OH a laugh to see that!

barkingtreefrog · 25/02/2014 22:32

Welcome beardy!
Are you secondary or primary? I'm hopefully hopping on the IVF bandwagon before summer, got FC appointment in two weeks and we've ticked the ttc for 2 years box and we've ticked the tried 6 months of clomid box so I can't imagine there is anything else stopping us getting the referral now. If/when it comes to it I will be telling work what is happening. They know I had a mc and they know I've been trying over 2 years so it seems pointless hiding this when I'm going to need all the support they can give me. Can't help already looking at dates and thinking it won't work that month, can't do it when I'm on the residential, that's when we're away... And I've not even been referred yet!! No idea how long the waiting list is, all I know it that I'm very unlikely to get a cycle in before I'm 35, and once I'm 35 I'm not eligible for the reduced cost egg sharing option, which is a bugger because we only get one cycle on the nhs and if I hadn't had a failed pregnancy last year I'd probably be having a cycle right now, and would have time to egg share before I'm too old if the nhs ivf hadn't worked Angry .

Still, completely pointless to rant about the what ifs. I just have to deal with the what is!

barkingtreefrog · 25/02/2014 22:37

Argh, waffling away and cross posted with loads!

Wow, an OH who does all the googling, that's a rare breed tiger! Grin My DH said yesterday that maybe he should 'stay in' for a bit after we've finished. Not quite sure what difference that would make when he's already discharged the goods, maybe he thinks he needs to keep the plug in while they swim around?! Hmm

beaky I usually cry for no reason the day before AF but since my cycles have been messed up post mc I've just been randomly sad/angry all over the shop! Confused

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/02/2014 22:56

Barking your keeping the plug in comment made me snort loudly Grin

Welcome Bushy from me, resident lurker and chart stalker as I am one of the lucky berries who is currently pg. you couldn't have picked a better bunch if people to support you through the highs and lows

beakybeak · 25/02/2014 22:57

Ah Barking, it must be really difficult not knowing what's going on with your cycles. I get so frustrated at not understanding my own body Confused

Strangely, my OH had said about "staying in" afterwards one time?!! I'm crossing everything for a wedding diff for you though Smile

BoodleDoo · 25/02/2014 23:00

I swear I just sent a comment with this in but nevermind...isn't there an animal that leaves the penis in as a semen block/protection against other males? Literally, the penis breaks off though...

Maybe your blokes have been getting ideas from Planet Earth!

beakybeak · 25/02/2014 23:02

It breaks off?!! Grim! We will not be trying that one Shock

FeatherFeather11 · 25/02/2014 23:19

Welcome bushy!

Re 'staying in' - took me a while to clock what you all meant. Thought you were all were talking about staying at home and I was trying to work out what good that would do! Grin

beaky I get the moods too - not sure where exactly in my cycle but I seem to spend a lot of time before af getting short and snappy.

Hi everyone else!

greatbigbushybeard · 25/02/2014 23:26

Arr thank you all for being so lovely!!

The username was a bit of a mare setting up, I did have shorter ones in mind but they wouldn't accept them!! Bushy is fine by me SmileAs I'm new to this do you ladies tend to post on phone, pad or computer? I think you'll be able to tell when I use my phone as there'll be loads of typos!!

I remember the biggest head spin of starting ttc was not having to ahem 'clear up' if you know what I mean!! It's a messy old business! A friend of mine who has a one year old said she thinks it was putting her legs up against the chimney breast for half an hour afterward that did it for her. I tried to try it but our bed is too close to the chimney so I was all squashed up like a contortionist!!

Is it foxes that have spiky doo dahs to help it stay in??!! What a funny conversation!!

Thanks for your school and Ivf exp. I get a bit worried about stuff like this and don't want to make a lot of fuss, I also know that our staff members esp the dh cannot keep a secret and my info would be told to everyone, although the head would be discreet. He was great about my lap but the amt of different people that tried to get out of me what the op was for was terrible, just nosey really!! I'm primary barking.

You guys have made me feel really welcome and happy inside. Thanks! Smile

greatbigbushybeard · 25/02/2014 23:36

Ha ha, love it feather, you're so innocent!!

Yeah the tubes were a surprise to me, thought wide would be good but when they did the dye test it wasn't travelling well, maybe being wide means they can't shoot that egg along so well. Also I had quite a bit of endo. Although apparently I have a lovely uterus Blush

BoodleDoo · 25/02/2014 23:38

I've heard that cats have spiky bits, which is why they make so much noise mating, I suppose. I'm very grateful that humans evolved separately!

In other news, cross fingers that I can stop downregging tomorrow; I'm utterly fed up with the side effects.

Gillster · 25/02/2014 23:59

You berries are on top form tonight! Been laughing to myself for the last 10mins.

DH is a very competitive person so when we DTD I always imagine that his swimmers are racing each other and "elbowing" each other out of the way in order to get to the egg first. Because of all this competitive energy they then run out is steam when they reach the egg which is why we're not pregnant. More likely it's my stale eggs and polypy uterus though!

Had a frustrating day of trying to follow up the polyp removal op. kept being given a different phone number which just rang out so need to give it another go tomorrow. We've just moved offices and now I'm open plan so feel really self conscious having to slope off into a separate room each time I try to make a phone call.

