Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

a truth / yoni. why do you change your name?

Falliwalli77 · 08/11/2013 20:53

Hi everyone, so thought I would update you. My AF arrived with avengence on the 29th. :( I was really upset at first but have now turned it into a positive, I can now chart exactly were I am. I am meant to be ovulating this week and it just so happens that me and hubby are off work so wish us luck! :D

Toothpastekissesno2 · 08/11/2013 21:05

Hi metal head! Nice to hear from you. I hope this is a lucky cycle for u and if not lots of Christmas cocktails.
Donna that's really shit! Agree with others but sounds like u have got a better result on the phone.
Living in London u never see the same midwife twice! I envy you with your midwife for life! The whole process was very anonymous with ds so not expecting much more this time.
My best friend came round today and giessed! So weird as I didn't think I had given anything away but she said there was the odd comment and she just knows me too well! So our well guarded secret is now shared. Though she won't tell anyone! Ds being sick and upset all day has left me on my knees with exhaustion! A sign of what's to come?!
Having cramps in my actual dooda...is that weird? Anyone else had that in pg?! The anxiety continues!
Hungry I think this might be better so u can now get through af and start the next month - which I reckon will be your month!
A truth your name change thing makes me laugh!! X

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 08/11/2013 21:31

The Yoni name was supposed to just be a one off for a thread I didn't want linked to my usual. Screwed that up though didn't I?! I think I've changed back properly now Grin

TheBookofRuth · 08/11/2013 22:53

Ok, ok I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot, but I'm on day 20 of my cycle, I've gone off booze, and I'm sitting here feeling so nauseous and like I'm on the verge of throwing up any second.

It means nothing, right? RIGHT??!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 08/11/2013 22:55

You're in the right place Grin

TheBookofRuth · 08/11/2013 23:41

I was on the last thread too - talking about how I wasn't going to let TTC make me crazy this time!

HungryHorace · 09/11/2013 09:24

Morning! ATruth, no I'm not BF and haven't been for 4 months as it just didn't quite work. :-/

DD slept well last night in the travel cot, although she was whimpering with teething pain. Only woke for about 15 mins in 9.5 hours. Best night yet!

Just to really confuse matters, I don't think this is AF now as it ended up being very light and came to nothing. WTF cycle continues. As do the weird dreams!

I give up.

I'm in the north west and barely saw the same person twice, so it's not just London.

And Ruth, TTC = madness. End of!

Falli, sorry AF got you but glad you're using it as a positive.

ATruth, I'm assuming our meet is off? We're heading into Windermere soon though if you fancy it.

And you can use a tick box to keep changing your name below where we post. I use it on my postnatal thread as I was outed by MiL under that name, so only use it on that thread still. :-)

OP posts:
Windywinston · 09/11/2013 10:34

What I'd give to be in Windermere today.
I'm still here and still mumpy. Just about to drag my sorry behind out of bed to do some housework as my sister is staying over tonight.

DH and DD have gone out to the shops to give me some peace. I feel like such a bad mum this week as all I can do is work or sleep. I've been sent home from work now with strict instructions not to go back until I'm all better, but that just means I'm sleeping loads :-(

I'm starting to get really worried about the scan on Monday but I must try to stay positive. I was like this last time and had no reason to think there would be anything wrong, I'm just a worrier.

Hoping you all have fabulous weekends xx

mrsm22 · 09/11/2013 11:14

Hi everyone,
Hungry - Lucky you in the lakes! My fave place in the whole world! If you are nearby, in Windermere take a look at Langdale Chase hotel which is where I got married in July 2011! We will go back to the lakes one day as I'd like to take my DS to the world of Beatrix Potter. Perhaps we could then all meet up for a weekend with out children. Have a lovely time Hungry and let me know what you get up to. I'm very jealous. I love it there. Where are you staying?
Hi Donna - I am waiting like you for my scan date. I think she's sent stuff off to the hospital to request my scan and they'll write with a date. Ours should be around the same time. Shame it's not the same hospital.
Windy - how are you feeling? Try stay positive for Monday, I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about. Like you, I'm a big worrier too so know what it's like. I'm really scared until I've had that 12 week scan and also the first bloodtest which I'm having at the same time as my scan and the Down syndrome test terrifies me too!
ATruth - I was wondering who Yoni was and it never twigged! I thought we'd been hijacked. How are you? Are you meeting Hungry?

HungryHorace · 09/11/2013 11:39

God, yes, that worry is unreal. But I'm a worrier and worried throughout the whole pregnancy, especially when I bled at 20 and 24 weeks. I don't enjoy pregnancy as such because I worry!

It's lovely up here today, Mrs. Where is Langdale Chase? We're by the lake now.

