Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 20:26

Sorry, cycle day.

  1. Mine are usually 21. Last month was 26. 14dpo. Very definite bfns though Sad
HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 20:36

Bloody hell. I think we need to send out the search party for our AFs.

I'm 20 DPO. It's bonkers.

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 13/11/2013 23:14

Oh fuck. I googled. I should never bliming google. I'm now convinced that all my non existent symptoms can be explained by ectopic pregnancy. I only have one ovary and tube left (thanks endofuckingmetrosis) so this is worst night scenario. Why did I Google? Why?!

HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 01:38

Shit. I'm only just stopping myself worrying about that too, you know. Haven't googled yet though.

What will you do?

OP posts:
utopian99 · 14/11/2013 04:02

Google is not your friend - every time i use it for diagnosis it tells me ds has meningitis and i have cancer .
hungry I'm in your shoes too now. fairly sure sticks told me i was ov 16 days ago, we dtd plenty, but since then no af but two bfn s. argh! What's wrong with me?

Ds is now having a proper feed first thing in the morning , last thing at night (7ish) and normally one midday ish - surely this isn't enough to prevent ovulation and if so can ic sticks give false positives?

Lucy i'm with you in feeling a bit Sad, there were two pg mums at our toddler group yesterday and it just felt so unfair. there's a group holiday planned for next year which would be scuppered if i got pg now so keep telling myself to think of the bright side but now we'retrying it's just SO hard waiting .

HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 04:18

The sticks don't confirm OV, just show that your body has had the hormone surge prior. You can them not OV even if your sticks showed a positive.

Doing temp measuring or a blood test are the only ways to definitely joke if you've OV'd.

But, I'm sure you did. So join the missing AF club!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 14/11/2013 11:57

Atruth what are the signs you are worried about? My cycle was crazy right up to bfp. Think having baby just does that. My cycles went all the way up to 40 days and them dropped within a month to 31! I was so confused. I think the o sticks are good sigh your ov - maybe you're just having a longer cycle this month? I know it's hard the waiting game though!
I've succumbed to the sick bug doing the rounds (which I now think is what ds had last week).has head down the loo all of yesterday and some of the night. Tentatively just eaten toast and waiting...so anxious being so newly pg. does anyone have any knowledge of the impact it can have? Google was actually quite reassuring but I didn't search for long. Horrible not being able to talk to my mum but we are determined not to tell anyone til after my sisters scan.think I'm off back to bed x

HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 12:27

Toothpaste, baby will be fine as it gets priority over your nutrients. Make sure you get fluids and rest and you'll be fine :-)

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 12:33

Hope you feel better soon, Toothpaste?

Did you bf or ff?

My only issue with this seemingly long cycle is that a positive OPK on CD15 means I OV'd by CD17. My cycle really shouldn't have been longer than 31 days, but I'm on CD36 today. Assuming last week's spotting wasn't AF. And it didn't seem like one. Since when was AF a panty liner only affair?!

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 13:14

Oh, and ATruth, apparently you'll still get a BFP with an ectopic pregnancy, so I'm sure you're fine.

I was worried due to my weird bleeding and my right ovary has ached for ages. The lack of BFP has been kind of reassuring that it's not an ectopic pregnancy though.

What symptoms are you worried about?

mrsm22 · 14/11/2013 13:33

Hello ladies!

Let's stop all this Googleing! I am the worst for it and I think Utopian is right (I think it was Utopian). Whenever I have googled anything it has always come back and said that I am dying! I have always had bad circulation in my hands and feet (they go purple) and i googled that once and it said i had some kind of aids. Honestly ladies, do not even look. I am really tired this week as you know i was off last week but came bcak yesterday and am working today and tomorrow. I wanted to ask Hungry - did you have an early reassurance scan privately and was it good? Did they tell you how many weeks you are?
My situation is that the midwife and me thinks i am 10 or 11 weeks tomorrow but as my last period was the withdrawal bleed from stopping the pill, it is hard to tell. I still haven't got a date for my scan but am considering going private and getting one maybe next week as i am so excited and impatient. Any thoughts? of course i would still have the 12 week hospital one as you have to but it would just be nice to know it is growing in the right place and a heartbeat and how many babies and how many weeks i am! I have rang and it is £80 and i could go monday! What do we think?
Hungry - you are right re mat leave. I would get to take any acrued holiday first! Yippee!!! So how is everyone and where are the next BFPs?

Monstersaurus · 14/11/2013 13:35

Having spent the last week or so furiously symptom spotting, I'm now having a very weird AF. It arrived on cue yesterday, but is not its normal self. Not like an IB, and a BFN this morning so here's hoping that next month is more successful. It does seem that the rest of the world is currently happily announcing pregnancies.

Sounds like we all need to gather up our AFs and give them a stern talking to!

ATruth, Hungry is indeed correct - ectopics still give a BFP. Hope things settle down for you both.

