Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Sounds like a plan, Fingers crossed xx

Nessalina · 06/01/2014 01:05

Evenin' all!
I'm sorry to be the voice of reason Cosy, but I'm pretty sure the only sensitive part of the test is the zone after the plastic. On the picture you posted you'd expect to see a faint second line about midway between the two darker lines, sort of underneath the bit of T-shaped light twig! I actually think I can see a v.v.faint one on that test!
However, all is not lost, keeping all fx for a BFP for you tomorrow! Smile

Nessalina · 06/01/2014 01:08

That's such a fun site actually - you can invert the colours and see them greyscale to help see a line! Maybe you should take a pic of yours and post on there Cosy! Grin

Ohh dear gawd, why oh why did I click on that link? I'm addicted!
Arrrghhhhh
Welcome new folks.
So, today is officially the most depressing day of the year apparently.
How will you be 'celebrating' it?
I'm hiding in my pjs watching x files I reckon... That's if work don't have any use for me. I'm on standby for 4 long days... Not fun!

Nessalina · 06/01/2014 07:56

I got the 9 season X-files box set for Xmas - bliss! Grin I Envy Mulder!

OP posts:
Minion · 06/01/2014 08:59

Brill. I just bought it after seeing it for £50 on here! MmmmmmmMulder

CosyTeaBags · 06/01/2014 09:09

Thanks all for the voices of reason - I POAS again today, and had the same thing - no line on the sensitive bit of the test so I think it was just wishful thinking.

Hmm what to do today?... I'm travelling 2.5 hours to go with DP for his sperm test. Nervous, and very, very scared about the results, which will come on Weds or thurs.....

Make the most of the day off those of you that have one!

hd19 · 06/01/2014 20:09

Hey,
Can I add to the list of newbies?!
I'm 31, have one ds(nearly2) and have been ttc since Sept.
I've not done the whole forum thing before but a, going slightly stir crazy as we're not telling anyone about ttc!

CosyTeaBags · 06/01/2014 22:35

Hi hd welcome to the thread, it definitely helps to 'talk' about ttc to like minded people!

Which brings me to needing to tell everyone my news!!!!! My DP had a vasectomy reversal last year. It was a very difficult time for us, we briefly split up over the issue, but decided to try it. I had to accept that it may not be successful, but I love him and accepted that I would be with him no matter what the outcome, even if that meant us being infertile..... it has been very difficult to come to terms with. All I wished for was to be a normal couple trying to conceive.

Today we went for the sperm analysis. I wasn't expecting the results until Wednesday, but on arriving home, there was an email waiting for me from the clinic.

The clinic told us that the results are "fantastic"!!! DP has a higher than average sperm count and motility, higher than the average expected in a 'normal' person!

I am utterly flabbergasted, stunned and elated! Needless to say, there was a lot of blubbing and a bit of bubbly tonight!!!!

POAS news - tried again this morning, same result, just a bit of residual wee getting stuck in the plastic - definitely a BFN.

But... we're NORMAL!!!!!!!

MooMa1d · 06/01/2014 22:38

YAY!!!!!!!!!! Good bit of news Grin

DulcetMoans · 06/01/2014 22:38

Haha. Great news cosy! My DH got 'normal - no action' so will be very jealous knowing there is the possibility of a 'fantastic' result!

Welcome hd, get stuck in and share whatever you like!

DulcetMoans · 06/01/2014 22:39

How far through x files did you get minion? Sounded like a great way to spend the horrible day!

Minion · 06/01/2014 22:47

dulcet I got horribly sidetracked with revision so only managed 3 episodes, but I'm on standby for 3 more days and can see me filling those up nicely!
Have called the doc, appointment on the 20th as neither of us are free for the next two weeksish.
What questions should we be asking? Pushing for? Etc
I really don't want to be fobbed off,,,
Help shagger in need...

CosyTeaBags · 06/01/2014 22:57

Thanks everyone Grin can't tell you how relieved we both are!

As for 'Fantastic'.. I think that may be because it was the VR surgeon giving us the results, so he is bound to be pleased with his handiwork! Looks good on his results tally so he's going to be happy - good results = good PR for him!

I'm sure 'normal' docs wouldn't get quite so excited!

Minion is this the first contact you've had with your GP re TTC? (sorry if I'm out of touch with your back story). If so, just tell them how long you've been ttc and any issues. THey'll refer you both for tests - blood tests for you, sa for him, I'm guessing. I've bypassed this with DP of course, but I've had the usual blood tests with my GP. They won't do anything until they've checked out the basics first. Good luck!

lil1ady · 06/01/2014 22:57

yay cosy that's wonderful news!

minion I'm glad u asked that qn. dh needs to book his sa but I darent remind him now, he's had a day from hell.

I booked my day 21 test today, booked for next Monday. except I can't remember the time...I could be an hour early or an hour late so will have to call and check. oops Grin

Noodles32 · 06/01/2014 22:57

Great News Cosy

Really happy for you both xx

CosyTeaBags · 06/01/2014 23:03

Well I'm now an expert on SA Grin

We did have a laugh when the nurse came to call him in, 'Mr Cosy COME this way please" Aaaaargh!!

