Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Eurgh.

Going to apologise in advance for this post......

CD12 here and I am not apparently OVing yet. Nothing on OPK and no temp changes. But in-laws coming Fri-Sun (CD14-16). And I normally OV CD17 so that is smack bang in the middle of shagging time. DH will not dtd with them in the next room. I should get going.

But I feel so unsexy. I am exhausted and it's dark and cold outside. And what's the sodding point if I'm not OV yet?

Sorry, I know this is really really self-indulgent and I feel pretty stupid about it, given the actual serious problems others have. But, work is a bit rough at the moment and I am so tired. I keep thinking I don't have headspace for this, I can't be bothered, it's never going to happen. I know that is an awful thing to say esp when I don't know that we do have physical problems other than DH's ED and my weird cervix, but I just feel like dtd is this pointless sterile ritual that will not work.

Does anyone else ever feel that way or am I just a massive drama queen?? Tell me, I can take it.....

FeatherFeather11 · 30/10/2013 19:01

rp you basically just summed up how I feel a lot of the time and I'm sure others feel the same. It's so, so difficult when it all keeps piling up this way - trying to have a life while TTC seems impossible. Everyone has their down days - as you probs saw earlier in the thread, mine was yesterday. Is there any way you could send the inlaws out for an hour while they're visiting? Is their a job they could do for you that means you could have the house to yourselves for a bit? Hope you feel better soon. Flowers

barking brill news on Provera! Think you should take it when it feels right for you to do so.

Can't see earlier thread on my phone but will have a gander when I get home.

FeatherFeather11 · 30/10/2013 19:03

I meant there not their, obvs!

barkingtreefrog · 30/10/2013 19:43

Who was it that has taken Provera? I've been told to take one tablet twice a day for 7 days. When should I expect AF to start? Is AF likely to be worse than usual? I'm not sure what to expect as I know the first AF after mc can be nasty but if it's been brought on by drugs would that make a difference?!

rp been there too. Not in the mood, both stressed from work, both knackered, but it's shag week.... Feels forced and not much fun. 23 months on the whole thought of 'making a baby' has lost all its romanticism. And that's without your additional stuff to get round. Don't beat yourself up about it. Thanks . And I second the idea of plotting a way to get the inlaws out of the house for a little while Wink .

RevoltingPeasant · 30/10/2013 19:44

Aw thanks Feather. No they have small Dc ( Envy ) so we have to work round them. I do feel like an asshole for posting that - I mean, I'm basically saying I can't be bothered today - but then how can I expect anyone else to sympathise if I'm not helping myself?

FeatherFeather11 · 30/10/2013 20:12

barking I've taken it twice. First time I was told to take one tablet a day for five days and the second for ten days. Period arrived 7th day when I took it for ten days - it was a four day 'normal' flow. I usually have really heavy painful ones so it seemed like a walk in the park in comparison, but if imagine it's different for everyone.

rp don't feel bad. It's just the way it is. We all got a lot on our plates right now.

I'm off home to drown in a carb coma. Mashed potato, come to mama!

BlindKitty · 30/10/2013 21:54

barking I reckon you should hold off being as you're a bit crampy anyway and af might be due. Have you opk'ing lately?

barkingtreefrog · 30/10/2013 22:33

Gave up and got bored of opks. It's been 8 weeks! No temp rise. I'll try and wait until the weekend, if no AF by Saturday morning I'll do yet another hpt to check it's definitely bfn pretty obvious as I haven't ovulated but best to make sure then start the Provera.

Bunnygirlie · 30/10/2013 23:34

Apologies in advance for not reading up (on tiny itouch now instead of usual iPad)

Berries I need wanging! I am on holiday and I'm grumpy! I am hoping its just tiredness after 10hours of travelling but the room is a bit crappy too, ground floor so no view and no double bed as requested PLUS they have put us in the family area, bastards! Talk about rubbing it in! I also think I'm getting a cold and possibly AF! Gosh I'm a barrel of laughs aren't I, think I best go to bed! zzzzzzz

BlindKitty · 31/10/2013 06:54

bunny demand a room change! Tell them how this us your honeymoon and you're not willing to sleep in 2 single beds and that your already planning your terrible trip advisor review. Failing that, call the rep (if you're with a tour operator) and ask to be moved! You deserve a decent holiday!

