Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Hi all, have been missing for ages due to ds combining his two favourite things - my phone and his bath .. Hmm

Still no af here either, despite ditching the mini pill 6 weeks ago. thought i had a positive ovulation test two weeks ago but pg test is still bfn so boo and sucks to that.
business is picking up so keep telling myself a bit more time isn't the end of the world and i get to enjoy having my figure back for longer but i'm.still Ragingly Impatient... (and not a little paranoid .)

How's everyone else? And welcome to the newbies !

mrsm22 · 12/11/2013 19:41

Hi Viking - my DS is nearly 23 months, so not a lot older than yours. He will be 2 at the end of December. Mine still has bottles, I didn't breast feed but I think they still feed until 3 and some even longer. So when did you start TTC?

VikingLady · 12/11/2013 19:44

Immediately after AF1! Oh, I know how long they can feed (am a bf peer supporter) but at all the groups I have gone to, all the people I have spoken to, NO-ONE has ever known a 20m who still spends at least 2.5 hours per day feeding. 30m in the morning (so I get a tiny lie in), a good hour whilst she naps (can't lever her off without waking her), 30m before bed and assorted feeds at other times. I have no problem with feeding her but do worry about the effect on my fertility! TBH when she was tiny she was attached all day. It does mean she sleeps through!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 12/11/2013 19:51

All these missing afs! U want them missing but not forever or atleast with a bfp in their place!
Welcome mrs999 and Viking.
Ds is getting better I think. Ate a little today and drank all his milk. Such a relief. I'm eating pizza in celebration (how does that work?!) I rang the hospital and got my scan date for 20 dec. I'm so excited! Though seems long way off. Counting the days / weeks...
Hope everyone else is having a good day x

mrsm22 · 12/11/2013 20:00

Hi Toothpaste - Glad your DS is getting better. How come you rang the hospital for your scan date? How many weeks are you? I'm only asking as I'm waiting for my scan date and now wondering if I can ring and chase mine or if it won't be done yet x

mrsm22 · 12/11/2013 20:02

Oh and great news about your scan date, that's a lovely date with it being the week before Xmas. I'm back to work tomo after 11 days off and really not looking forward to it. I have loved being with my DS every day. The other thing is that I look very pregnant with my bump already and I'm sure people at work are going to talk.

jazzy283 · 12/11/2013 22:05

Hi everyone can I join in to we have ds who is 16 mths and have been ttc #2 since July :( and I'm turning obsessive already I am 35 dh is 36 it took us 11 mths ttc ds hope it done take as long this time

HungryHorace · 12/11/2013 23:38

Hi Jazzy! Welcome to the madhouse.

Toothpaste, yay for a pre-Christmas scan.

Mrs, did your midwife say when your appt would appear? Will you chase it up?

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 12/11/2013 23:41

Forgot to say...I've ordered some cheap OPKs. So as I've no idea what's going on I'll be double dipping OPKs with HPTs until either AF or BFP. :-)

If the cheap OPK shows a result I'll then use my smiley ones to confirm. My expensive ones are too dear to use on WTF cycles!

OP posts:
Toothpastekissesno2 · 13/11/2013 07:43

Haha hungry completely! U will be weeing on a lot of sticks! Hopefully there will be some smiley faces soon.
Mrs I knew my 12 weeks fell on 20th and didn't want to run the risk of being told to wait til new year so the dr suggested I ring them once I'd been referred. I have to say I wasn't expecting them to be so helpful! I just said I would working away from jan (slight white lie!) and was very keen to get in done pre Christmas. They rang me straight back and booked me in. Amazed! Sometimes the nhs really surprises you! Mrs u will def gets yours soon I'm sure. My hosp said two weeks from referral but I guess every area different.
Ds eating toast and honey having refused banana pirridge and shreddies. Anything to make him eat!

HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 09:12

Well, I'd rather two lines on an HPT than a smiley on an OPK, but we shall see. CD35 today. Possibly. No sign of AF proper. But, we started EOD DTD last night, so if that spotting was AF then at least we are covering our bases for potential OV! How complicated!

And the NHS can be amazing, can't it, Toothpaste? :-)

