Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Thank you, Smoke and Mrs. I'm still in shock!

Sitting cuddling 5 month old DD with another on the way. Not bad going for a 37 year old. :-)

I'll ring my surgery tomorrow as I see a practice nurse who then books me in with the MW.

Kt, I missed your post about your DH, I'm so sorry. I'm a bit ditzy right now! I hope he's better soon. Xx

Congratulations Hungry do glad you got your bfp after your confusing cycles. Hopefully won't be too long before we get more bfps here - they should at least come in 3's!

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 17:19

Thank you Stacks :-)

I now have digi tests, but my wee is now far too dilute to do one today, so that's the task tomorrow.

Really nervous!

Thanks girls, he’s ok thankfully, just strained it/pulled a muscle, still been hurting him quite a lot, but just told to take painkillers!

Haha thats ok hungry you had other things on your mind ;). Let us know what Dr’s say tomorrow! You will have a lovely close age gap between them!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 01/12/2013 19:55

Yes!!!!! Congratulations hungry!! That's the best news. Now for a string of them!
My scan was amazing thank you????! I feel so happy now I have seen the little jelly bean with a beating heart! Apparently mc rate goes right down now. But obviously will still be nervous (prob for rest of preg?!). Just 20 more days.
Bring on some more baby news!!

Kt1991 · 01/12/2013 19:59

Sorry cross posts toothpaste glad your scan went well! I’m sure those 20days are going to speed by now with the lead up to Xmas! Glad your feeling relieved Smile

Congratulations Hungry! That is lovely news. Toothpaste, glad to hear that the scan went well. So reassuring to see a wee heart beat.

Sorry I've posted so little recently, work/life has been busy. Lots has happened on the thread in the past little while - far too much to comment on in this post. Fingers crossed for more BFPs soon. Smile

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 20:37

Thank you, Toothpaste. I'm so pleased about your scan. That's excellent news. :-)

And thank you Monster too.

I'll just book a nurse's appt tomorrow for mw referral. Hopefully I can see her this week and get the wheels in motion.

Is it wrong to not mention negative tests and positive OPKs so I maybe get an 8 week scan on the NHS for dating? :-/

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 01/12/2013 21:17

I think you'd be better off telling the truth. They may offer you hcg blood tests or an early scan to clarify anyway, but you don't want to end up scanning too early and worrying if there's nothing there.

Monstersaurus · 01/12/2013 21:26

I would agree with ATruth, better to be honest. You might get an early scan anyway. Good luck tomorrow, hope you get an appointment soon.

Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 01/12/2013 21:34

Congratulations hungry Grin. I'm made up for your BFP.
It makes me wonder if there is still a chance for me as AF hasn't shown up (cd41 I think). Just tell them the truth, that basically you don't know and they may scan you earlier rather than later anyway.
Hope your DH gets well soon mrsm.

HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 22:57

Yeah, I suppose you're right! Though my last period WAS October as I never had a day where I had more than spotting really so I couldn't choose a date in that week to give. I'll see what they say at the appointment anyway. :-)

There could well be hope, Noyou! There's always hope until AF comes. :-)

I'm now worried that no proper period will mean a dodgy womb lining. There's always something, isn't there?!

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 01/12/2013 23:01

Are you still DTD Noyou? You could have gone straight onto the next cycle like I did without realising.

Why does TTC send our bodies bonkers?!

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 01/12/2013 23:13

Just tell them all that hungry - they'll want the full story and will hopefully reassure you. Oh, and can you sit on my hands please? I'm just FOUR dpo and tempted to poas after your good news.

utopian99 · 01/12/2013 23:41

Fantastic news hungry and so glad scan went well toothpaste. I remember worrying pretty much the whole way through my pg and every scan was a nice bit of reassurance.

I keep thinking we're being casual about ttc then catching myself ss. Still no af but may probably not have ov'd four days ago and dh and I have been having a very jolly time getting the hours in Grin so who knows? stacks did you get yours this time with no af first?

