Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Sorry just realized the school year question was prob not meant for meBlush

CallingAllEngels · 28/11/2013 16:20

No idea about what's normal for hcg dropping hungry. With my last mc it went down straight away and 2 months later I was pg with ds. This time I'm 2 months on from my BFP and still not in a position to ttc. I just hope that I do get pg in the next 6 months. Don't want to have to face the edd in June and still be a single child family Sad

Our school year is roughly the same as yours though start and end are staggered so can finish as early as end of June and start back mid-august some years.

HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 16:47

Ah Swede, never mind! I think it's potentially a Southern Hemisphere thing with the calendar year (essentially) as the school year. I think! How old are kids when they start school?

And maybe you have gone a bit TTC mental. :-/ I'm not sure I like natural hormones. Can't wait to go back on some form of birth control after DC 2!

Engels, I really hope you get a BFP as soon as possible. When are you being tested again? Apologies if you've said, it's difficult to check on my phone.

CallingAllEngels · 28/11/2013 17:18

Another 2 weeks hungry. Just feeling sorry for myself. The last 2 weeks I feel like I've been able to move on and going to hospital drags me back down.

On the bright side, the weekend starts here for me. Going for a run with a friend tonight and going to pamper myself when I get back then pray that ds sleeps through (he spent the whole night in our bed last night).

HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 19:21

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that everything is back to normal next time, Engels. And you're allowed to feel sorry for yourself; it's a shitty situation for you.

Did you enjoy your run? Make sure there's a glass of wine in that pampering. :-)

CallingAllEngels · 28/11/2013 19:32

Just back. Great to have a gossip and blow the cobwebs away. Can still hear ds chattering to himself upstairs

Wine it is hungry !

HungryHorace · 29/11/2013 08:38

Thank goodness, Swede...get molesting your DH! :-)

And that's great news, Donna. It's great that we've now 2 pairs of expecting siblings. I know my sister won't be joining me. Or if she does it'll be VERY unplanned. :-)

I'm feeling crap with my cold today. And a bit worried as my weird spotting started this day last cycle. Apprehensive. :-/

OP posts:
bertandmarble · 29/11/2013 09:52

I'm 39 and ttc no 2. This is my first cycle. Wish me luck! Xxx

HungryHorace · 29/11/2013 10:20

Hi Bert! Good luck.

How old is DC1? Did you TTC for long last time?

I can celebrate (sorry) not being the oldest person here now at 37! :-)

OP posts:
Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 29/11/2013 10:28

Good luck bert,
Nice news about your sister Donna,
Get shagging swede Wink
Hope there is no weird spotting hungry.

I am still missing an AF, considering POAS again but don't want another BFN Confused

HungryHorace · 29/11/2013 10:33

How late is AF now, Noyou? I'd POAS, definitely. But I love POAS!

OP posts:
Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 29/11/2013 11:13

8/9 days but it is 13/14 days since the only times we DTD.

HungryHorace · 29/11/2013 11:53

Could you have OV'd late?

OP posts:
Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 29/11/2013 12:00

I have no idea, we were supposed to be TTC in jan but got a bit impatient. I didn't really think I would get pregnant as I knew it was not supposed to be a good time of the month for conception. Now stuck in limbo and either pregnant or late for no obvious reason which is a more worrying idea.
Just wish I could get a BFP or AF so I would know

Metalhead · 29/11/2013 12:02

Hungry I'm feeling crap too with another bloomin' cold.

Great news about your sister Donna!

I just heard one of my friends is having her second in June. Happy for her but also slightly jealous.

Still nothing here. CD48 and no AF, no BFP and not even a positive opk! I think my body might be trying to tell me to stop at one DC...

HungryHorace · 29/11/2013 12:23

Were you on the pill, Noyou? Trying to find an explanation for you!

And that's annoying, Metalhead. How old is her first?

Your body's really testing you, isn't it?

OP posts:
Metalhead · 29/11/2013 13:04

Her DS will be 4 in January. If we manage to get pregnant by March we'd have a similar age gap, but at the moment I'm really not holding out much hope... (even the cramping I had for the last 2-3 weeks has stopped, so it literally feels like my body isn't doing anything at all!)

CallingAllEngels · 29/11/2013 13:44

Congrats to your dsis donna.

Hi bert. Good luck.

Hope you feel b etter soon hungry.

Oh metal, sorry you feel so down. How long b have you been ttc#2? Other people's pg suck when you're waiting for a bfp. I'm waiting for annoying colleague to announce her pg. Wondering if someone has whispered in her ear so she's trying to be more tactful this time.

