Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

HungryHorace · 27/11/2013 22:26

We haven't tried that, one of the few things we haven't tried.

I'll get some sorted. :-)

And they look / feel like they're coming through, on the bottom right and the bottom front. I think the side may win actually, even though it's technically the wrong order!

She's been miserable and screaming tonight. Poor thing. :-(

And yes, for the love of god, somebody POAS!

HungryHorace · 27/11/2013 22:28

I have loads of MNetters on there, so comment all you like!

Most of our wedding guests were people we'd met online on a band's forum, so people expect randomers with me! x

Oh, frozen carrot sticks has just reminded me that ds' s fave food is still frozen peaa (straight from freezer). We started giving them to him when he was teething. Worth a shot? Also we have homeopathic stuff for sleek and night terrors. Might be worth finding your local practitioner and seeing if they can make a lactose free remedy.

Lucyjojo · 27/11/2013 22:49

Hi ladies sorry to be me-me-me again but just wanted to tell you AF just got me. Feeling a bit Sad. She is 2 days early this cycle. she was one day early last cycle so god knows what is going on. Do you think it could be the stress of the whole thing messing with my usually regular as clockwork cycle? I have been getting myself into a bit of a tizz this month so maybe I need to stop for a bit? My last AF came on the 3rd Nov, so how many days does that make my cycle? I am getting very confused with working out my cycle length!

Kt1991 · 27/11/2013 23:01

Sorry to hear that lucy Sad all the stress of TTC can make your periods all over the place sometimes. Did you come off the pill? Cause that can also be weird for at least 6months for some people. Mine have been the same too so really hard to estimate when next AF or ovulation will happen. Do you have apps on your phone at all? I use a few to try help me track dates. At least you can have a drink over the festive period Smile maybe getting Xmas out of the way and focus on it after might help? I will be doing the same if AF appears next week for me too.

HungryHorace · 27/11/2013 23:03

25 days, Lucy, as CD1 will be tomorrow as it started after midday.

Your luteal phase is 10-11 days, which should be OK. 10 is the minimum really.

I'm so sorry she got you. I had my hopes up there too. :-(

Normally your luteal phase won't change length, it'll be the bit from AF to OV that alters. Do you know if that's happening for you?

((Hugs))

Hi horace, in answer to your question from a few posts back the ic s reckon I ov'd yesterday and I've been having mild periody pain today so maybe? Then again last time the sticks said yes I can't have or I'd have had bfp or af by now.

atruth where did you get your homeopathic stuff for sleep from? Does it work?

HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 05:23

Utopian, the sticks do only show the LH surge, so it looks like your body is gearing up for ovulation but not quite getting there. One day it will, so all you can do is DTD as much as possible when you get a positive and hope that your body plays ball and spits an egg (or eggs) out. I know breast feeding does all sorts of funny things to your body, but you can still OV. :-)

Yes, ATruth, I got caught up with Lucy. Where do you get homeopathic medicines from. I've never looked, to be honest.

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 05:24

But it sounds like this time you may well have OV'd with the pain. Good luck!

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 28/11/2013 05:27

Good Morning, still have not dared to POAS. Did my ovulation test this morning but nothing. Have this weird feeling though which may be the start of ovulation (its very faint so not sure yet but as my prediction day for ovulation is tomorrow, it may well be it).
Hungry when are you POAS?

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 28/11/2013 07:03

Sorry to hear that lucy Sad I do wonder if the stress of ttc is having an impact on our cycles. Oh the irony!

We started getting homeopathic stuff from a chemist in our old town that specialised in it. It was wonderful. Proper old school chemist with lots of glass jars and potions! We went there as Ashtons and Parsons wasn't beong produced so he made an alternative version. Since moving our local gp (!) suggested Bella Donna for night terrors but it's only really health food shops that we can find that sell it. That's ok for us as we knew what we wanted but if you're trying it for the first time you need someone who knows what they are talking about!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 28/11/2013 07:05

Oh, and I can't remember who said it but yy to opks making you realise you'd stopped trying too early last month. I must have done too. Frustrating!

