Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Depends kitty, seems to change from month to month - anywhere between 26-59 day cycles for the last year. And to be totally honest! I'm not sure what a luetel phase is exactly. Last day of a period till the first day of the next one?

Foodylicious · 29/10/2013 22:28

Good old wiki feather
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_cycle

barkingtreefrog · 29/10/2013 22:30

Aha Pip! Friday the 13th is lucky for some! Friends of mine got married on Friday 13th! Grin

All fingers and toes crossed for you. Smile

Can't believe that article. Really?! But then a very sensible, intelligent friend of mine who has started ttc this year was telling me she already had something similar to the cbfm as she used to use it to learn her cycles in order to avoid pg Hmm Confused . Seemed a little risky to me!

Talked to DP about fc appointment earlier. 'What are we going for again?' he said. Hmm Er, it's been 8 weeks and I haven't had AF?!?! Anyway, I pointed out we can also ask where we stand on IVF referral if clomid doesn't work a second time but DP reckons we're going to be told to wait another 6 months before we can go on the waiting list given it worked once. He's probably right but we shall wait and see.

Are you late feather or do you have a 14 day LP?

barkingtreefrog · 29/10/2013 22:32

Sorry feather x post. Luteal phase is number of days between O and AF. Usually pretty fixed regardless of cycle length.

Bunnygirlie · 29/10/2013 22:53

Just come on to say grrrrrrrrr another pregnancy announcement by a 'celeb' (Tom from McFly) Envy

OP posts:
FeatherFeather11 · 29/10/2013 23:09

Ok, well in that case, I only OV when I get the trigger, which is three times in the last six months. The months I did get the trigger, LP was 13 or 14 days. Every month without OV/trigger, LP has been anywhere between 21 days onwards. Basically, I'm screwed and I'm never going to get pregnant.

FeatherFeather11 · 29/10/2013 23:11

Ok, maybe that was a touch dramatic. Sorry all. I'm dragging my arse to bed now.

Good luck tomorrow barking - look forward to hearing how you got on.

Night everyone x

Bunnygirlie · 29/10/2013 23:24

Yay to another cycle pip, wishing you all the luck in the world hun x

Grrrrr to those with AF, it's so crappy!

Well I'm all ready, packed bikini and nice frocks and of course doofers for when AF arrives mid holiday Sad

Will try to pop in now and again from the 'sun lounger of forgetting about TTC for now!'

Adios!

Bunnygirlie · 29/10/2013 23:25

Good luck barking
Doofers Bunny????

BlindKitty · 30/10/2013 07:10

feather you will, although I guess you're sick of people saying that? Smile

bunny have an amazing time! You totally deserve it

barking good luck for today

barkingtreefrog · 30/10/2013 08:22

feather you will, but it might take a little more time and some more help if it hasn't happened this cycle. Thanks What's your next step?

Berries, a question for you - disclaimer, I'm waffling as usual so for question without the waffle just scroll to the bottom DP's parents have very kindly given us some money for the wedding (we said we didn't want to take it but they gave the same to his siblings for their weddings so they insisted). As we've pretty much got the wedding costs under control I suggested spending the money on a honeymoon instead. Before the mc this wouldn't have been possible as I would have been giving birth at Easter (the next available school holiday after the wedding). So it seems even more sensible to be having a nice holiday instead. In my positive head, this will be the last holiday we have before a baby although I said that about the last two big holidays so it seems sensible to fly as far as possible (ie flights you wouldn't want to do with baby) and go to either Australia or New Zealand. We both have friends in both places as well but neither of us have been to either country.
However in my even more positive head I'll be pg again by then.

Is it sensible to book long haul flights and have 34 hours of flight/airport time if I could be anything between 1 and 5 months pg?

sorry for the long waffle Blush

barkingtreefrog · 30/10/2013 08:25

ps bunny have a lovely holiday and thanks everyone for the good luck for my appointment. Not until this afternoon so I'll update later!

happylass · 30/10/2013 08:27

Morning from the Peak District. Did a 10 mile walk yesterday and now don't think I can get out of bed

Good luck for today Barking hope you get all the help and answers you deserve.

Great news on the IVF Pip. Am certain that this will be your turn.

Have a fab holibobs Bunny . Am not at all Envy!!

