Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Ahhh sorry ATruth, big bummer. Enjoy your Wine and maybe some chocolates to go with it too? At least you know it's not an ectopic pregnancy now!
Hi again Metalhead definately too early for you to be POAS I think!!
Hungry have you used posh sticks to pee on yet? How long until your next AF is due? - if you can work it out at all now!!
Mrs very excited about the scan!! Monday is so soon!! Please put a pic up for us! Do you get a pic to take away with a private scan? I too work 3 days a week and worked out the entitlement for bank hols/holiday days earlier on this year with my boss - you get pro-rata bank holidays off, so it works out that I get 14 days A/L a year, and 5 days bank holidays that I just take as extra holiday days. Because I don't work mondays I was missing out on all the bank holidays, so I just work normal weeks every week throughout the year and get extra holiday days. 5 days is rounded up, so you might want to double check on that one with your company, but you should hopefully be looking at about 20 days holiday to take too, so hopefully more than 6 weeks!!! Hope that makes sense??
Toothpaste glad you are feeling a bit better. Also exciting about your scan news!!!
Monstersaurus and utopian you are clearly just jumping on the 'weird AF' trend!! Maybe we should rename this thread -- what is going on! Surely there has to be some bfps soon!
Patience is not something I am good at. I am drinking wine and an abundance of coffee this month and so am telling myself that we're not really trying this month, therefore it probably won't happen. despite being very aware that I am currently ovulating and wondering when I can squeeze dtd in
Just watched one born what happened next. Not sure if this is good or bad for my mental state, but it is an addictive programme! Anyone else been watching the new series?

lelly78 · 14/11/2013 22:22

I love what happened next on one born, so nice to catch up Grin love the fashion couple and shed a little year for them Blush

I am having weird pains, poss OV but more likely wind... Nice!
Sorry af for you truth, gl for the rest... Another bfp needed,

Random question, was anyone reading the thread about is my oh in the army. Any ideas what happened or where it is? I want to know what happens next!
Happy Biscuit all x

lucyjojo · 14/11/2013 22:31

Ah I know the fashion couple are so lovely! I too shed a little tear. It does put it into perspective too doesn't it, they managed to stay so positive through all that and it was a happy ending in the end for them, so I'm sure it will be for us all, and we are so lucky to have one beautiful dc!
I wasn't reading that sorry lelly so can't help you, hate it when you never find out an ending!!!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 14/11/2013 22:41

That thread's still in chat lelly. He had been lying Sad Angry The op was MissEverdeen if you want to search for it.

HungryHorace · 15/11/2013 00:18

Lucy, I PO a FRER on Sat just gone and got a BFN. :-/

My app has my next OV as this weekend, so I'm using IC OPKs now to see when OV looks likely. I'll swap to my posh OPKs once I start to get 2 lines on the cheapies. I'm not wasting those while I'm slap bang in the middle of a WTF cycle!

Oh, just to know what's going on! We DTD tonight to ensure we have me topped up. Delightful!

OP posts:
Toothpastekissesno2 · 15/11/2013 08:38

Ha Hungry topped up is lovely image! Feeling much better today just deciding whether we cancel our weekend away with friends. Feeling quite anxious so maybe going away would be good to be busy but also still feeling quite knackered so want to take it easy.
It must be bfp time next week. Anyone testing then?

donnas1984 · 15/11/2013 10:28

so excited about all the scans hope yoy all posts them on the fb page. im gonna wait for the 12 week one Sad just simply too much else going on with birthdays and Christmas just dont have the spare cash. well I do but dh thinks its silly as im bound to get a scan within the next 3 weeks anyway.
dd much better just left with a green nose and the biggest appetite ever! so far this morning shes had weetabix toast a yoghurt a babybell and now onto a cereal bar!
i hope we get some bfps soon!

Kt1991 · 15/11/2013 11:05

Morning everyone, not posted all week, according to my apps I should be ovulating this weekend (today or tomorrow) I think! So the 2ww starts! I have my work Xmas do 2-3 days after AF is due so hoping I get a BFP before if were lucky this month, if not be worried about drinking! & where I work they partners that own it are very rich, so buy the round of drinks for everyone too!

Sorry that your still in limbo with AF/BFP hungry must be so frustrating especially when your AF’s have been normal since your DD. Looks like were ovulating at the same time!

Good luck to you all with your scans coming up soon!

