Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been on for a few days. Been crazy busy at work and not had time to catch up. For those who have asked, yes, I am now past the day AF was due and got a nice strong line on a spare OV test today, so I'm feeling a bit more confident than I was at the start of the week Grin I've also discovered that the booking in system here is much different to where I used to live. I have an appointment on Monday. I'll be less than 5weeks! I'm hoping for a scan at around 7/8 weeks. As I've only got one ovary and tube my last surgery put me in for an early scan in my last pregnancy to check it was where it should be. I'm feeling okay. I keep getting hot flushes which I don't remember getting last time, and still have the occasional metallic twinge in my mouth, but otherwise I don't feel very pregnant at all (which makes it even harder to avoid proper coffee and wine Grin) How are you doing hungry? Any symptoms yet?

Has Better been back since calling the doctors? Hope everything is okay.

Monster and Swede - how have you waited this long?!!? I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow. I really hope it's good news.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 12/12/2013 21:45

X-posts with hungry - according to my online calculations based on LMP I'm due on 19th August so I'm sure I'll be PMing you about raspberry leaf tea, curries and pineapple that week!

HungryHorace · 12/12/2013 21:54

We are really close in dates then, ATruth :-) I'm glad you're taking advantage of the OPKs too!

I get hot flushes at night. I'm horribly sweaty to sleep with. My mouth tastes funny for the first few hours I'm up too.

I've had a few twinges and light cramps but not much. I generally don't feel that pregnant! At least you don't either!

I'm hopefully having ELCS so won't want to induce labour. :-)

I'm jealous of your early booking appt. I feel a bit meh right now as nothing is happening and I don't feel pregnant!

I'm in bed now as there's nothing on TV and I want to avoid going to sleep on the sofa, which is what I did last night!

Looking forward to POAS news in the morning. :-)

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 12/12/2013 22:01

I've got to be honest, I'm hoping for an ELCS too. Either an ELCS or a slightly early/on time natural birth. I really don't want to be induced again.

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 00:06

No, I imagine not.

The idea of labouring again scares me, especially as they reckon it'd be quicker the next time. I couldn't differentiate between contractions last time and had a stupidly fast labour, so that just worries me somewhat!

A nice calm ELCS will suit me down to the ground.

As you're booking before me you'll have to let me know what your midwife says about delivery options.

Morning. So no AF this morning! However, now unsure as I was probably wrong about ovulation date so maybe I am a day ahead.
Here to the stupid news of the day, I totally forgot to POAS this morning. I get up at 4.30am each morning to get to work early. As you can probably understand, brain capacity at that time is rather slow so I just got up and went for a wee and then into the shower and then realised Blush.

Given that I have now waited this loooooooooooooooooooooooooong and the fact that I am unsure if AF is now due tomorrow and the fact that I want to POAS in the morning, I think I will now have to wait until tomorrow to POAS. I am such an idiot Angry.

Still bloated, still aching ovaries and still not sure if AF is on her way.

So if no AF by tomorrow morning, I am going to POAS. That is a promise.

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 05:02

Ah, Swede, boo! I fully appreciate slow thinking early in the morning though. And 4.30 is bloody early!

But, excitement re no AF! :-) Fx for tomorrow.

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 13/12/2013 05:38

Yes 4.30 is terribly early but I work for a bank ( being a boring lawyer) so very long hours.

So want to POAS!!!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 13/12/2013 06:44

Still sounding promising Swede. Have a good day Smile

Monstersaurus · 13/12/2013 07:07

BFN for me this morning. Am clinging to the hope that I tested too early, although suspect AF is on her way.The next poas opportunity will be Sunday, unless AF is here.

Swede, 4:30 AM is far too early to remember ditch things. Sorry you forgot.

Monstersaurus · 13/12/2013 07:09

Oops. Ditch = such. Clearly it is too early for me to use my words properly.

CallingAllEngels · 13/12/2013 07:48

Just off for blood test now so will catch up when I get back.

DH and I have been thwarted by toddler the last few nights but did manage to dtd yesterday...had stronger line on opk.

BBL

SwedeAway · 13/12/2013 07:54

Monster - Sorry about your BFN but as you said, its probably too early to test.

Yes feeling rather stupid about forgetting to POAS this morning. Considering it is on my mind constantly, I cant believe that I forgot. Anyhow, if AF turns up today or tomorrow at least I haven't wasted a test.