Sorry if I've left anyone out, am struggling to read back any further on my phone. Last day in the Peaks today, heading to Manchester later where DP is working til Sunday and I'm tagging along to hit the shops Have a good day all

Gillster · 30/10/2013 09:08

Do the holiday Barking. We went to NZ for our honeymoon and it was fab. Whilst the flights were long they weren't as bad as I'd thought they'd be. You need to make the most of the opportunities when you can. X

Bunnygirlie · 30/10/2013 09:20

Yep merkin we used to call them doofers in our house lol

Thanks all for the happy holiday wishes, I can't wait! x

I like the 'sun lounger of forgetting about TTCing' Bunny.
I might have to join you there!

FeatherFeather11 · 30/10/2013 13:45

barking I'd take the plunge and book your honeymoon. I'm originally from that end of the world and flew back to London with my bro and sil when she was four months preg and she was fine. Oh, and I have one more round of clomid then moving on to IUI.

pip brill news on the ivf!

bunny have a great time on hols! Cocktails! Sun!

Thanks everyone for your kind words yesterday and sorry again about my wobble. Woke up this morn to nothing - discharge has stopped. Did another hpt and got another bfn. Not sure what's going on!

BlueBirdy · 30/10/2013 15:02

Hey Barking, I'm hoping to be up to 6 month gone when we travel to South Africa in April next year, only 11hrs direct or a few hours extra with a stop-over, so not as much traveling.. a good idea would be to book your tickets as soon as you can then you can specify and book your seats sooner - there is normally a little map of the seats and you can choose ones at the front of a section - that way you get a little area all to yourself to stretch your legs out (well, except when people come to pray). Hope the appt when well today!

Feather, hope you find out soon - no harm in still having FX for you!

Well I started temping again for the first time in ages, and turns out Ov was on cd13 Hmm I wonder how long this has been going on!?! All of 2011 it was on CD16! Confused I suppose at least some of the 'fertile' days over-lap, but still I've been missing out on at least one important shag per cycle... grrr... Guess that is why you should never assume!

SidneyBristow · 30/10/2013 15:06

Ooh feather it's not over til AF shows up to stay...my cycles have gone a little wonky so I know what you feel like, but hang in there Thanks

hi pip glad you've got a plan in place, something to look ahead to, right? that article is chilling; I can't believe more people aren't worried about STIs!

happy jealous of your your holiday but not of your sore feet!!

CD14 over here and not a single definite +OPK stick yet, just faint line ones so not sure if I should consider them as negative, or positives. Starting to wonder if Consultant was right when he said I was close to ovulation at my scan a week ago. Halloween Confused

barkingtreefrog · 30/10/2013 16:04

Well, the consultant was more friendly than he was last time. He asked if I was ready to start again and then gave me a prescription for provera but said he'd advise waiting another week or two. I asked about next steps given we will have been trying 2 years in December but predictably he said we needed to do another 5 months on clomid first and he'll see us in March. He said there's every chance it will work again but could take 5 cycles rather than happen straight away. I agree if clomid works it's much preferable to IVF, I suppose I just hoped we'd be able to get on the waiting list while we continued with the clomid so we had a back up plan in place rather than another gap then another wait if IVF is necessary.

Oh well. Got the Provera anyway. What do you reckon, should I wait two weeks before taking it? Hmm Ha ha.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 30/10/2013 16:37

barking we've booked our (very delayed) honeymoon for February. I kept putting it off because I was convinced I'd be pregnant by then but finally DH put his foot down and we are going to the other end of the world. As he says, if we have to lose the deposit because I'm pregnant it won't be such a bad thing (I personally would be a bit miffed but I'm tighter than he is).

barkingtreefrog · 30/10/2013 16:48

because I booked two flights to New Zealand this morning Grin . We'll still be going if I am pg though! The itinerary might not involve as much climbing, biking and running as it might do otherwise though! Grin

Why would you have to lose your deposit if you're pg?

BecauseIsaidS0 · 30/10/2013 16:50

Well done! Smile

We'd lose it if we decide not to go because I'm pg. But I can't imagine why we wouldn't go. Bad things can happen at home too.

barkingtreefrog · 30/10/2013 17:08

It's only a risk to fly if you're 7 months+ (and then only depending on individual circumstances). I looked into it all before our summer trip. We waited until 7 months before the return date to book the tickets. Ironically I was pg by the return flight. FX I'll be pg on both flights in April! It would certainly help me get through the edd (which we will now be in NZ for).
