Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Thanks guys Smile Alas, ERTD has shown herself in full flow this morning - and then some! It's like a flippin' cork out of a bottle, the hopeful little medium pad I had on last night didn't stand a chance there's another pair of PJ bottoms ruined Hmm

I don't know why I always decide that a light period beginning = implantation Confused Wishful thinking obvs, plus this was a weird one!! I read somewhere that you should start counting day 1 of period as the first 'flow' day and not count spotting, I'm starting to wonder if that might be throwing me my period app out, coz I start from spotting usually... Hmmm.

Didn't know that about EWCM Minion - I'm a devil for going hours without a drink of water, I should start to make the effort to get more down me! Might help with the diet too Shock

OP posts:
Nessalina · 07/01/2014 10:01

Oh god yes, Latium, get thyself to a chemist! Grin POAS POAS POAS!

OP posts:
Minion · 07/01/2014 10:16

Yep, apparently the more liquid drank, the more mucus produced.. Or you can guzzle cough syrup, one with guifansen in, that loosens it too.
I'm an intelligent woman, I really should have worked this one out, the husband has always told me to drink more, but I just don't need it like some folk do..
Or so I thought! Quite clearly this is my bodies revenge!
How's about me and you ness do a part way through new year resolution! to drink more water together?
I'm about to start, 1 of 5 glasses a day!
Deal?

Nessalina · 07/01/2014 10:31

Sound like a plan! Smile I'm going to equate 5 glasses to 2x500ml bottles of water - I find it much easier to refill a bottle and see how much I'm up to!
It is supposed to be good for you, it's just so booooring Smile

Does gin count? It is, after all, liquid?

thelentil · 07/01/2014 10:40

I've found it's easy enough to chug a litre or two of water down at my desk, but hardly ever drink water at weekends

Do hot drinks count? Decaf of course

thelentil · 07/01/2014 10:41

Not sure I could manage a litre of gin while sitting at my desk, hmmm

Challenge accepted

lil1ady · 07/01/2014 10:48

I joined zing for her water guzzling thread at the end of last year. really helped. we should start another water thread. and you should all get the hydro app aka hydra Grin

Nessalina · 07/01/2014 10:53

Hahaha! Yeah, gin might be a little beyond my capacity!!
I always tell myself that I drink a lot of tea and that must make up what I need, but I don't think there's any substitute for plain ol' water... Plus I'm not sure I want my EWCM to be tea-based Wink

OP posts:
Minion · 07/01/2014 11:12

There's an app for that? My gawd, there's an app for literally everything.
I'd try to neck a litre of booze at my job but for some reason or another a drunk air hostess doesn't seem like a good idea.

Right I'm one glass down (and 3 eggy breads, but there's milk in that so that counts-ish), another one on its way.

Not sure I'm going to be able to do it next week. I'm spending a week in a hotel in Brighton with crew from 100 airlines around the world, drinking booze, eating and socialising. But I'm making wine count!

Minion · 07/01/2014 11:46

I canny find that app!

CosyTeaBags · 07/01/2014 12:48

Ness I've had that annoying spotting, few days of brown CM prior to ERTD starting. I convinced myself that it must be implantation bleeding, because I'd never had it before. It wasn't.

I had it for a couple of months, then it stopped again - now getting the normal ERTD without spotting. I think it's just something weird that happens from time to time, although I have read it could be linked to low progesterone.

RE Drinking lots of water to help EWCM - I need to join that challenge too, I don't drink enough. I've read that grapefruit juice is good for CM, so I drink a glass of that a day as well. I also drank my first pot of decaf tea today it wasn't as good as normal tea, but I'm going to experiment with different brands until I find one to hit the spot.

Latium - how are you not peeing on every stick you can find? I've just checked back and you said you were 2 days late on Friday, is that right? If that's the case.... POAS!!!!!!!!!! Even the voice of reason countdown to pregnancy website says 'test at will' from the day ERTD is due onwards

DulcetMoans · 07/01/2014 14:27

I went for a walk at lunch with the intention of sitting on a nice bench to catch up here but was so bloody windy I only got as far as reading and then thought 'sod it, i'll do it at the desk!'

Sorry to hear you are out nessa. I had the PJ thing, never easy to get out either. As if it isn't bad enough!

Minion - you've already had the best advice but really, don't worry about the doctors. I really wasn't looking forward to it but turned out to be really positive. She took me seriously and took action. It felt good to know I was doing something! My tips are to take DP if possible - I think she too us more seriously because we were both there. Also, take a write up of your cycle/DTD for the past couple of months. She barely looked at mine when I went but again, showed we meant business and we had really really tried!

Come on latium, we love to cheer lead - POAS!!

Latium123 · 07/01/2014 19:14

Evening girls. Loving the increased water intake plan - sounds generally healthy as well as conception inducing. I'm in on that one.

Sorry to hear about ERTD Nessa (and the PJs).

