Come and join us on the brand new, rather fabulous, and very slightly notorious (or so we'd like to think!) JUST SHAGGING PART 19!!

Nessalina · 10/11/2013 00:46

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo
~~~~~~~
ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.
Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.
Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!
Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP
TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!
The link to Part 18 is here
The current Grads Fred is here
The rather nobbish article in which we become a little bit notorious is here Grin
Happy shagging shaggers!
I first heard about this thread in the rather nobbish article, thought you all sounded like my kinda people!
Hey lentil that's good to hear. His sneering didn't work!
So, the first thread hooya may need to be issued to me but...when's the earliest you can/could test? I'm about 6 or 7 dpo, when's the earliest I would see a positive if there was one? This week is going to drag by so slowly!
Report
thelentil · 10/11/2013 14:30
I think it detects a smaller percentage of pg's when you test early, so if you get BFN, it doesn't mean you're not pg
I mostly wait until a couple of days before AF due, usually on a Friday when I'm going out and want to know if j should be feeling guilty about having a couple of bottles glasses of wine
Good luck rach and welcome to the Fred.
I'd just like to express my first annoyance of the thread. Like lots of other families, mine have had their disagreements, but I thought after about 20 years of no contact with one family member, I thought I'd reach out and send a hi how are you doing message. I've never fallen out with this person but we just haven't been in contact because if the older generation's disagreements. Anyway, I sent the message and the person deleted the conversation. I'm just quite dismayed that someone can be so rude and also so arrogant. Maybe I should have expected it, but I just thought it would be nice to be in contact, not best buds or anything. I'm a bit shocked and pissed off tbh but well, that's that, I guess.
I never said how many children we have, because noone has asked and I totally get how seeing a big family around you can be upsetting and I didn't want to "rub your noses" in it, so to speak.
I still don't want to say it, as I really don't want anyone to be upset.
I do feel bad for not saying something earlier, but in the beginning it was relevant and later I felt that I can't just say it until someone asks directly.
so what shall I do?
ZingWantsGin · 10/11/2013 18:46
Thanks for the roll call update Quark, I've been mobile this afternoon on a hellish trip to IKEA!! I swear me & DH had three separate arguments about practically nothing, and he's still sulking now! Hmm
I'm a nosy cow, and as it's my fault the subject has arise in the first place, I'll ask: Zing! How many children do you have?!
If it makes you feel any better, if it's more than three already, then being as you have a new bun in the oven as well, I will feel more sympathy than envy! Wink
allright Ness, you are twisting my arm. here goes.
PFB is going to be number 7. we have 5 boys and a girl, DS1 is 12 y, DD is 18 months.
And to be honest I'm a bit scared...
(I really hope I'm not upsetting anyone in anyway.)
Zing that's amazing and no one should begrudge you trying, hope you get a pink one and even the numbers up a bit
DP and I discussed adoption with docs visit looming, he's not keen but would support me which may mean that pfb ends up being "mine" instead of "ours", not ideal
I'm sure it wouldn't upset anyone zing. That's amazing. You are very lucky but I know you know that already. I cheer lead on MN, only get affected if its RL people I know that get their BFP but I am much much better at being understanding now anyway. How did Mr Zing take the news anyway? Not sure we asked!!
Totally with you on the sheets thing rach! Perhaps you can do it on top of the bed instead, then still clean inside!
SA day tomorrow. It's been an odd house today, kind of talking about it but not saying anything specific. Plus he's been making sexy face all day. If he wasn't on a ban before the SA we would have been JSing all day!