Welcome Bushy, make yourself at home. I have to say I thought we'd seen every condition here in Berry HQ but wide tubes is a new one on me. My boss was really supportive about the IVF and just told me to do what I needed to do. He has no idea that I didn't complete the cycle though.

I'm pleased to report that the boobs are back in control! AF has arrived and it's probably the happiest I've been to see her although based on first impressions, think she's going to be a real bitch this month. I generally have a really grumpy day just before AF arrives in terms of PMS symptoms.

I think once AF has been shown the door, it's timd that DH and I got down to some sexy sex again. Until I have my op, I just feel a bit in limbo so may as well take it easy and start enjoying sex again. Having a month off sex due to the IVF has made me miss it and that probably explains the recent steamy dreams! Blush

greatbigbushybeard · 26/02/2014 00:07

I think it's when you're denied it that you want it more, which is kinda why I think ttc sex gets a bit boring! Gilster, I told my dh about the boobs as a side effect he might like from the Ivf!! Dirty beehive wanted to know how much bigger. Boodle- my head is all confused with the Ivf is the dower egging where you are sniffing or injecting... Might be me soon aghhhh!!

BoodleDoo · 26/02/2014 07:06

It can be either bit I've been injecting. The actual process isn't too bad but the side effects have been rubbish.

barkingtreefrog · 26/02/2014 07:23

Do you have an appointment today Boodle? Hope they move you on.

barkingtreefrog · 26/02/2014 07:41

CD16 here, no temp rise this morning. Last cycle I had a temp rise.
+opk monday night and tuesday morning. Last cycle I had +opk on cd15.
I thought I might settle to a new pattern, but maybe not...
Really want Ov to come today and temp rise tomorrow, otherwise I've no idea what's happening. I didn't take any of my chinese medicine this week though as my throat was so sore I couldn't face swallowing all the tablets. Now I'm worried that was the difference.

Parsley2506 · 26/02/2014 08:25

Grin at 'dower egging' - took me a few seconds to figure that one out! I'm mostly a phone poster too bushy so my posts often contain clangers, but I am getting better at proof reading before hitting 'post'

You lot and your animal sex stories, I have been giggling away on my very quiet train. I once caught a pair of foxes 'locked' together. They knew they'd been rumbled and were trying to run away from each other but the boy fox's dingdong was obviously not budging, so they were stuck bum to bum in our garden looking very sheepish, like a foxey PushMePullYou.

winohhh · 26/02/2014 09:26

Welcome bushy!! Sorry you find yourself here though. I also have low amh (the category just after dismal too!) have you had your fsh checked? Are you taking anything to improve egg quality? I think kuma is another low amh-er. (thanks for the holland and barrat tip for co q10 kuma, I'll try them after I've finished my boots stash!)

Bushy, I normally use my phone, which makes it a bit harder to read back to see what people say, so a real test of my ageing memory!!

Barking, sorry about the messed up cycles. Fingers crossed for a temp rise soon. I'm in the weird position of doing a hpt every morning, hoping that the line is fading. It makes me feel a bit sad every time I do it. How excited I was to see that line initially, and now how sad. :( the good news is that it's getting lighter.

Gillster, any luck finding out about the op?

Boodle, hope down regging stops today. When will you find out?

barkingtreefrog · 26/02/2014 11:22

win do you need to do that to yourself every day? Surely now you know it's getting darker you could leave it a week and then do a last one? I remember how horrible it was to do an hpt after the mc Thanks . I did one after a couple of weeks thinking that I had to see a negative so that if I tested again and it was positive I'd know I was pg again - especially as the nurse had told me I'd be more fertile. Little did I know that I wouldn't even ovulate for 4 months!! Oh how nieve....

Convinced I'm ovulating today though. Had accupuncture this morning and I swear I could feel ov cramps. I was lying there encouraging all the swimmers to fight for the eggs then calculating when I'd have my 12 week scan, and which half term it would take me up to for maternity leave..... FC appointment for IVF referral is two weeks today, please let me have a FUFC!!!!! Grin

barkingtreefrog · 26/02/2014 11:23

Sorry, I meant lighter, obviously. Sorry Sad .

winohhh · 26/02/2014 12:45

Yes, you're probably right barking. It just makes me feel worse :( I'm just so desperate for this part of my life to be over, as if I'll magically feel better. I suspect that won't be the case.

winohhh · 26/02/2014 12:46

Sending lots of strong ovulation vibes your way barking!!! Fingers crossed!!

barkingtreefrog · 26/02/2014 15:56

You won't magically feel better, but each step gets you a little closer. Thanks The negative hpt, the first signs of Ov, first AF to show your cycle is back, past the would be 12 week mark, etc. I'm hoping I'll stop the bump size guessing when I've passed my due date and with any luck I then won't think about it much anymore. Who knows? I may have a new bump brewing by then anyway, and so might you! Grin .

BoodleDoo · 26/02/2014 18:40

The foxy "push me pull you" just made me snort! I'm not usually one for LOLing!

Soooo, my ovaries are doing bugger all and there's not much womb lining to speak of...down regging (dower egging - sounds like a cheap rip off of douwe egberts coffee) has worked. One hurdle done. Start on stimming tonight. Double injections. Boooooo.