Right, I did POAS this morning and had a bit of a drama but ultimately result is negative. Drama involved a CB digital which I might have drowned in pee and led to a malfunction with the little egg timer flashing alternating with the word "No" followed by the word "pregnant", I glanced over at the point the word pregnant was displayed not at that stage realising the malfunction and near peed myself again. That one had to be binned. Tried with an internet cheapie - negative and a CB plus - also negative. I think this must be the result but still no sign of ERTD (nothing at all, no spotting, nothing). It's all most weird as I was due on new year's day. I have absolutely never in my life been this late and have never missed one. I came off the pill in April and everything appeared to return to normal straight away with 26-28 day cycle every month since then. I don't know what to think. Still have the metallic taste, have a lot of what looks like EWCM, have felt a bit sick and some indigestion (all of which symptoms, non?). Must be a phantom pregnancy!!

Clear blue tells me to test again in three days if still no ERTD and if still negative go to visit the doctor. However, I suspect the doctor will be unlikely to do anything / show any concern so may well be a bit of a waste of time.

I'm just annoyed as if not pregnant would like the evil one to rock up just so we can get it out of the way, move on to next month and get shagging again. Bloomin bodies, they tricks us.

Latium123 · 07/01/2014 19:16

Apologies for the symptom spotting - will totally get chucked off! Promise will come up with some good JSing stories soon!!

lil1ady · 07/01/2014 19:48

Hi all. I've created a water thread for those who want to join Water I hope that link works!

Sorry you're out Nessa and that you need new PJ's, she's a real witch!

latium fx for a false negative for you! Doctors can do a blood test....i'd be booking the appointment, you are so patient! I've read lots of stories where people didn't get a BFP on HPT until stupid dates like 6 weeks!

Lynsey14 · 07/01/2014 19:54

Still in midst of AF hell. It's come alongside first few days of a new job which has been GREAT! (/sarcasm)

I'll get ya next month you horrid cow!

CosyTeaBags · 07/01/2014 21:11

Latium ... how are you not going up the wall crazy? GP should have some answers....

I'm driving myself bonkers with symptom spotting. Today I'm crampy and feel all 'periody' and heavy down below - but it's 2 days before ERTD is due. I never get cramps before I'm due, always after it's started. So it's weird - but will probably just be another one to add to the list of 'things your body does to trick you before throwing the ERTD at you'

Off to look at the water thread now, great idea!

Latium123 · 07/01/2014 23:49

I am going a bit stir crazy, Cosy. And DH is away with work so only the dog to share it all with. Not googling lists of possible causes of missing ERTD at all!

Good luck with the new job Lynsey.

So true - our bodies are quite mean to us really.

DulcetMoans · 08/01/2014 09:12

I officially informed DH that I don't want to DTD any more this week. I'm too tired! Is that really bad? I just won't enjoy it and I would rather have the sleep at the moment. I am 5 days away from ERTD date so it's getting towards too late anyway. Not even sure I ov'd as no usual signs of that this month. We have DTD every other day for the whole cycle - been really good. That's 8 times so can't say we haven't tried! (although still not that magic 10 number...) But now we are back at work that is too much. I think he is secretly relieved!

Hope the doctor can shed some light on the situation latium!

Minion · 08/01/2014 09:43

I'm now reading latiums username as 'late I am'! Totally fitting dontcha think?
I've started the day off with a glass, so all good with that. It must have done something already as I went to bed with a slight headache and can only contribute it to that!

Actually, I have a quandary type question here... Merely hypothetical you understand. Indulge me if you will.
So, we all know after last months hopefulness (yeah, ok) ERTD decided to show up, well she's buggered off now and I'm ready to strike whilst the iron is hot, but I'm already starting to get OV symptoms. It started yesterday, tingly boobs, and I thought I was imagining it, as well as the worst back ache ever, but then I do suffer with a bad back anyhow.

We'll this morning boobs are getting sore already, that's not supposed to happen for at least a week if not 9 days, so, question is... Has this happened to anyone before, ie mega early? And if so, should I jump the husbands bones tonight?
I was kinda hoping for a stress free month seeing as I'm out of the way for ttcing, so I don't want to get excited or anything!

MissHobart · 08/01/2014 09:54

Minion - I'm in the same boat, mc was only for days long, finished on 31st, waiting now to see what happens, still dtd in hope but not expecting ov for another week at least, however I've got symptoms of AF/over. slight cramps, spots, the rage! Also ewcm, too early for either ov or AF?! OH and I on different shifts so not actually seeing each other till tomorrow night! Christ I hate all this bullshit! Hmm

MissHobart · 08/01/2014 09:55

I also keep imagining tingly nipples and convincing myself I had twins and only lost one, very deluded! Hmm

FurryScoob · 08/01/2014 10:05

minion get shagging, I had a random 3 week cycle last year, ov'd 2days after the end of ERTD. No idea why it happened & everything's been normal since.

Latium keeping my fingers crossed for you

Good luck to all you water drinkers, I drink gallons of the stuff & I would agree it helps EWCM, it also makes me pee so much which I always think is a symptom in the TWOT!

juniper81 · 08/01/2014 11:27

dulcet snap! Though we're at 7.5 goes as DH couldn't finish last night. Think I iced v late tho so not sure when ERTD will turn up if it does.

Go go minion!
