Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Hey Metal - welcome back. Please go and see another gp if you think you have endo. I was fobbed off for years and eventually lost an ovary and tube to it. I'm not suggesting that it would happen to you, but that GPs should take it seriously. A friend who had a completely different doctor had surgery to remove some of the endometrial tissue and conceived the following month. I changed doctors when I realised that!

Nothing to report here. I'm on about day 9 so just trying to dtd as often as possible. I haven't bought any OPKs yet, but I would really like it to happen this month to sneak LO into the same year group as my friends' second child so I may get some HB cheapies tomorrow.

BTW, you are all in charge of not letting me POAS until at least 10dpo this month. I drove myself crazy last month. Clearly, this will be easy for you to do - internet friends can totally stop a person P-ing-OAS Grin

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 24/11/2013 20:19

While we're on the topic of endo, does anyone know how long you have to have been ttc-ing for before doctors will support/investigate if you've had previous gynae issues? Is it still a year or will they look into it sooner? On my realistic days I understand just how unlikely conceiving quickly is, and I wonder how long i should wait before seeing a doctor.

HungryHorace · 24/11/2013 20:38

ATruth, I'm not sure if it would be sooner, but I'd 'innocently' go after 6 months (like us old people get to) on the premise of getting advice due to your previous issues.

Then your GP has the option of referral, or telling you to go back after a year.

It won't hurt to put yourself in a position where you can be referred. What cycle are you on?

Lucyjojo · 24/11/2013 21:31

Sorry I can't help much on the endo / visiting doctor front either. I definately think it is the luck of the draw with doctors, I hate hate hate going to the doctors, I always feel like they just do not care and think I am lying. I don't exactly practise what I preach but I definately think you should push your cause with them until you hear what you want to hear. ATruth and Metal keep going back and tell them exactly how much of an impact this whole thing is having on your life, and hopefully you will get heard and something get done. My SIL is very bolshy and headstrong, and she puts on the waterworks, pulls all sorts of strings to get what she wants out of the NHS, and it always works.
ATruth do not dare POAS until at least 10 dpo!!! ( You will have to let us know when that is...) or there will be trouble Angry
That said, I am going to cave and POAS myself in the morning. It will be 10 dpo for me, and I think I am due AF maybe thurs, fri or sat. I haven't been getting as much cramping today, more like a pulling sensation in my muscles, but my back is also painful, I do have back troubles after having DD though and I have been running around after her all day, so it could just be muscle strain from that. I think my positive thinking has made me convince myself I am actually pg this month so I will be pretty gutted come the weekend if AF does show up.
Glad you had a nice time Toothpaste, it must have been so tempting to tell everyone! How is your sis getting on?
Metal I really hope you get some resolution soon with your cycle this month Hmm
Mrs new sofa sounds very exciting! Are you nesting already! Grin
Hi Ginger. Where are you up to in your cycle, is your AF late yet?

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 24/11/2013 21:58

Thank you Lucy - that is exactly the kind of bossiness I need Grin

Good luck tomorrow. I reaaaaaalllly hope you get your BFP.

HungryHorace · 24/11/2013 22:54

HungryHorace · 25/11/2013 08:45

Donna, how are you feeling? Not long til your next scan.

I think I'm POAS next Sunday that'll be from Friday then! as it'll be 10-11 DPO.

Seems quite close really. Bet it drags though. :-/

Lucyjojo · 25/11/2013 09:00

Morning all. Well I did it. A definate BFN. Not even an evap line to get my hopes up with. I really thought it would be my month this month Sad I guess the cramps are just an impending sign of AF arriving. Puts my next chance now on Christmas Eve, which could either be the best christmas present ever, or my christmas kind of ruined. Hmm How do you keep going through this month after month???
Good luck to everyone else this week! Surely we'll get one in before xmas?

Gingerpanther27 · 25/11/2013 09:51

AF showed up last night so I'm out. 27 day cycle for me I think! Unusual for me but I'm guessing having a kid might do that to you lol

HungryHorace · 25/11/2013 09:57

Lucy, it could still be too early.

Implantation can take place up to 12 DPO. It then takes 4-5 days for enough hcg to be in your system to show positive on an HPT.

Wait a couple of / few days and try again if no AF.

You're not out until AF shows. xx

Sorry AF got you Ginger. I really hope your next cycle is successful. And WTF cycles seem to be common round here, sad to say. :-/

mrsm22 · 25/11/2013 10:29

Morning all, sorry Lucy for your BFN and Ginger for your AF ! We are stuck in waiting for the sofa to be delivered , have no idea what time it will come.
How's everyone else?
Metal - what have you decided to do ?
Stacks - thanks for the advice re the cats. One of ours is a terror for the carpet and the other ripped our last fabric sofa every night so I am a bit worried but going to run out and buy some throws.
I'm 11 weeks today! How far are you Stacks ?

Metalhead · 25/11/2013 10:46

Morning ladies! Sorry for your BFN Lucy, but as Hungry said it might still be too early. Maybe retest in a few days? Fx for you.

Sorry AF got you too Ginger, it's such a blow each time isn't it?

Still no AF here even though I was convinced last night she was on her way. This is now officially my longest cycle ever!