Monstersaurus · 13/12/2013 08:19

Hope all goes well with your blood test Engels.

Swede, must be frustrating. Hope you don't have another early start tomorrow.

DH had reminded me that last time I tested early because we were going somewhere, got a bfn then tested a few days later and got my bfp. All is not yet lost. I'm bloated too but that could just be AF. Why does this have to be so confusing?

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 08:22

Sorry about the bfn Monster. Fx for Sunday. I hope you can enjoy your weekend. When would AF be due?

Swede, what kind of test do you have? I got a line with a FRER with afternoon wee at 10 DPO. And I'm guessing you may be like me as we both work in law and that getting a wee is a treat, so you should have held it in long enough to have a test work at this point.

Or you can wait til tomorrow morning.

:-)

Engels, yay for DTD. And good luck today.

BetterNotBitter · 13/12/2013 09:17

Morning everyone.

Haven't been on for a few days (organising a really packed December full of festive activities etc seemed like a great idea, I hadnt anticipated the problematic combination of that & early pregnancy shattered-ness!)

Sorry for the bfn monster hopefully just too early.

Im not surprised you forget swede 4.30 is still the middle of the night really!!! Good luck fir when you do poas.

atruth my booking in was at 5 weeks too, very early! Hopefully you'll get an early scan then, when will you find out about that? The doctor was trying to get hold of me to tell me I have a water infection & have now got some pregnancy friendly antibiotics. Thanks for remembering!

hungry I'm exactly like you, dont feel very pregnant at all. Other than the stupid level of extreme tiredness. I also have a 'bad feeling' hoping its just cos I didnt even know I was pregnant at this point first time round so cant really relate to this stage. Hoping I'll feel more pregnant in the next few weeks. But at this point I'd honestly be more surprised at good news at a scan than bad news.

How is everyone else? Im on my phone so cant go back further than this page to respond to anything else. Any nice weekend plans?

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 09:32

Better, that's interesting to know that you feel the same as I do. I'm weirdly relieved that it isn't just me! I hope we are both pleasantly surprised at our scans. :-)

I'm glad it was only something minor that the GP wanted you for.

It's exhausting planning for Christmas, isn't it? We aren't even doing that much!

SwedeAway · 13/12/2013 09:38

Monster - No early start tomorrow (or at least I get to sleep until DD wakes me up). Definitely keeping fx for you for Sunday.

Hungry - My test is own brand from pharmacy here (equivalent of Boots I'd say). It says its early detection and can pick up pg hormones 4 days before AF is due so by tomorrow morning it should give me an answer either way (I hope). Have decided not to test at work as if its negative I may have to have a little cry. You're not wrong in that getting a wee is a treat. Full on days all the time but I love what I do so I guess its worth it. Its hard working full time with a kid though (never mind two if that ever happens). Luckily getting help (nanny) here is quite cheap so I would have to go down that route if I had a second one.

Better - Thank you! I will for sure let everyone know as soon as AF or POAS has occurred.

Off to visit Mandela's house today to lay some flowers. Think it will be a nice way to say good bye and to honour his memory.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 13/12/2013 09:47

Monster - I just wanted to remind you that both hungry and I got a BFN on a Friday and then a BFP on the Sunday. Maybe you can make that work for the third week running!

Better - glad to know there's no major problem Grin

Swede - I'll be thinking of you at the house today. Can you say a quick silent thank you from me for making the world a better place? Have you seen ? It looks amazing.

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 10:17

Ooh, yes, we need a hat trick of Sunday BFPs, Monster!

Swede, probably is best to do it at home. Whatever result you had it'd ruin your concentration afterwards.

I had a bladder of steel my last pregnancy thanks to my job, I think. I doubt I'll manage that this time as I'm not back at work til 18 weeks!

Work still hasn't even acknowledged my flexible work request. I'll send it to the HR head honcho next week and chase it up.

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 13/12/2013 11:24

ATruth - Just came back, it was amazing. I sent him a quick thank you from you!

Feel strange, is it AF or am I just bloated. Very constipated (sorry TMI)!

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 11:43

Constpated? Very good sign!

POAS!!!!

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 13/12/2013 11:44

You've got POAS on the brain Hungry Grin

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 11:45

Constipated, even.

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 11:45

Funny that! You're giving me reason to :-)