BetterNotBitter · 28/11/2013 07:50

Nooooo Lucy! Im so sorry, its so devastating when af arrives. I think If you feel like its getting on top of you then then maybe just try (although its easier said than done) to put it to the back of your mind for a month & dtd for fun without worrying about the timing & results.

Last month thats what we decided to do, even tho we'd only been trying for 2 cycles and the stress was too much for me. Especially as it was upsetting me when af came alot more than my husband. Its not that he wasnt bothered, he really wants #2, it was his idea to start trying actually.

I didn't know if I'd be able to 'forget about it' but I actually could alot better than I thought, I tried to think would we really dtd now if we werent trying? And if the answer was thay we wouldnt have (if LO had had a bad night or something) then we didnt. And I actually felt more relaxed pretty much instantly. And thats the month, despite lack of dtd? That we got the bfp.

So I think that the stress really does affect you!

HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 10:38

Swede, I'll be 10 DPO on Sunday so will POAS then, if I don't prove to have a luteal phase defect and have AF start before then.

I feel crampy today and just a bit odd. :-/ And the family cold has finally hit.

What with DD teething and having a cold, plus me feeling crap, I'm quite miserable right now!

I'm trying to remain positive as I had a cold and cramps last time. But I didn't have a house full of people with colds for me to catch! So I'm on the pessimistic side again.

Swede, looks like you'll be POAS tomorrow then. Are you going to double dip an OPK and HPT?!

I've never learned to relax when TTC. I try to not get too disappointed when AF comes, but it's worse this time round, weirdly. Is anybody else finding the second time harder? You'd think it'd be easier as we've already managed it once. Odd.

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 28/11/2013 11:22

Just feeling odd today. Trying to convince myself that I cannot possibly be pg, even though the last AF (if that's what it was) was short, I still think it was AF rather than anything else. Especially since I did POAS last week and it was BFN. If I was indeed pg, would it not have showed last week??

Focusing on dtd tonight and tomorrow as the next two days seem to be my most fertile days this time around (according to my chart). If I can wait to POAS until say Sunday I will try to do so. Going to be so busy this weekend in any event. Preparing for my parents to arrive for their annual one month stay on Tues next week so got to get everything ready. Also, it is DD's christmas end of year party at school tomorrow which should keep me busy and my end of year lunch at work tomorrow afternoon. Only two more weeks and then we are on summer holidays here.

HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 12:00

Are you in Oz or NZ Swede? Lucky you! :-)

How many DPO were you last week (ignoring 'AF'?).

Implantation can happen up to 12 DPO, then it's a few days to get enough hcg to show on a test. It may have been too early. :-)

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 28/11/2013 12:56

I should have been around 18-20 DPO which is why I am sure it would have showed up. The more I think about it the more unlikely it is that I am pg.

I am in South Africa. Moved here 3 years ago (previously lived in the UK for 12 years).

HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 15:09

That is weird then. I'm confused on your behalf. :-/

What's the time difference for you there?

OP posts:
CallingAllEngels · 28/11/2013 15:29

Sorry lucy Sad

Mixed news for me today at hospital. HCG has dropped down to 91 but has to be zero before I get "discharged" from gynaecologist's care and we can start ttc again

I certainly won't be going on ML this school year

SwedeAway · 28/11/2013 15:33

At the moment we are 2 hours ahead of you (when you move the clocks again it will be one hour).

It's weird right? But will assume I am not pg and aim for BFP after this ovulation....if it ever occurs...

HungryHorace · 28/11/2013 15:46

At least you're heading in the right direction, Engels. Is it common for the hcg levels to take a while to drop? Fx you can start the new year with a BFP ASAP.

Is your school year the same as ours?

I've got no explanation for you, Swede. Some BFPs are quite shy. I hope you have one who's not coming out to play!

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 28/11/2013 15:59

Not sure about school year in uk (never had a kid there). So here they are finishing the school year now. Think all matric (a levels) exams finished this week. Start again 13 Jan or thereabouts.

I think I have just got things mixed up. So desperately want to get pg that I have started to go a bit crazyBlush