I think I'm going to have to buy some pregnancy tests to see if I am pregnant as this bleeding has just vanished. I'm scared though. What happens if I am and I've used tampons? That must happen with people who have periods during pregnancy before they know, I'm sure?

I'm glad your DH is looking after you, Windy. You need the rest, so don't feel guilty.

What's everyone else up to this weekend?

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 09/11/2013 11:41

Oh, our Trust is so different to everyone else's. We get our booking in appt and scan appt in the same envelope after your GP has referred you. Interesting how it varies, isn't it?

OP posts:
donnas1984 · 09/11/2013 12:42

Hungry we don't even see a gp we call gp surgery and book in with mw think as its a second baby ill get 5 mw apts and 2 scans. Not much! pre natal care is pretty rubbish here. I had pnd with dd due to mw bullies making me feel inadequate as a mother because dd would latch therefore bottle fed her! Stronger willed this time round though!

HungryHorace · 09/11/2013 12:49

I say GP, it's actually the nurse you see at our surgery who faxes a form to the community midwives' office.

I'd forgotten I'd get fewer appointments next time round. Can't remember the schedule of them either.

Have to wait for my booking in. When I finally get a positive test.

Far less blood today than any other day so far.

Sweepstake as to when AF / BFP will show?!

And that's harsh, Donna. My MWs were really supportive about me swapping to bottles after 2 weeks. I'd have had PND if I'd kept trying to bf, I think.

Do you feel more confident this time round, I think I'll combi feed from the get go. And trust my own judgment as to what will and won't work.

OP posts:
donnas1984 · 09/11/2013 12:59

I was very naive first time round, this time I will know better. Hope you get your bfp soon hungry x

HungryHorace · 09/11/2013 14:08

Just got a 3 for 2 box of FRER so will test tonight in the morning. :-)

donnas1984 · 09/11/2013 15:50

Good luckGrin Grin

mrsm22 · 09/11/2013 17:26

Hi Hungry , yes good luck for the morning if you plan to test then. Your bleeding has been very strange, it's hard to pinpoint the reason but let's hope it is the reason we want! It's been a really wet and damp miserable day here today in lovely Leeds. Not done much really but took DS round to see my mum and dad. DH works tonight so we are on our own. I can't think how to explain where Langdale is but it overlooks Lake Windermere.
Donna - your surgery sounds the same as mine . I rang and booked an appointment with the midwife but I booked to see the gp too. My next appointment with the midwife is not til 18th December at 15 weeks and that's to discuss my scan and she said she's have my blood test results by then too. Then it's Xmas . I think there might be more appointments with your first although don't know for definite. As I've not been at work this week, I'm a bit worried I won't get into my work / office trousers next week . I couldn't fasten them up properly the week before last.

mrsm22 · 09/11/2013 19:06

Hungry - I think Langdale chase is on Ambleside Road if that helps. Have you and ATruth not met up?

HungryHorace · 09/11/2013 19:26

No, we haven't met up, sadly.

Tested when we got back. Negative. So EOD commences until either BFP or AF!

I'll see if we go near the hotel, Mrs. :-)

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 09/11/2013 21:39

Hey Hungry - I'm sorry. I completely forgot you were up this weekend. Have just sent you a msg on FB.

Just catching up on the rest of the thread...

HungryHorace · 09/11/2013 22:32

Hi ATruth

Only have GPRS in the hotel and Facebook won't work with it.

The answer is yes, it'd be lovely. I'll have more signal after 11am tomorrow.

Don't suppose you can chill some boiled water for us for making up DD's feeds can you? Our supply won't last that long and no fridge in the hotel! :-)

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 09/11/2013 23:04

Cool. We're off to a remembrance service in the morning and will probably be free in the afternoon (though my mum is threatening to steal DS off us so we can both get some work done, which would mean that we couldn't meet as I'd need to take advantage of the babysitting) so I'll pm you my phone number.

If we do meet of course I'll bring you some cooled boiled water, but will the hotel really not do that for you?! What meanies!!!

Oh, your DD is probably too young, but did you know Thomas is at Haverthwaite railway tomorrow? That's really near Newby Bridge if you wanted to check it out.

lelly78 · 10/11/2013 03:12

Well hello ladies, sorry not to find any more bfps, and sorry to be so awol Sad I knew I have no time! DS is suffering sep anxiety big style at the moWink resulting in night screaming so am trying a new tactic of holding him to sleep for longer... I am About to try putting him down Confused

HungryHorace · 10/11/2013 08:11

ATruth, I've just messaged you on Facebook as downstairs in the hotel has wifi. :-)

Woke up boiling last night. Not sure if I had a crazy dream again. The nights all merge into one! And the bleeding appears to have stopped as for the first time in a week there's not even the faintest sign even on wiping.

I'll test again with my cheapy tests later tomorrow with FMU.

How is everyone?