Morning ladies, sorry I have been absent for awhile. I found out one of my close friends is expecting no.2 next year, her dc has only just turned one and it got me quite upset Sad so I have been trying to not think about ttc quite so much, it was my dd's birthday last week so I just wanted to enjoy that as much as possible! I have decided to take a bit of a break this month too, I just can't cope with the emotional upheaveal of it all! I suppose I am being a little bit dramatic but I had sort of pinned my hopes on it happening by christmas when we started trying in the summer and I just don't think that is going to happen. I've got a few nights out coming up too and I think I'm just going to let myself have a few drinks and relax and put some serious effort in in the new year. (Still ttc though so who knows maybe 'giving up' will work!!)
Have just been catching up anyway so sorry if I miss anybody out. Hungry sorry you're still having the AF/BFN saga!! So bizarre, and just so annoying for you. I'm still positive, even more than ever now, you will get a bfp at the end of it all, and it will be worth all the waiting. After all the strangeness it couldn't be anything else really surely??
HUgs to all the poorly babies, hope they are all right as rain in time to eat lots of cake and open presents at christmas!!
Toothpaste so glad you got the scan date you wanted! That is amazing that they were so helpful for you, bet you can't wait to tell everyone now!! Hope your sis is doing ok too? Are you going to do the grand reveal with the scan pic in a xmas card!?
Boo to going back to work Mrs but not long to go now for you!! Hope you manage to keep it a secret from work until you are ready to tell them yourself. Good luck with your scan!
ATruth fingers crossed for a bfp for you soon!!!
Hello to all the newbies too...sorry I probably have missed loads of things out....

mrsm22 · 13/11/2013 11:45

Hi everyone, i'm here at work (sadly). I've noticed one person keeps looking at my quite obvious bump but I just ignore it as I know by law they are not allowed to ask and it is up to me when i choose to disclose. I will chase my scan up next monday if it hasn't come by then but i think i need to leave it until then.

Welcome Jazzy!

Lucy- Don't be sad about your friend. It is always like rubbing salt into wounds when you are waiting for something yourself. How was your DD's birthday? Did you have a party?

Toothpaste - I rang the hopsital last time as i didn't get a scan date and they gave me it over the phone. They can be quite good. I bet you are excited for yours on 20th Dec. Mine should be end of this month or early December so it should come soon, i hope. Patience and all that.

ATruth and Hungry - Don't know what to say, but let's hope two more BFP's really soon for you both and of course everyone else xx

Mrsb999 · 13/11/2013 13:22

All these abbreviations sound vv complex to me!! does anyone use an ovulation app for their phone? I'm trying to find a good one to track things.

Also after some advice. I got put on cerezette about a month ago, I didn't complete the full strip as we decided to TTC. I had 2 periods within 3 weeks on it the last of which started on or around 29/10/13, my cycles are usually 28 days so do that mean I could be ovulating now and therefore fertile?

I do get pains when I ovulate which I'm getting now it's just I'm wondering whether the pill could've messed things up!

HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 14:02

I use My Days as a cycle monitor. I quite like it.

Do you mean your cycle when you're not on the pill, Mrs? If so then yes, get DTD!!

I'm sorry about your friend, Lucy. I was just thinking about you earlier on my way to yoga with DD that I hadn't seen you around. It's a kick in the teeth. I totally understand.

As for what's going on with me? Who bloody knows?! It's a nightmare not having a clue. I really hope it's just a shy BFP, but every BFN means I lose a little more hope.

At least DH is getting some action again, ha ha! :-)

Mrs, I hate people who make it obvious they know about your pregnancy. Just sit tight til after your scan. Not long to wait now, I'm sure.

OP posts:
Mrsb999 · 13/11/2013 14:51

Ok we've been DTD since Sunday so fingers crossed we have caught my fertile window this month. When's the earliest I can test?

HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 15:28

About 10DPO is the very earliest. Wise women (not me!) don't test til they're late. :-)

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 13/11/2013 16:43

Thanks Hungry - yes sitting tight! I have struggled at work today with tiredness, but i'm finishing at 5pm. I wish i hadn't come back to work now at all. I defo will be goin on mat leave at the earliest which i think is 11 weeks before your due date. Can anyone back this up for me? I am going home to home made lentil soup for tea followed by hot roast chicken. Does that sound nutritious? I'm trying my best. I can't believe the bump i have already, anyway they either think i'm eating too many pies at work or they know. Can't decide which and don't overly care. How are you feeling Hungry?

HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 17:22

Yeah, it's 11 weeks before EDD. How will your annual leave work? I had to take mine before mat leave started, so that could 'win' you an even earlier finish. :-)

I'm feeling nothing! Not pregnant / not like AF is going to appear. Most odd. God knows what's going on.

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 17:23

Oh, your dinner sounds lovely. :-)

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 13/11/2013 19:20

I think we need a new thread. Seriously. The last one was lucky. This one is rubbish. Have we had any bfps since we swapped?

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 13/11/2013 19:22

And mrs your tea sounds v nutritious. Well done. All I managed for the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy was crisp sandwiches, apples and jacket potatoes. Literally nothing else held any appeal!

HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 19:58

None. :-(

I take full responsibility what with starting the thread and then leading the charge with a cracking WTF cycle.

Any AF, ATruth?

OP posts:
ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 13/11/2013 20:00

Nada. And I poas in a hotel bathroom at a meeting today. Big fat negative.

HungryHorace · 13/11/2013 20:13

I POAS too. Can't get more negative than I got. What CD are you on now? Tomorrow marks my longest cycle ever. Assuming I'm still on the cycle I was on before the spotting!