He said it was.... awkward...!

Minion · 06/01/2014 23:08

Yep cosy I'm officially one year of JSing to TTC so off to old docs I go. I'm a bit nervous about the bombshell he will drop. I say a bit, I mean I'm shitting bricks.

CosyTeaBags · 06/01/2014 23:16

Don't worry Minion there will be no bombshell yet - GP will just refer you for the usual tests, to check that all is working normally.

If you think positively, this is the beginning of sorting things out (if there's anything to sort out), it can only get better. And don't give up on TTC, 1 year really isn't that long.

It really brought it home for me when I filled in the probably contraband Fertility Friends chart - showing when I had EWCM compared to when I JSed... there were actually only a few months out of six that I could possibly have conceived by Jsing on the 'right' days... it's so easy to miss that magic few days. So out of 1 year, I bet there were plenty of months where the timing was off.. so suddenly you start to realize that it's not that long at all to be ttcing....

Does that make any sense? I'm on a high after today, so feeling unusually optimistic!

BTW - I've been feeding DP avocado, sweet potato and fish lots, as the surgeon recommended them as part of the 'good sperm diet'... can't have hurt, given today's result! I'll copy the link for people if they're interested.

CosyTeaBags · 06/01/2014 23:18

As for shitting bricks... I know that feeling... been like that all day. Nearly passed out when the results came this evening...it's all so bloody emotive this stuff isn't it!

Latium123 · 06/01/2014 23:18

Fab news cosy and it's good you didn't have to wait long for the results. Love that "come" this way.

Still no ertd for me and confess to some symptom spotting - metallic taste in mouth for sure. New toothpaste??? Might break my own rule and poas tomorrow rather than wait to weekend.

Welcome new ladies.

Nessalina · 07/01/2014 00:25

Great news Cosy Grin Is that like the man version of a BFP?! One less thing to worry about eh? Awesome.

Cosy's right Minion - you and your OH have one of the more punishing TTC schedules considering you're up in the when you should have your legs up in the air half the time Wink It is a massive bummer that it's a year now, but it'll probably turn out you don't have any 'ishoos' - just sperm not getting chance to meet egg enough maybe? Fx for you anyway - I know I'd be bricking it too xx

My body is freaking me out viroids. TMI coming up, but need to vent and share the weird!!

Sooo... I think I OV'd on Xmas Eve, due on Saturday (12dpo) and started spotting Sunday, so declared myself out. Spotting was all dark brown CM rather than red blood. Today nothing on my pad this morning, and same dark CM when wiping (bleurgh, sorry!). Started thinking - OMG what if it isn't AF, what if it's implantation bleeding?! Then seemed to get a little heavier, but still way lighter than usual day 2, only one green tampax which did a full 8hours and wasn't 'full'... and this evening it's tailed off. Just some thick brown/red CM. Confused!!!! Blush

Obviously I'm willing with all my might that it's implantation bleeding, but I'm also massively worried that the termination* may have buggered something up and my uterus is doomed forever. Can someone give me a hooya for melodrama please?! Confused

Sorry for epic post Blush

  • for those new to the thread, in early November I had a medical miscarriage due to our much-wanted baby girl having a chromosomal abnormality. I was 16 weeks on and it was my first pregnancy, so I'm back in at the first hurdle.
OP posts:
Waggamamma · 07/01/2014 07:56

hi ness I'm still lurking around in the background and just wanted to reply to your last post. My af is usually really heavy and gruesome but my last one before bfp was really like and jist like pink/brown cm and lasted three days. I even went to doc about it, she just said sometimes our bodies suprise us and do weird things. It's most likely nothing to worry about but if you are worried pop along to the docs. it can take your body a while to settle back to usual after a loss.

Congratulations on the sa results cosy must be a huge weight off your mind Smile .

I'm doing ok just trying not to go crazy with every twinge/symptom or lack of! I've booked an early scan privately for 1st Feb when I should be 8 weeks.

Minion · 07/01/2014 09:37

A very positive Hooya winging its way to nessa! I've got my fingers crossed for you and your tmi haha xx

cosy what you and nessa have just said, was not only very kind but also very right! We do have months where I've been abroad so yes, not able to catch the pigeon, so to speak, and yep ditto for when I'm in the air, instead of my legs!

I think with me I've only had 2 months where EWCM has shown her face, I don't drink hardly anything so from today will be guzzling water like it's becoming extinct, as apparently and more obviously, it's to do with the bodies hydration. I mean, I've produced it before, no reason I can't again.
And I seem to ovulate, hell I get every OV symptom going, no chance that after all the tingly breadsticks, stitch like pain and bloating, that I'm not actually managing it!

Yes, you are all right, it's so easy to be positive for other people, but I've got to cut myself some slack and send some PMA my way too!

Oh, and latium pee peee peeeeee!