However, I have just had some good news as I rang Bupa and they said they will cover initial consultation with a gynecologist and if necessary a laparoscopy - right now I'm loving my company for giving me private health insurance!! I think I will leave it until January though to get a referral as otherwise I would have to pay the £200 excess twice.

HungryHorace · 25/11/2013 11:03

That's great news, Metalhead. Does your policy run for the calendar year, hence paying the excess twice if you go now?

Here's hoping you get some answers soon re this cycle. It's very strange. :-/

Mrs, I hope you don't have to wait long for your suite. I'm waiting for nappies. Not quite as exciting!

OP posts:
Metalhead · 25/11/2013 11:09

Thanks Hungry, and yes it's per calendar year.

Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 25/11/2013 13:47

Hi, can join please. Have got a DD (2.6) and was supposed to be waiting untill jan to TTC. However we DTD twice at day 20ish of my cycle 1.5 weeks ago after getting a little enthusiastic. AF was due last wed/thurs and has not come Hmm I gave been driving myself nuts since AF went missing and even POAS today which was BFN.
Have had period type cramps on and off for about a week. I have no idea what is going on. Confused
I am normally a 26-28 day cycle and nothing had happened that could explain the late AF.

BetterNotBitter · 25/11/2013 14:23

Metal, thats brilliant about it being covered on bupa.

Lucy, gutted for you re bfn but as everyone says, may still be too soon.

Did everyone have nice weekends?

Lucyjojo · 25/11/2013 15:01

Sorry ginger, want to share some Wine with me?! I suppose it is a bit too early to tell just yet, but it's not looking likely.
Metal that's brilliant news! Makes sense to wait until January. You never know once you've been referred it might just ease the pressure and then it will happen for you. Nice to know you can move forward in the new year though I bet. I can't remember what you've said sorry - have you POAS?
Hello Noyoucan't, welcome along. Very strange where your AF has got to!! I really think we should start a missing AF thread, maybe some sort of reward.....what tests have you been using?

Lucyjojo · 25/11/2013 15:03

I'm just putting off doing some housework. I just want to snuggle up with tea and a packet of biscuits. DH got a surprise day off today so I was dead chuffed to spend the day with him, but he's been a grumpy git all morning for some reason, so he has gone off fishing leaving me to do the housework Angry. I told him I'd done a test and it was -ve, but he also agreed it's probably too early to tell. I can't tell if it's bothering him as much as it is me or not, he plays his cards very close to his chest.

Falliwalli77 · 25/11/2013 15:34

Hi all, well not sure what it going on with my body this month. :( I was so excited on Saturday as I had very light spotting in the morning so was hoping this was a sign and the calculations were right for when I ovulated, was having cramps, nausea and feeling more hungry and my period was due tomorrow so everything seemed to fit. So I did pg test which was negative but wasn't to upset as it says you have to wait 4-5 from implanation for HCG to show, then last night I had some more light bleeding which didn't bother me too much but this morning it's there and heavy. It doesn't seem the same as usual (sorry if TMI) but I don't understand why I would have light spotting 3 days before PD is due and why I have started bleeding day before (that's if it is pd). Was convinced this was it but just confused now as to what it is as you can't have heavy implantation bleed, can you? :(

HungryHorace · 25/11/2013 15:44

Lucy, today is the earliest you can test, so don't be disheartened. In fact, if Friday was your positive, then tomorrow is 10 DPO. You've got at least a week before it's looking unlikely.

I'm sorry your DH left you to the housework. :-( Too cold for sitting round fishing though!

I kept DD off swimming today as she's still recovering from her cold. She's slept loads so far, so I think it's the right thing to do. She did enjoy her lunch though. I think pear was more of a hit than everything else we've tried to date!

It's so cold today. We've had to have the heating on more than usual. Brrr.

Welcome to NoYour. This is the home of WTF cycles and missing AF. :-/

OP posts:
Lucyjojo · 25/11/2013 15:46

Hi Falli, how confusing for you - rubbish. But in answer to your question - yes you can!! Think back to the beginning of the previous thread - mrs had bleeding and thought it was her period, but she was pg the whole time! How heavy is heavy though? If you don't think its like your normal period then it could well IB! I don't know about the spotting 3 days ago, but my period started a day early last month and I am always regular. Have you been taking pregnacare? that can app mess with your cycles, so I have stopped taking it. I suppose really it's just a waiting game for you now, see if you get any more bleeding, and if not keep POAS. Fx crossed for you it's a bfp though. Such a headf*ck this ttc and cycle watching game!!!!

Lucyjojo · 25/11/2013 15:51

Thanks Hungry, I like your sensible words for me! I am preparing myself to get AF this week so at least hypothetically I won't be disappointed when it arrives. Definately too cold for fishing! I have done some dishes, some washing and some sweeping, but am now sitting down with Brew and mince pie and watching Modern Family. Has anyone ever watched it? I' not normally one for american sitcoms but I really like it!
Agreement about the heating, it is freeezing!! Sorry DD has a cold, it seems there's always at least one of us with a poorly child!! Glad she liked the pear though and weaning is going well for you.

HungryHorace · 25/11/2013 15:56

Oh god, Falli, another WTF cycle.

I know people who've had a heavy implantation bleed, so you're not out either.

It is odd though. Fingers crossed it is implantation. :-)