Nice to read about the happier news too, glad that things are progressing well for the pregnant ones amongst us. Smile

HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 13:57

So last thread was really successful for BFPs, this one is successful for weird / missing AFs and bleeds. Great.

How do you mean weird, Monster? It could be an IB!

Mrs, yes, yes and yes. It was £50 and well worth it. I'd say go for it! :-)

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 13:59

Oh, and I had to take ALL of this year's leave as I wasn't going back during the current holiday year, not just what is accrued. And don't let them forget you're owed all the bank holidays too!

OP posts:
Monstersaurus · 14/11/2013 14:17

Hmmm, how to answer without TMI? Blush Usually AF arrives with a bit of a bang, but more of a fizzle this month. I had an IB last time (which I thought was AF) but it settled overnight. No such luck this time round.

Your scan sounds exciting Mrs. I would be very tempted, especially to find out how many weeks you are.

Toothpastekissesno2 · 14/11/2013 14:42

I've not been sick so far today just feel weak. Hopefully on the mend. I just want to go and get ds from the nanny but in my dreamS he would sit and cuddle me whilst I watch made in Chelsea and in reality he would want to crawl into danger, bite me and whinge if I sat on the sofa! Bless him.
Mrs I have decided to pay for early scan as I just want reassurance after being so violently sick. Holding out for as long as possible so booked in for 1 dec. hopefully 9 weeks by then. Also want to know if bad news before Christmas as that could be a terrible thing to deal with at that time. Mine is £100. Quite a lot but London prices I guess - worth it still I think!
Hungry if that was your af where would u be on your cycle? Just incase worth dtd? Lucy welcome back! Completely understand. I know it will happen soon for u. We have to remember the average is 6-12 months so there is nothing to worry about. It's just being patient which is hard Shock

Metalhead · 14/11/2013 14:45

Hi ladies, how are you all? Sorry to see there are still a few missing AFs and weird cycles going round. Hungry have you spoken to a doctor about your bleed? I think I would, they might be able to do a blood test or sth to tell you for sure whether your pregnant or not .

I'm desperately trying (and failing miserably) not to get my hopes up that this month was my lucky cycle! I'm about 11dpo, had really bad cramps and backache on Monday and Tuesday, along with awful bloating and today just a sort of deep ache in my pelvis. Stupidly jumped the gun and POAS yesterday which was bfn, but I'm hoping it was just still too early. We're going to visit the in-laws this weekend and I'm not taking any hpts, just going to try and relax and then test again next week if AF doesn't arrive early.

Oh and mrsm, I too had an early private scan last time at around 8 weeks - can only recommend it. They give you a date and you can see the heartbeat, it was very reassuring!

HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 15:32

Monster, from what others have said, that could still be an IB. :-) Test in a day or so.

And that's why I don't think my bleed / spotting was AF as it does exactly the same and starts with a bang! I don't do spotting.

Toothpaste. I have no idea. Because they say to count the first full day of proper bleeding as CD1 and I never had that, so I'm not sure which day that would have been! We started EOD DTD the other day anyway, just in case, so we are covering all bases!

Metalhead, I've not been to the GP yet. I suppose I should do, but I never find time for me. Always find time for DD to go, just not me! Do you reckon it's possible I could be pregnant? I've read about people who never get a BFP when POAS, but you don't expect to ever be one! Though I doubt I am pregnant. :-(

Fingers crossed for you this cycle. :-) It's impossible to relax about testing when TTC, isn't it?!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 14/11/2013 15:48

Sorry about the rather melodramatic post last night. Am still no closer to a solution. No af and very clear bfns Sad Confused Going to buy a first response test later to try in the morning. If no af by Monday I'll go to see doc for a check.

mrsm22 · 14/11/2013 16:02

Hi everyone,

Hi Monster - Thanks, yes I've gone and booked an early scan and it's on Monday at 6.40pm. It's cost (£80), we are in Leeds but i am just too impatient to wait and need to know if everything is ok. I am going to guess that I am 10/11 weeks but will be interesting to know. I pray everything is well. I can't stop eating and get very tired.
Hungry - I think you should mention all this to the GP, just to get a professional opinion, but it is up to you. And you just never know, you could be pregnant. I had forgotten about bank holidays. Will I get those even though I am part time and work 3 days?

Toothpaste - I'm sorry you have been so unwell. You have booked an early scan too. What are we all like, we worry when we're not getting pregnant and then we worry once we are! We do right though, fingers crossed for both of us then. Could you have got in sooner?

Hi Metal - Thank you, i hope it is everything i expect it to be. I had a private one at 20 weeks wih my DS but this is just to reassure me as i'm such a neurotic worrier!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 14/11/2013 19:14

V. Exciting re scan mrs. Will you upload a pic when you're done?

I'm out for this month Sad AF has shown up.

HungryHorace · 14/11/2013 20:25

Shit. Sorry, ATruth. :-(

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 14/11/2013 21:54

Meh. It's what I expected. At least I know where I am now. Hope you get your answer soon x
