Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Sorry Hungry Angry is it definitely AF now do you think?
AF has just got me. A day early too, so no idea what is going on there, I have always been as regular as clockwork. I guess my hunch was right but I can't help but feel devastated. We did everything right this month, so I can't understand why it didn't work. I feel awful feeling like this in front of my DD while she's running around being all lovely and funny. I'll be heading out to buy some wine and chocolate later I think. I think the stress of it all is not doing me any good, which is probably why AF got me early too? It's so hard to not get stressed out though!!
Anyway what are everyones plan for today? Anything nice?

mrsm22 · 03/11/2013 11:31

Good morning ladies, how is everyone?
Hungry - any more bleeding?
Engels - how are you feeling? It must be really hard. Please feel free to talk to is on here if you need to or think it might help. I'm seeing the midwife for the first time on weds and I'm nervous, just want to know everything is ok. x

mrsm22 · 03/11/2013 11:38

Sorry I completely missed your posts this morning Hungry and Lucy.
Lucy- I'm sorry you got AF. Definitely treat yourself to something nice today to cheer yourself up. It's Wful when you want something so bad. Wait for AF to finish and then just get DTD as much as possible. It will happen and still a good chance for all on here before Xmas. I have confidence. X
Hungry - you'd have been better with a pad to monitor the bold rather than a tampon . Do you feel like you're on a period? My bleed was weird, it started the Friday evening and then just tiny spotting Saturday and Sunday.

HungryHorace · 03/11/2013 12:05

I'm sorry, Lucy, that's crap. And don't worry about how you feel, it's to be expected.

Mrs, it's all a bit weird as after looking like more this morning it has now gone down to almost nothing.

My sister has give me a pad, as I know you can't use tampons if you're pregnant, so wouldn't risk it. But I'm 170 miles from home and the shops were shut! Sorted now though.

And no, my right ovary aches, but I don't feel periody at all.

How are you today, mrs?

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 03/11/2013 12:07

Oh, and I was transported back about 20 years as I ended up using loo roll in my knickers as a stop gap. Classy!

OP posts:
CallingAllEngels · 03/11/2013 12:53

lucy I know the feeling well. Try not to be too hard on yourself. Easy to say but try and forget about it for a few days - now is the perfect time for a bottle of wine, medium rare steak for dinner and smoked salmon for brekkie tomorrow. And it means another month just enjoying you DD. I wnet out for dinner on Friday night and took gret0at joy in a glass of prosecco and a juicy steak!

mrs good luck with your mw appt. How many weeks are you now? Physically I'm feeling fine now, but emotionally my head is a bit all over the place. Just want some closure and to move on. Spoke to mw on Thurs night to let them know how I got on and they said next time make sure I register asap and they'll book me in for an early scan.

Hungry - keeping my fx!

CallingAllEngels · 03/11/2013 12:59

And Grin at loo roll hungry !

We went for a short walk to playground this morning - it was lovely. Sunny and windy, lots of trees and leaves everywhere. Then popped to ILs for coffee on way back. Chucking it down atm. DS and DH both sleeping. Have just tidied up downstairs as some friends are coming over in a bit with their 23 mo to play. Split pea soup started on the hob. Lazy Sunday.

lucyjojo · 03/11/2013 15:40

Thanks guys for all the nice words. I think I actually felt worse yesterday when I knew it was on its way. Once AFs here, it's a bit easier to just deal with it and move on. I actually feel like I can take a deep breath and not feel stressed about it right now as there is no wondering am I/aren't I at the moment. I have just had mcdonalds for lunch Shock naughty comfort food, bought a bottle of red for tonight and some chocolate. I have also had two cups of coffee, some coke with lunch and now a cup of tea, to hell with too much caffeine! I'm definitely abusing the treats!!! I have just bought some IC opks too, think I might try the SMEP plan this month, anyone got any experience/tips? I'm also going to have a stern talking to myself that it's ok to have a longer age gap than I wanted, and that you cannot plan when you want a baby to be born!!!
Hungry there is some strange goings on with you!!! Bet you can't wait for it to be tomorrow morning already. But it maybe is sounding hopeful for you? Looks like it was meant to be your turn after all!

Engels I'm sorry to go on about how rubbish I feel, it must be so hard for you. Glad you're enjoying some contraband too though! Nice that the midwives are on your side, really really hope for you it all gets sorted out soon, living in limbo land with no control over what is happening is just horrible. I'm glad it's nearly christmas though and we can all put our minds to something else for a little bit and enjoy ourselves.
mrs very excited for your midwife app! Yes, how many weeks are you now?

HungryHorace · 03/11/2013 15:43

Sounds like a lovely day, Engels. Apart from the weather.

And it's good your midwife is looking after you and will scan you early next time. Is healthcare free in Holland?