My body is confusing me. Have had no bleeding or cramps for 2-3 weeks then this morning have AF type bleeding and cramps. Surely I can't be having AF if hcg hasn't gone down to 0 yet?

Toothpastekissesno2 · 29/11/2013 13:52

Donna - great news for your sis. Atleast that's a bfp by association.
Engels I am so sorry you are in limbo. I can only imagine the frustration of mentally being ready to move on and your body not quite catching up. My friend has something similar but it did go down after 6 weeks.fx next time u go they will give you the green light. In the meantime Christmas drinks!
Lucy - sorry about af. That's shit. I think u will still have one month pre end of the year to get that bfp. But maybe a fun filled december will help.
Metal u are also in limbo which is rubbish. Have u spoken to a dr? I think u said u had but I get forgetful.
I am literally counting the hours til Sunday morning and the scan. I just feel quite gloomy and I can't work out whther it's some six sense something isn't right or if it's preg hormones (I know I was pretty moody last time). My poor dh doesn't know what to do with me!
Watching one born every min what happened next whilst ds sleeps. Very unproductive but was at work til 10 last night so feel I can!
Happy Friday x

Metalhead · 29/11/2013 14:08

Engels I'm on cycle 4 but because mine are always quite long (not to mention this WTF cycle) it's actually coming up to 6 months already, which feels like an eternity! Sorry about your weird bleed, I'm afraid I don't really know what could be causing it, but hope it's the end of your saga!

Toothpaste I did see a doctor recently though back then was still expecting AF to turn up. I'm going to get a private gynae referral in the new year and hopefully they'll be able to help.

Oh and forgot to say earlier, sorry AF got you Lucy - have some Wine this weekend! (I can't even do that today because of this awful cold Angry)

CallingAllEngels · 29/11/2013 15:02

Christmas drinks and all the other stuff that I avoid when pg! Bought two types of blue cheese today and am arranging a Christmas meal with a friend before Christmas - I feel a medium rare steak coming on!

I got pg on cycle 3 metal , then mc, now 6-7 week wait so lord knows. Nearly 6 months for me as well! I really hope that HCG has hit 0 in two weeks and then it'll be the wait for AF (though doctor said we can try before then). By then it'll be nearly Christmas which we're spending in the UK with my family so really looking forward to it.

I am nowhere near the despair I felt when ttc DS (18 months then a mc). I know that it will happen for us eventually (we had initial investigations at hospital after a year of ttc DS and no major problems). I just have to patient and I'm not a patient person! and I also have to stop looking at the Daily Mail website with all the blossoming celebrity bumps that give me the rage

And I have to look on the bright side - I have a deranged wild sparky little DS who is lots of fun right now. Words coming thick and fast, happy if he can get outside to the playground and chase me round a tree. Watching Muppet Christmas Carol with him right now or rather I'm watching it while he plays with trucks and feeling very festive.

CallingAllEngels · 29/11/2013 15:04

Toothpaste enjoy the peace and quiet while you can and don't feel guilty about taking a break.

Some days are mean to be unproductive (I spent this afternoon watching old Doctor Who's, this morning watched Bambi before we headed out to playground/supermarket, and now, well, Muppets....)!

Lucyjojo · 29/11/2013 21:24

Hello ladies, just wanted to say thank you for all being so lovely and supportive! I had a good ole' cry the other night, DH managed to cheer me up and convince me to stop being so melodramatic! I do always tend to jump to the worst conclusions and am now convinced I will only ever have 1 child. I definately think the stress was having a major impact on me so - you can hold me to this please - I am going to stop worrying and fretting and just let it be. If there is still nothing in March, then I can start worrying. We are going to a big party with lots of friends next weekend so I will be able to really enjoy myself there, and we have a few christmas parties coming up so more Wine!! Grin
So sorry some of you are struggling with your WTF cycles. Why are bodies so complicated?? I mean it's what we're meant to do for christs sake! I hope those of you waiting for AF get it, and those of you not wanting to see it get to see two lovely fat lines instead.
Hungry fx you make it to your AF due date, and beyond with no sign of any bleeding!
Engels really really hope your numbers drop. Surely they will have done by your next hospital visit.
Metal it really sucks. Hope you can enjoy Christmas and New Year and not fret too much Hmm
Toothpaste good luck with your scan, please let us know how you get on!
I'm also feeling very festive, I watched Miracle of 34th St last night with DD, what we all need is a Santa Claus like him to give us a baby!!!
Debating whether or not to watch One Born....do you all think its a good idea to watch it when desperate for a baby??
