POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

In symptom spotting world today

Bloated, gassy, tinnitus, bacne, snotty, dizzy and hungry (the other 7 dwarves)

4 days to ERTD/POAS day and counting, all of my clothes have shrunk

Back in the day we could definitely go twice a day, pre-TTC twice a month was a good score!
Last year we tried to do the 'sex every day for a month' challenge - not for babies, just for fun! We managed four days in a row before DH cried off using 'chafing' as an excuse... I was so relieved!!

pre TTC we could go months without DTD. I think because there was a period of about 18months where I just couldn't because it was so painful useless dr never found out y so we learned to live without. now we're like "why didn't we do this more before?" lol

Strangely, we just worked out that the 9 times we've dtd this month was about a quarter of our usual annual average! DH not complaining but I am so not that into it after about go six. Lie back and think of booties

I am excited to see so many new folks on the thread, especially as we gear up to start a new one.

I am minutes away from ERTD. I mean that literally, she's coming and I know it and there's nothing I can do about it. DH is still cheerleading for this to be the month we beat the odds, our "Christmas miracle," rubbing my belly at night and everything. My god, his positivity used to be charming, but right now I just want to hit him. [hmm no bitch icon] I haven't told him yet that the sticky pink "stuff" we foolishly thought could have been a good sign has turned into full on red spotting. I think he figured it out when he saw the new box of tampons in my bag from the drugstore tonight.... Boo.

All my drugs for my second IVF cycle are on order. They are trying a different protocol called microflare, which involves more shots than last time. That's no big deal, the shots were easy compared to the waiting around for phone calls. But of course I Googled microflare and some sites say it's the "point of no return," basically the most aggressive treatment for women who respond poorly, and the last stop before egg donation. Christ. Way to bring a girl down. I feel like I'm broken. I guess that's how he felt when they came back and told us his sperm were misshapen.

ACK! Sorry I am bringing the thread down. Time to pour some wine and eat some cheese.

Twice a day, nessa?! Maybe way, way back in the day, but I am not sure even then I had that sort of energy!

You're not bringing it down Red - we all feel a bit like we're busted sometimes. It sounds like these doctors of yours know their stuff, so if they reckon the scary micro flare is your best bet, I'm sure that's the case The BFP is getting closer! Xx