Welcome to anyone new too Smile

How is everyone else doing? Any plans for the weekend?

mrsm22 · 15/11/2013 13:10

Hi everyone, Happy Friday!
Sorry to ATruth - I'm sorry that you're out for this month. Make sure you do treat yourself and then fingers crossed again for next month! Still leaves you with a chance for before xmas i think.
Hi Lucy - which 3 days do you work? Thanks for that helpful info re work and accrued holiday. I get 18 days from 1 October 2013 to 1 October 2014 and have 13 left (that's with my xmas holiday that i've booked off). So i'm planning to have one more day somewhere and try save 12 days to take before my mat leave and hopefully some bank hols that may accrue during my time off. I work 3 days (weds, thurs and fri) so i don't know if that would mean i'm not entitled to monday bank holidays. Surely there would be Good Friday next year though and possibly xmas if it falls on a Thursday next year etc. I was wondering, if anyone knows...say you organise your maternity leave with work and say you agree to a year off. if you decide not to go back after that year off, do you owe the company anything? We are allowed to take 12 months off here and I did with DS but we just get paid for 9 months and the last 3 months of your leave are unpaid. But we get a fairly decent maternity pay package. That's if i can manage to stick it out anyway as so tired all of the time.
My sister has apparently said to my mum that i am stupid for going for an early scan. Do you think I am silly for not waiting? I think my NHS one will be first week in December but don't know for definite and i know it's not long to wait but i would just like to know that everything is ok and i find it hard to wait. Nothing like putting a damper on things. The problem with my sister is she has 4 kids and i think she likes being the one with all of the children...
Lelly - I might have to start watching One Born, it has always freaked me out in the past.
Hungry - How are you?
What is everyone planning to do this weekend?

HungryHorace · 15/11/2013 14:06

I'm good, thanks. :-)

I felt a bit AFy earlier, but it hasn't come to anything, so not sure what's going on! But when did I last know what was happening?! SNAFU!

You'd have to look at your company's policy, mrs, but often an enhanced package would have to be paid back if you leave without going back. We only get SMP, so don't have to worry about it. :-/

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 15/11/2013 14:10

Oh, and as we've almost all had early scans before, I don't think any of us agree with your sister!!

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 15/11/2013 15:53

Thanks Hungry - Yes i think a bit of the green-eyed monster with my big sis. She would have loved me to have stopped at one! Anyway the main reason i am going on monday is too check everything is ok but also as i am really not sure how many weeks i am! I have to be between 9 and 11 weeks. Will they confirm at the scan?
Glad you are ok Hungry. I doubt you'd have another bleed so soon.

HungryHorace · 15/11/2013 16:00

They will confirm dates, yes. :-) How exciting!

And as my last bleed wasn't AF, as far as I know, it wouldn't surprise me if I did now have AF appear.

I can't emphasise enough how unlike my usual (has been forever) AF the spotting was. It wasn't even the same colour / consistency as AF as it was either pink or rusty brown / red and watery. It was all bizarre. Hence not having a clue what cycle I'm on. Oh well, all we can do is DTD EOD and see what happens. :-)

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 15/11/2013 19:41

Hi Hungry - I agree with you, I think that's all you can do and I actually think I 'd give it a bit longer before going to see a gp. I know I've said this before, but I still think it's pretty soon after having your DS and your body is probably still sorting itself out. I can't remember if I said but i probably have done on the first thread about my scary birth experience and bladder issues after. But when I saw a great gynaecologist, she told me that after having a baby it takes your body 12 months to get back to what it was in all ways. Maybe you did have AF but maybe they will be a but erratic and irregular on and off until that time. It's frustrating not knowing anything for definite but it's just an idea.

mrsm22 · 15/11/2013 19:41

Sorry Hungry - I meant your DD (typo).
Gutted there is no corrie or Enders tonight!

HungryHorace · 15/11/2013 19:52

I'm not planning on going to my GP just yet.

I've had 3 normal periods, just varying cycle lengths. There's no reason for me to suddenly have spotting for a week.

When you read what a period is like, they follow a pattern with their flow. My spotting didn't follow that pattern and was unlike any AF I've had in the 25 years since I started my periods! So, I really don't think it could have been AF! But why, I don't know.

The only thing I can think is that I didn't quite manage to ovulate which means I wasn't due a period, so I just had some spotting instead.

I'm willing to accept that. I'm not willing to agree that the bleeding I experienced was AF!

Sooooo...who knows?! If I don't have answers 60 ish days after the start of my last definite AF I'll go to the GP then and ask for blood tests or something!

I don't watch the soaps, so didn't know they weren't on! :-)