PuppyMummy · 31/10/2013 09:20

bunny I agree, ask to change rooms and make a fuss if they wont.

Me and oh r currently enjoying a twin room (on hols with our friends and baby so they hav master room so they can hear baby) but we quite like sleeping apart when it's warm at night!

hope u hav a relaxing holiday bunny

FeatherFeather11 · 31/10/2013 11:37

bunny definitely demand a room change!!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 31/10/2013 12:30

Good afternoon! How is everyone doing? I'm CD15 and noticed EWCM this morning so unbeknownst to DH, shag week officially commences today. We will be apart tomorrow night so I wonder if a morning DTD counts! Grin

SidneyBristow · 31/10/2013 12:46

Because morning shags had better count! If not, I'm sunk! Wink Good luck for shag week. I'm CD15 also, but have only been getting faint lines on OPK sticks - no idea what to make of that so I'm treating them as positive and getting on with it.

RP I totally relate; TTC sex can be soul-destroying depending on what mindframe you're in, and if you're anything like me, I can get through 10 different mindframes a day...

Bunny hope you've changed rooms by now; ground floor might be doable but twin beds are definitely not on! Is it nice weather at least? Thanks

Barking I think your plan's a good one, of holding off til the weekend; as long as you're inducing AF you may as well do it at the most convenient time, right?

Quiet day here today...

BecauseIsaidS0 · 31/10/2013 16:33

Sidney, I just POASed and very clear strong line on OPK, so DH better be ready.

ladybunnikins · 31/10/2013 16:38

5dp5dt and BFP... keeping fingers crossed!

barkingtreefrog · 31/10/2013 16:42

Woohoo lady!!!! Grin Grin

Bunnygirlie · 31/10/2013 16:49

Hello ladies! Happy bunny now, we have changed rooms, lovely view, double bed, only adults area Smile Time for a siesta and a berry catch up.

How is everyone? barking hope you get AF sorted soon.

sid and because good luck for shag week!

RP TTC sex is no fun at all, the way I feel about it right now I'd be quite happy never to do it again Shock

CD25 here but no idea when to expect AF, my usual 28ish day cycles have been weird lately, 32 and 24 days probably due to stress from FC appt and my op. wondering if first AF since op will be different!

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 31/10/2013 17:58

rp bunny we've JUST started to dtd again! Think we needed a break from 2 1/2 years of monotonous baby making sex. Am pleased to say we're finally enjoying it again lol. Baby making sex is SUCH hard work!

FeatherFeather11 · 31/10/2013 18:52

Yay! lady fx for you!

Glad you have a better room now bunny

I'm now 15dpo, still getting bfns, cramping and bloated, but no more signs of af. Cm is back to normal now and no longer pinky brown. Just want it to arrive now so I can get on with the next round! Grr...

BlindKitty · 31/10/2013 19:41

lady have everything crossed for you! Roll on otd!!!

ladybunnikins · 31/10/2013 20:21

Thank you! Really disappointed with my new neighbourhood, only 2 trick-or-treaters, I had loads last year! It means I've got a big bowl of goodies left, can I interest anyone in maltesers, milky bar buttons or haribo?

barkingtreefrog · 31/10/2013 20:27

Yes lady! Send them my way! Grin Grin

DP bought a big box of mini chocolate bars last weekend for halloween. I pointed out we wouldn't be here for Halloween. We ate them all Blush . Then came back early..... Shock

ladybunnikins · 31/10/2013 20:35

Ah well, you'll have worked that off with all your extra exercise!

Gillster · 31/10/2013 22:50

Exciting news lady, hoping it remains sticky.

Glad you got your room sorted Bunny, hope the rest of your holiday is fab and relaxing.

Well DH and I attended an IVF info evening at our local FC earlier. Was very informative and I now feel that DH is a lot more up to speed with the process. There were about 15 other couples there so it was reassuring to see that it wasn't just us (IYSWIM). The Q and A bit at the end was quite interesting - you could totally tell what people's issues were by the nature of their questions.
