Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Kt1991 · 01/12/2013 09:21

BFN here too :( the test yesterday must of been a funny one cause today's looks like all the others I've done lol. Going to have to buy some more now! hungry what days AF due for you again? I really hope I am this month cause don't feel like DTD lots again!

And Atruth it's so tempting to isn't it!! You getting any symptoms at all?

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 01/12/2013 09:26

How many dpo are you kt? Sorry you didn't get your bfp. I was really hopeful for you after yesterday's test.

I'm going to try to hold off until Friday (10dpo)

No symptoms but I'm far too early for that.

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 09:39

Ha! Good plan.

You sit on my hands, Kt can sit on yours and I'll sit on Kt's!

Sorry you also got a BFN, Kt. :-(

I have no idea when I'm due on having not had a consistent cycle either before or since DD was born!

Not before Weds, as long as my luteal phase isn't buggered. Maybe Friday if it's a 14 day luteal phase.

I found another IC this morning, so I have 2 of those left. And I know I'll test tomorrow because I'm stupid impatient!

I bloody feel different this cycle. Sigh.

Do you feel optimistic, ATruth?

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 01/12/2013 09:54

Not really Sad We didn't manage to dtd at quite the right times and I'm so desperate for it to work this time to squeeze into an august due date (school/peer reasons) that sods law means it won't happen. How about you? Still hopeful / positive?

On the upside, the increased frequency of dtd has drastically improved dh's mood and our relationship Grin

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 09:58

I was feeling more positive than I am now. I do feel odd / different, but that could be coincidence. I suppose I'm not out yet though!

I'm glad you've had a positive result with your relationship. :-)

Fingers crossed for both of us!

Morning. Sorry to hear about BFNs. We'll get there ladies. FX for everyone.

Truth I know what you mean about due dates. The summer holiday is the only holiday here whihc doesn't count as part of your ML. Though with DS I was due mid-October which meant I only had to go back for 3 weeks in Aug/Sept and therefore wasn't teaching much at all during the 3rd trimester, which in some ways was an advantage (not getting so knackered and stressed). But didn't stop people telling me I 'hadn't planned it very well' ! Well, if I hadn't had a mc before I got pg, I would have had DC mid-August.

As we all know - you can't plan these things!). DH started asking me how I would feel if I got pg at the same of time of year I did with DS (BFP beginning of Feb) which is a real possibility of course (and would mean I couldn't attend best friend's wedding Sad ) as due date would be same time as DS's birthday. It's happened to quite a few friends of mine. I told him I care more about not going to wedding so we may hold off for Jan/Feb. I could travel to UK at 7/7 and half months pg but not later. So maybe I'll aim for a Dec baby!

Okay, so AF like bleeding and mild cramping has carried on consistently since Friday morning. A little lighter than my usual flow but flow nonetheless.

Can AF come back post-mc when HCG hasn't dropped to 0 yet? Dr told me I wouldn't ovulate again until HCG was 0? Perhaps this is the rest of the womb lining leaving my system? Confused

Anyway, feeling good today. Sun is shining. Bambi is on yet again which gives me a hance to MN!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 01/12/2013 10:21

That sounds positive to me engels. I'd consider it your af and start using opks to see when you ovulate. That might help you feel more in control of the situation. Fx.

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 11:15

That sounds positive to me too Engels. I agree with ATruth. :-)

Maybe the last lot of hcg left your system quite quickly? Or maybe this AF is just 'resetting' your body ready to go?

It all sounds hopeful, anyway.

Hi ladies, sorry Hungry and Kt for your BFN's. You never know though, could just be too early for a positive to show up. In fact Kt, I've just remembered that when I did a test and got a very faint line , I waited two days and got a BFP. Thought that was the end of it but a week or so later I got the BFP so you can see how doing a test too early when there's not enough HCG hormone doesn't necessarily mean a BFN.
My DH is really unwell, he is struggling to breathe and is ok as long as he lays in bed. I've sent him to the emergency doctors surgery, a bit worried about him driving but he needs to see someone. I couldn't really go with as DS would be a nightmare and you don't know how long DH will be waiting before he gets seen.
Kt - does your DS have asthma or just chest been bad in the cold? They do say when it's cold it's worse.
So what's everyone doing today? Toothpaste has her scan! I've got my MIL and FIL coming round this afternoon. I think I've said before that I'm not a big fan of my MIL but we don't see her that often and I had arranged for them to pop over this afternoon before DH was poorly so looks like he'll be in bed and I'll have to entertain.

mrsm22 · 01/12/2013 11:19

Sorry I meant to say that I got a very faint line and waited two days to test again but got a BFN.

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 12:10

Oh, of course. Good luck Toothpaste. xx

Mrs, I've sent you my number in exchange. :-) Which I did before reading the thread, so my message about your DH should be ignored.

Sorry he's really not well, but it's good he's going to be looked at. My DH hates the doctor and barely goes.

Let's hope he feels much better soon.

I hope you're right re shy BFPs. :-) And it is still early for both Kt and I. It's just so easy to be despondent!

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 01/12/2013 12:27

Yes fingers and toes crossed for you and Kt! We need more BFP 's this side of Xmas.

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 14:10

Ummmm, I may have just got a BFP on a FRER! I bloody knew I was pregnant!

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 14:15

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 14:54

Thanks Donna! :-)

But what do I say for LMP after last month's week of spotting but not proper AF?!

Arrrgghhh.

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 14:56

So, thread starter again. You'll have to fight over who starts the next one!

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 01/12/2013 15:06

I think you need to count the spotting as lmp. The line would be much darker if you were 8 weeks pg already.

Kt1991 · 01/12/2013 15:13

mrs yep DS has mild asthma, I'm hoping he will grow out of it when he's older cause its horrible especially in the winter. That's not good about Your DH hope he gets it sorted. My DH had to go to A n E yesterday with chest pains, we couldn't go with him cause I know DS would of ben a nightmare too!

So happy for you hungry! Your have to do a digi next couple of days see what it says! And unsure what you can say to them for them to work out dates! Oh Im so hoping I can join you too! Then we may be due similar times!

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 15:25

My MW friend says that they'd go by the last normal period, so 10th October, as LMP and then alter the date if the scan shows it's from the weird bleed.

Mrs had difficulty getting a positive at 6-7 weeks' pregnant, but I've had a positive OPK since then so I think you're right, ATruth.

DH is going out to buy a digi for me!

And I hope so too Kt. :-) Mid August baby though. But I'd expect to have an ELCS at about 38 weeks.

smokeandglitter · 01/12/2013 15:26

Hi mrs, congrats on BFP! And to everyone else with a BFP too! I really hope your DH gets better quickly mrs and I hope you stay well too, sounds awful!

I'm 23 and haven't come off any contraception. Smile Thanks hungryhorace - that's good to know re: confusing cycles! Congratulations on BFP! Amaaazing!

Good luck, Toothpaste!

mrsm22 · 01/12/2013 15:46

Hungry - MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU! And sending lots of love your way xxxxxx get yourself to the doctors this week or booked in with the midwife at least. Fantastic amazing news.
Smoke - thank you, I have my 12 week scan in tues. I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. If you've not come off any contraception you should be quite fertile and you're nice and young . Well we all are but you know what I mean.
Kt - you're next for the BFP then following Hungry. How is your DH? Can't believe he went to A&e. He must have been bad. Nothing more scary than anything relayed to breathing and chest pain.