Hello to the newbies too - this thread moves so fast I keep missing people so apologies all round. Mrs and others with poorly dh/dcs I hope you have wellness coming your way soon.
Up North on business with ds (self employed so I am able to haul him about with me), but this is definitely going to be harder to achieve with two, isn't it?

HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 00:15

It all still feels very WTF here! And yes, I'll tell them my strange little tale and let THEM decide what we do. I think I'm just under 4 weeks' pregnant in reality. I'm sure the digi will say 1-2 tomorrow.

ATruth, don't waste a test! Wait until Saturday. :-) I'm still carrying baby weight (I'll be huge this time!) so you really won't be able to move your hands if I'm sitting on them!

Thanks, utopian. I don't know how anyone just relaxes when TTC. I don't, anyway.

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 03:51

Ok, the digi says 1-2!

It feels a touch more real seeing it in writing. :-)

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 02/12/2013 06:41

mrs - how is dh this morning?

hungry - I just saw the pic of your digi. Are you calmer now?

I actually dreamt of a bfp last night. So now it definitely won't happen!

SwedeAway · 02/12/2013 06:55

Hungry Congratulations! That is the best news ever!
Been so busy this weekend so have had no time online at all. Think we have done as much as we can this month (as far as dtd is concerned). Now in my 2ww (3dpo) so time is standing still. But my parents are arriving tomorrow and I haven't seen them since July so I am very excited and I am sure they will keep my mind on other things (yeah right) so the next two weeks will go quicker.

Just to confirm. When is the earliest that I should test? Dont want to do too early to be disappointed but patience is not my best virtue so do not want to wait too long:)

HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 07:58

Kind of, ATruth. It's still sinking in, to be honest. I wasn't expecting it to happen so quickly given my age. Still worried though, but that's my natural pregnant mindset. :-/

Do I need to keep sitting on your hands?! Have you had many odd dreams? That was one of my symptoms both times! But you never know! :-)

Thank you Swede!

I hope you get sorted for your parents ok. Maybe having them around will help time go faster. Are they good house guests?

And a week today is the earliest you can test. I had a definite BFN on my IC on Sat at 9 DPO then the faintest ever line ages after I'd dunked it at 10 DPO.

I'm feeling so bloody hungry right now. And a bit sick. All good. :-)

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 02/12/2013 08:16

Poas party on Friday or Saturday swede? I may be able to hold off if someone else is too!

HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 08:51

You're desperate to POAS, aren't you ATruth? :-)

I rang my surgery and they've changed the procedure, so it's now self referral to the midwives.

So I rang the hospital and told the person I spoke to the info and dates re AF and the spotting, plus the digi result today. She said that those tests aren't accurate and that I'll get an appointment in the post. So when I get my appt letter I'll have an idea which date they're using!

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 02/12/2013 08:58

ATruth - I think this weekend may be a bit pre-mature for me to POAS (only 9 dpo on Sunday). I may have to hold out until next week (If I can). But you are a day ahead of me so you should definitely go for it this weekend!

mrsm22 · 02/12/2013 10:55

Hi everyone,
ATruth - DH is still not well but slightly better than yesterday and over the weekend and only taken two lots if steroids. Thanks for asking, and dreams don't always mean much!
Hungry - have you got an appointment to see your midwife? And are you eating well/the right things? I think it's hard to get an early scan so you might be best going for a private one like I did, if you can't wait til the 12 weeks (like me). Worth the money and you can probably go this week! Go for it!
Toothpaste - fabulous news about your scan, so happy for you . How many weeks did they say you were and did you get a due date?
I'm exactly 12 weeks today ladies and scan tomorrow at 2pm! Had a really bad dream about it last night (dreams are either bad or mental when pregnant)!
Kt. - glad your DH is better!
Utopian - lucky you getting to work with your DS. Whereabouts up north are you working?