OP posts:
lucyjojo · 15/11/2013 21:28

Ahh Hungry it is all so baffling!!! I guess just keep on going as you are doing and chalk it down to a weird one.....keep peeing on sticks and something will happen soon!!!
Mrs I don't think you are silly for getting an early scan, you're not doing anyone any harm by doing so and its more important for you to be relaxed and reassured. Are you worrying more do you think because of the bleed you had before you found out you were pg? How strange of your sis to be like that, do you think she will have anymore kids? You get lots of holiday from work, that's brilliant! I should think you will get some bank holiday entitlement too, it's not fair for you to not get it just because you don't work mondays. I can't remember about giving notice on mat leave, I seem to think if you tell them soon enough you don't need to pay anything back> But obv you won't keep getting mat pay.
I don't wish to freak any of you preggers out so maybe look away now!! - but I was thinking today about what a long journey it is to get to holding your newborn baby, there are so many ups and downs along the way, so many things that can go wrong, such a long time to be worrying for, that I should just really enjoy and appreciate my little happy and healthy DD for now. A bfp is just such a small step really in getting a baby. Hmm phew I am feeling all a bit sentimental this month!
I'm not doing sooo well on the 'not really trying this month' I have been using OPKs since CD8 just to sort of see how they work really, and I have been getting progressively more obvious lines until a pretty positive line today so that got me quite excited! It's so nice to see a positive line on a pee stick isn't it!!!!! There seem to be a few of us ovulating at the same time so hopefully we will have a big string of bfps very soon, just in time for xmas!! Still not really putting the pressure on to DTD though, and I will be enjoying some wine this weekend Grin.
KT your work sounds good too!! I wouldn't be worried about drinking if you do get your AF, it wil be something for you to look forward to if you have no luck this month. But fx crossed you will be celebrating with orange juice at your party!!

HungryHorace · 15/11/2013 22:49

No sign of a line on my cheapie OPK today, so I doubt I'll be OVing this weekend! My app is calculating my cycle a bit short, so if I'm in my next cycle I'd expect to OV at the ent of next week. We shall see though.

Lucy, I hope you're DTDing loads. :-)

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 15/11/2013 23:03

Hi Lucy - I'm not worrying as such and don't suspect anything is wrong, I just really can't wait for my scan and wish it was sooner and as no date has come yet from the hospital to go and I have the option to pay and have one pretty much as soon as I'd like, I just really want to go. Like everyone, you don't know things are ok until that first scan so from that point of view like you say, I will be able to relax more and sigh of relief if/ once I know all is ok. I had stopped worrying about the bleed as I know I had an implantation bleed on 4th Oct and then a few days later after DTD but the midwife said that was nothing and just changes in my cervix so caused by sex. We've not DTD since as I don't dare at the moment. But of course I'd just like to know all is defo ok as even a midwife can't know anything for definite. I'm not worrying but I am generally a big worrier, about most things! With my sister, I'm not bothered what she thinks. She has 4 children all close in age, I think they're all about 18 months apart now. She would have gone on to have more and more and probably eventually a football team but her DP insisted on him getting the snip and that 4 was enough (as you start needing a mini bus, bigger house etc). I love her children and my DS loves playing with them and me and my sister get on ok but not great really. It's a shame but things like when I was pregnant with DS she started to terrify me when I was close to my due date, about how horrendous and painful childbirth was going to be etc which I thought was strange and not very fair. She knows I'm pregnant and has been nice about it and maybe she is pleased for me but I don't think deep down that she will love it when I have the baby again, if you see what I mean. I wish we were closer.
Don't worry Lucy about what you said, you are right - you go through so much in your pregnancy before your baby comes, the tiredness, the sickness if you get that, the worries etc. It's a lovely thing but also a lot to go through. Oh and another main reason for this early private scan is because I really want to know how far I am. With DS it was more clear as I had a period before getting pregnant but this time I didn't. x let's get that string of BFP's before Xmas like you say, you and Hungry by far deserve to be next on the list.

lucyjojo · 15/11/2013 23:33

Ah thanks Mrs, I hope we get them too! I'm glad you are not too worried. I am a big worrier and fretter too, it's so silly though it's not like worrying will change anything!! It will be so great for you to find out how pg you are, you can pin point your due date then too which will be lovely. And I hope you put some pics up for us all to gawk at! Grin If you won't get your hosp one until dec that is like 3 weeks away which as we all know can feel like a lifetime when waiting for something, so I definately think you should just go for it!
Gosh 18 months apart, that is insane!! So lovely for all the kids though to have so many siblings and cousins around you, will be so nice for them all growing up close together. I get on ok with my sister, but we are very different people and there is an 8 year age gap so aren't always on the same page really. We both have girls though so we share some ground there.
Ah Hungry I have been thinking tonight I should have been dtd more, stupid opks, now that I have seen a +ve I feel the pressure to dtd immediately!! Which is exactly the thing I didn't want to do on my month of 'not really trying'! I am worrying that I really need to dtd tonight, but my dh still isn't home from work and probably won't be for another hour and probably won't even be in the mood when he does get home, and I am so tired I just want to go to bed! Would it really make miuch difference if I left it til the morning? I think I probably will just go to bed now and try and stop worrying about it.
Very excited for you for mondays scan Mrs! Been meaning to ask has your DS noticed any changes or differences do you think? Since turning 2 my DD has been a classic terrible two, don't know who sent her the memo about how a 2 year old is meant to be cheeky, naughty and argumentative!!

HungryHorace · 16/11/2013 08:42

So, I just triple dipped IC OPK and HPT, as well as my hideously expensive OPK!

I've decided I'm not pregnant, so will stop testing for that and continue with the OPKs and EOD DTD. At some point my body will get back to normal.

Hope everyone is ok. :-)
