Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Hello all,

Hmmm i had no clue about the tooth paste, but have been on the children's tooth paste for months so i am sure its not as bad!

One question, which i should really know the answer to seeing as i am not a newbie, but is it possible to ovulate twice in a month!!

Bearfacedchic · 05/01/2014 19:49

Sorry no idea Cookie. Have you tried Dr Goofle?

MooMa1d · 05/01/2014 20:32

Cookie I think you can if you perhaps have shorter cycles?

cookielove · 05/01/2014 20:49

Bear i did try the Dr Wink it said you can ovulate/produce two eggs within 24hrs but not at seperate times. I thought i ovulated a week ago but got positive OPK's also felt like i did on Thursday!!

lil1ady · 05/01/2014 21:14

cookie it sounds like delayed ovulation. your body gears up for it, lh surge etc but it doesn't happen. then it tries again. could be stress? there are lots of reasons/causes but I think when it happened to me it was stress related.

I'm living the influx of newbies, maybe its a sign us oldies are about to graduate deluded I know but a girl can dream!

lil1ady · 05/01/2014 21:15

that would be loving nor living!

lil1ady · 05/01/2014 21:15

ok so I can't type but you get the gist!

DulcetMoans · 05/01/2014 21:18

Liking your dream lil.

I've had two smilies a few times in a cycle - usually first week after ERTD and 10 days before next one. No idea why! Not now I'm JSing though of course... In a previous TTC life.

Minion · 05/01/2014 21:19

Had delayed ovulation once... Was gutted when it showed up as I was thousands of miles away in Florida and the husband was at home. Thought we'd timed it correctly and everything, couple that with that being one of the only 2 times I've ever had EWCM, we'll miffed was an understatement.

This month is a no TTC, no stress month! As of tomorrow he will be away till weds and I'll be away this sun to sat on a weeks sales awards course, just when I'm icing.
So sods laws means I will get EWCM, probably have a textbook ovulation and have a perfectly ripe healthy egg just waiting for a friend to pay a visit!

Sod's law indeed.

Ringing docs tomorrow for us both, I've given him no choice. He's going if he likes it or not. I'm bored of doing nothing about it. I'm about to get proactive on his butt!

cookielove · 05/01/2014 21:26

Well none of it really matters as dh has put his foot down with ttc till we get the results, which it is 7 weeks tomorrow!! So even though we dtd he's hoping we got away with it

There are lots and lots of newbies on this thread!

Northernexile · 05/01/2014 21:30

Can I join please? I'm 32, have 1 DD (nearly 2) and started TTC #2 last month, so on second cycle, I think. Got upduffed immediately last time, but I think Cerazette has messed up my insides, and am thoroughly expecting it to take ages this time.

CosyTeaBags · 05/01/2014 23:00

Welcome Northern

OK ladies I need you to talk some sense into me... I POAS this morning, I'm 10-12 DPO. I was a bit confused by the result and wondered whether anyone could advise.

It was an internet cheapie, you know the tiny flimsy little strips with no plastic surround etc. The control line appeared but then there was a fuzzy build up of pink right around the bit where the flimsy plastic joins the test strip bit... does anyone know what I'm talking about? So for a while there were definitely 2 lines. Then I went a bit crazy 'thorough' and pulled it apart and sort of smooshed it, and the pink fuzzy 'line' disappeared.

So - was this just a build up of wee around that border between flimsy plastic and test strip... or.. was it.. something else?

CosyTeaBags · 05/01/2014 23:03

It basically looked exactly like this one:

www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=41273

This is not my picture, just found it on my new favourite website canyouseealine.com aka POASaddicts.com ...

MooMa1d · 05/01/2014 23:05

Cosy can't help as not used those but made me smile at the thought of a build up of wee around the border..... childish I know but isn't it weird that with all these technological/medical advances we still have to POAS to find out if we're pregnant!

Can you take another one - perhaps you may have peed a bit vigorously and 'drowned' it

CosyTeaBags · 05/01/2014 23:07

It's pathetic isn't it.. who'd have thought I'd be discussing a build up of wee around a bit of plastic to a bunch of strangers on 'tinternet!

MooMa1d · 05/01/2014 23:08

It's not pathetic - can you imagine having this convo with Mum/Sister/Friend/Insert person here. Would rather discuss it with you lot!

DulcetMoans · 05/01/2014 23:09

Welcome northern, pull up a beanbag!

cosy - hoping it is for you but I'm
Not sure that line is in the right place. I think the panel to the left is where the line should be. That's more on edge. Not an expert though, I have these but never seen a second line. Do another first thing!! Fx!

CosyTeaBags · 05/01/2014 23:10

What is more pathetic is that I'm hoping someone will come on here and say "Yes, it sounds like you're pregnant" based on my pathetic description of a bit of plastic and wee... rather than based on, you know... science or anything sensible like that.

I of course know that the only answer is to POAS again tomorrow....

CosyTeaBags · 05/01/2014 23:12

I think you're right Dulcet I think it was just 'backlog' of wee... I didnt get too excited about it for that reason.

Major MAJOR Hooya needed!!!!

MooMa1d · 05/01/2014 23:12

Well I could tell you you're pregnant Confused but I suspect I'd be talking outta me arse!

Noodles32 · 05/01/2014 23:12

Hi Northernexile,

I'm in pretty much the same boat. I'm also 32, I've been on Cerazette for the last 4 years, I came off when we started TTC in Aug 13.
I have 2 other kids which both times I fell instantly but this time round it seems to be taking a while.
My doc said it can take up to a year to get a regular cycle, mine came back straight away (I took this as a good sign) & now nothing !

To be honest don't no if its down to the pill, or now being that little bit older & fatter Lol

Don't want to stress about it, but I do kinda feel like time is running out ( Mr Noodles an I have a bit of an age gap)
Sound desperate don't I ??

Bearfacedchic · 05/01/2014 23:13

Good luck Cosy for tomorrow's Poas action!

CosyTeaBags · 05/01/2014 23:15

I think I'm just distracting myself from tomorrow's real stresser - DP is going for his SA... AAAAAARGH

Noodles32 · 05/01/2014 23:18

Fingers crossed for you Cosy - can you not pop out now to get a clear blue ???

Otherwise your be thinking about it all night.
Or is that being a little bit extra ?

CosyTeaBags · 05/01/2014 23:20

I have a 'normal' superdrug HPT that I'm saving for when I really think I could be PG, as opposed to when I'm just testing for no reason, like now!

I'll do another of my internet cheapies tomorrow and try not to fiddle with it as much...