My bleeding is now barely there. All very odd. What's more weird though is that my brother in law - without knowing we're TTC - told me I'm pregnant just now. Bizarre!

Time will tell, I suppose. :-)

OP posts:
CallingAllEngels · 03/11/2013 17:34

Maybe he's psychic hungry !

lucy nothing to apologise for. I am currently enjoying a nice glass of Wine Have told another friend today. Makes it feel good to talk about it and let people know actually. When I had my first mc no one knew we were ttc except my best friend (who lives the other side of the world so not always readily available as a shoulder to cry on). This time my ILs know (they looked after ds for us when I was a t hospital) and have told my mum, one of my dsis (the other one is away travelling atm so not easily reachable), and now 4 of my friends. Also told my boss via email on Friday (have to get leave for this week).

Health care is free if you really have no money, but otherwise everyone is expected to have health insurance. I pay just over £100 per month. Visiting GP is free, mw covered. There is a certain amount of excess which I never normally reach. Will probably end up paying something for the last few visits, but no more than my excess. (A couple of bundred euros)

The post natal care is amazing. We went to a birth centre (free) and then had a doula from 8 till4 ish for a week after ds was born - she helped me with bf, ds, did all washing, washin-up, made me brekkie and lunch. We only had to pay a small amount (I think €200) and the rest was covered by insurance.

Toothpastekissesno2 · 03/11/2013 18:32

Hi everyone. Just getting ds bed. Both tired! Been having a few twinges and feeling bit anxious. Going to do another test just to make sure though I know that doesn't tell u much.
Hungry u sound like you're still in the game. I had quite a heavy bleed with ds - enough to use tampax and go and get drunk for my bday! It last about 12 hours and then disappeared. I took a test two days later and got the bfp. I know it's silly getting hopes up too much but it can happen if the bleed stops.
Sorry about af Lucy. Enjoy the wine! It won't be long before that's on hold for a while I'm sure x

HungryHorace · 03/11/2013 18:37

I got really anxious with twinges last time, Toothpaste. It's bloody scary being pregnant, isn't it?

I'm feeling crampy now, so god knows what's happening. On the way up the motorway though, so can't keep going to the loo and checking.

It seems that the 'textbook' description of implantation bleeding doesn't match up to real life experiences as they seem to write heavy bleeding off as not implantation. Or red blood! This doesn't look like period blood as it's thinner, if that makes sense? Think I'll try POAS when I get home, though doubt an evening test will tell me much, but can't wait til tomorrow!

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 03/11/2013 19:42

Negative POAS result, but to be expected at 10 DPO in the evening really! See what tomorrow morning brings.

Still dark blood on wiping, but the towel has just a dark brown smear on it. This is awful! Talk about limbo. :-/

Kt1991 · 03/11/2013 20:08

Sorry that AF got you too lucy mine stopped yesterday, but now DH has gone we managed a quickie this morning, but will have to wait until Friday now! Hope things sort themselves out soon calling hope you had a nice afternoon with your friend and DC. hungry fingers crossed that you can get a BFP out of this! Bodies do the strangest things with the amount of blood you can get?! Not long till your apt now mrs make sure you keep us updated [smiles] sorry to feel your feeling anxious toothpaste thats the worst bit about early pregnancy, and not showing e.t.c! Hope you’ve all had a nice weekend anyway!

lucyjojo · 03/11/2013 21:01

Thanks KT, glad you are back on track now for bd'ing!! Although shame your DH is away til friday, that's a long few days to be on your own with a LO to look after! Hope you've got some nice things planned? It won't be peak timing until he's home anyway will it, so you shouldn't worry about that, and you know what they say about absence makes the heart grow fonder, you won't be able to keep your hands off each other when he gets home!! Wink
I've only just put DD to bed, she stayed awake a bit longer tonight to keep me company, we've been dancing around the living room! We should be so grateful really that we already have one wonderful DC.
Hmm Hungry, I suppose it would be a bfn at this hour wouldn't it, hope you actually get some sleep tonight in anticipation! Limbo is awful isn't it!
Toothpaste the wine is flowing well!! Don't worry about the twinges, it's normal to get pains and cramps in early pregnancy isn't it, I used to get awful cramps like period pain, and if I ever worried Dr Google reassured me its a normal symptom, it just means everything is making way and preparing itself.
Engels your postnatal care does sound wonderful, it would be so nice if every country did that, I bet it made such a difference to the first few days for you, especially if DH has to go back to work.

Kt1991 · 03/11/2013 21:07

Thanks lucy Yep I don’t like being on my own just in the evenings when he gets in later, so apart from work and seeing family, going to try keep us occupied! DS has already had a cry about daddy not being here, so I hope he’s not gonna be like this the whole week! Nope thankfully we wont miss ovulation week thank god! Last time he went away literally jumped on him soon as he got in the door lol. Thats nice that you got to spend a bit longer up with your DD, me and DS did exactly this last week, they sure know how to keep you entertained! And we are very lucky indeed Smile

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 03/11/2013 21:30

Mrsm - I drove past Langdale Chase today and thought of you.

