To keep this thread going, proving support to all of those of a 'riper vintage' wishing for a baby...

I have received so much help, advice and support here, so although I technically have graduated, I thought I'd get the next thread going to keep the momentum.

Gum nice to hear some positives from you too. Smile You are very lucky with all that you have. Am I right though, that your desire to have more children increases the more you have? I find the pain of not having a second is much worse than not having any at all which doesn't really make sense, does it?

Thanks also for the info from the thread. Sounds like melatonin might not be for me. I will study it a bit more closely. Also interesting about DHEA and myo inositol.

Wow Green!

Justpickagoddamnname · 09/07/2014 17:22

Congratulations Green! That is brilliant! Hoorah!
1000 fireflies, I think you may have something about how the more kids you have the more you want. I find myself thinking things like, 'I should have started 10 years ago. I could've had six by now!'

Irishmammybread · 09/07/2014 17:49

Wow, congratulations Green, Grinch ,Just !
Jass I know what you mean about asking for no congrats just yet (with my last pregnancy I waited till I got 3weeks+ on a CB before contacting the EPU for an early scan, and waited till I had that and saw a heart beat before going to my GP and actually registering the pregnancy to get in the system!) but I'm crossing everything for you and wishing you well x
Fireflies hope you're next!
Got to go, DD3 starting to cry , catch up soon
Hi Gum , JBrd and everyone else

jassS · 09/07/2014 17:50

green - congratulations!

I have always wanted 4, even when i was a child. But when i was pg with the 4th I suddenly wanted fifth. And had I had the 5th easily who knows where the new ceiling would have been:-)

Grizzer · 10/07/2014 14:41

Congratulations Green, amazing news. Without wishing to sound like a reality TV 'star' what a journey it's been! Excuse my ignorance but do you just have a normal pregnancy now or is there special monitoring or treatments you still have to have?
I had a bfn this morning but not due AF til Sunday. Pretty sure she's on her way though. Out next month too as dh is doing a London to Paris charity cycle & will be gone at the crucial time. On a positive note he brought up adoption yesterday so that is s

Grizzer · 10/07/2014 14:45

I can't believe I keep doing that!!
.... Something we will look in to when our own TTC time is up.
How are you feeling Jass?
Hello to all x

jassS · 10/07/2014 15:13

I hope all our fresh bfps are somewhere where they can sleep whenever they wish! i am terribly sleepy and that seems to be my only pg symptom. But it has never been much more. good part - absolutely no spotting, apart from 8-12dpo. i am on no supplements apart from agnus castus and folic acid. So,no prog suppositories to hold mc back. I did not start anything because i was already 14-15dpo when i discovered this pregnacy, and by this time I usually have already a natural progesterone level above 50. i have not checked but lack of spotting is indicating this is so. Not so good part - i am 3w6 and 17-18 dpo, but getting 1-2 on clearblue digital. I have vague memory of my last successful pg that it did only show up on 15dpo (i tested 11dpo then, was neg). then the test line was not equal to control neither on 17dpo but everything was OK. i was not obsessed then and did not test more, so i do not know when the nose up in hcg happened then. My test lines are progressing, normally a mc is announced by a weaker test line one day and then again line picks up and hcg goes to 1000 before i miscarry, but after that drop it is already a doomed pg. the latest i have seen the drop was 20dpo, so if i get until Mo without drop and reasonable rises i will start to be optimistic. Of course, there have been cašes when thes rop has happened already 12-13 dpo, and I may have missed it. Torture.

jassS · 10/07/2014 15:16

sorry for errors, ipadding from work meeting....

diege · 11/07/2014 06:30

green wonderful, wonderful news Grin. I'm so pleased for you Flowers.
Jass I'll not say anything but I really am thinking of you and will be holding my breath for news about how things are progressing xxx
gum gosh the dd episode does sound stressful but, as others have said, reassuringly normal. I had a few sneaky 'lifts' from Boots at that age (toners and shaders sachets iirc Blush)
Lots of congrats for all the bfps; I really please for everyone xx
So busy here - job has gone up to full-time after much nagging on my behalf, and am also doing the exam marking/team leading which I am finding totally overwhelming. Am away with that for 3/4 days at a time for various meetings, and then have to try and catch up with the other job...Oh and of course the small matter of the 6 dcs...Having said that, I do thrive on being busy but possibly I've taken on a teeny bit more this time than I feel comfortable wth. It will (the marking) be over in 2 weeks though, so bite sized chunks and all that Grin.
Sports day and school fair today - lovely Hmm Wink

greenlizard · 11/07/2014 07:42

diege I am exhausted just hearing about your life!! Lovely to you.

jass fingers crossed for you - there are no words I suspect but hope that this one sticks around - torture is the right word Flowers

grizzer aside from hoping I have an "normal "pregnancy I have to take progesterone/estrogen until the placenta takes over at around 12 weeks. This is because I didn't ovulate I have no corpus luteum they have to substitute it. A,so I will be monitored at the hospital due to the previous 2 miscarriages so I think I will get regular scans. The clinic scan me at around 6-7 weeks to check its a viable pregnancy before setting me loose into the NHS Grin

The day I tested on would be the equivalent of 13DPO the clear blue conception indicator came up straight away with 2-3 weeks - so I have convinced myself that both embryos have implanted however yesterday I had some brown spotting. I am trying not to freak out as there is nothing I can do anyway except to continue to pee on every stick I can get my hands on and compare the lines and google constantlySmile

The worry never ends......

diege · 11/07/2014 12:57

green the midwife told me that brown implantation spotting can be on and off for up to 12 weeks (she compared it to the blood coming away over time from a scab Hmm). How are you feeling today? xx

jassS · 11/07/2014 19:54

Hope everybody is feeling great, no one is spotting any more! green, 2-3 weeks on 13 DPO is indeed high, it must mean a beat value of above 200.

My line today was more holding it than strengthening, but is not weaker neither. No dip in levels. If I get reasonably darker line over weekend will risk another digi. Another 1-2 now when i am into fifth week by any calculation would mean the usual, I think. Am sleeping, eating like a pg person, nothing else apart from an occasional tingle in breasts when I think about whether I have any feeling in them.

jassS · 12/07/2014 11:58

And today it was clearly weaker. So, I am again miscarrying. Disappointment is not too intense, fortunately. Waiting for it to be over now...

Grizzer · 12/07/2014 15:47

So sorry Jass, I know you were half expecting this outcome but it doesn't make it any easier for you. Thinking of you x

Grizzer · 12/07/2014 19:21

Af has arrived. I'm looking on the bright side as I'm at a wedding on Friday & then having a week at Butlins & wine will be needed for the daily entertainment that is Bob the Builder & Angelina Ballerina! I am going to relax for a month while dh does his cycle to Paris & then start again.

Gumblossom · 13/07/2014 11:04

Oh Jass, I am sorry to hear that. I was really hoping you'd have your take home bub.

Grizzer sorry to hear about AF.

I have just sat down to write all about my weekend, but I have just remembered I forgot to put vegies into the oven for the roast (Oh dear!)

I hope I'll get onto the computer tomorrow morning.

BTW, looks like I've completely missed the fertile window, so no tww for me this month. Sad

Justpickagoddamnname · 13/07/2014 11:33

I am so sorry jassS. That is hard even if anticipated.
grizzled, sorry to hear about AF. Hope you have a relaxing month, sounds like you have a lot of good stuff packed into it.