Loving the sound of Dutch healthcare and doulas Engels. Whereabouts in the Netherlands are you? I did part of my degree there.

Sorry you're so confused Hungry - I hope you get some confirmation soon.

Toothpaste - I had period pain like twinges for the first few weeks of my pregnancies - perfectly normal.

I'm only about 5dpo but symptom spotting like mad. Arrrghhh. I've lost my appetite, have a splitting headache and feel a bit queasy. I had none of these with my other pregnancies so I suspect it's just a little bug, but can't help it Grin

HungryHorace · 04/11/2013 06:48

Hmmm...negative test again today and there's little bits in the blood now too, so I think I'm out. :-/

Wondering when to count as first day of AF as it's still not proper flow.

It's swimming today too, so I'll have to wear a tampon for that.

Quite upset after all the effort we put in.

Pregnacare did this to me last time I took it. God knows what doesn't agree with me.

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 04/11/2013 07:05

Oh hungry. I'm sorry Sad

mrsm22 · 04/11/2013 07:57

Good morning all, really sorry I didn't post yesterday much. The sun cake out here although still chilly and we took DS out to Temple Newsham. Not sure if any of you know it but it's a big park with a farm to go round and see animals like donkeys and pigs etc and nice playground. There was a big real life tractor and DS had a sit in it turning the wheel etc and loved it. We have been quite a few times but it's a nice place to go. I'm finding by early evening I'm just tired out and ready for bed when DS is. How is everyone feeling today?
ATruth - Thank you for thinking of me as you went passed Langdale . It's a beautiful place and I am really glad we got married there. Will have to go back again and visit and then can definitely meet up with you.
Lucy - I'm glad you indulged yourself over the weekend. I think this week I'm 8 weeks roughly. The doctor thinks so and thinks I got pregnant about a week after stopping the pill. I'm hoping the midwife is a bit better on weds and actually works out my due date unlike the doctor who didn't bother. My appointment is 3.40 pm on weds. I'll let you all know when I've been.
Hungry - I'm not sure what to say. The bleed is strange but you're right about the implantation bleed, both that is had are very different to how text books and internet describe it. As with most things. Any bleeding now? I think you'll have to give it a few more days and poas again unless you've definitely got AF. I kept testing, remember I got faint line, bfn and then BFP!
Kt - I hope you're feeling better and sorry your DH is away but you can start to DTD when he is back. I don't like it when my DH works through the night.
Lucy - my DS has just this last week started watching in the night garden and really loves it, it's such a strange thing I think but he dances to the music. He loves to dance too.
Where is Stacks - she has her early scan today. I am thinking of you Stacks and hope it goes well today.
Toothpaste - it's hard not to be anxious at this early stage, I'm the same and wish I could fast forward my scan.
Engels - your healthcare over there sounds really good. I reckon I'm about 8 weeks.

HungryHorace · 04/11/2013 08:10

Mrs, it's still not full AF flow, no. The panty liner I put on at about 2.30 was clean 3 hours later, but there was blood on wiping, which is what had the bits. Still don't feel periody either. It's all so bloody weird. It's the bits which make me think it's AF though, as it's likely to be womb lining. :-/

Good luck today, Stacks. :-)

Not long til your appt, Mrs. Exciting!

I'm going to try not to wallow as I have an awesome baby DD so can't complain. Just want another though to go with!

ATruth, any idea which day you want to meet up at the weekend?

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 04/11/2013 11:02

Hi Hungry, it could well be a show. I only got blood on wiping and put a pad on over night but got nothing at all. It really is possible so just see how it goes the next day or do and then I'd test again. Really hope it is a BFP for you! X

mrsm22 · 04/11/2013 11:08

Ooh need to ask a question myself. Tomorrow morning I've got the dentist for a check up. When you go in they make you fill in a form each time just so they can check if anything has changed health wise since the last time you went. Do I need to tell them I'm pregnant? My mum thinks I should tell them. What do you think? I suppose it might be best to say just in case I end up needing a filling or anything (I hate going to the dentist so hopefully not) but I know they have to give you a temporary filling if you're pg.

HungryHorace · 04/11/2013 11:12

I'd tell them, Mrs, and ask your mw to complete the exemption form for you so it's free once you get the exemption card.

I'm just not hopeful, even though it's very similar to yours. There has been blood on the pad every now and then, but it's mostly on wiping. I suppose time will tell, but for now I'm putting it down to AF.

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 04/11/2013 11:49

Thanks Hungry, I will tell the dentist tomorrow. I know you're not getting your hopes up but I put my bleed down to AF too and thought it was just a light one so you never know. I hope Stacks is getting on ok today with her early scan, I don't know what time it was.
