The former thread proved full of sadness and most vexatious disappointments, wherefore we know not :(. Therefore the BESH will be donning their empire dresses and enlisting the assistance of Captain Wentworth and his admirable breeches and Mr Darcy smouldering damply in his transparent white shirt both of whom with their pleasing countenances and sound judgements and enormous fortunes, in short both of whom are everything a young man ought to be in the expectation that happier times may be ahead for the BESH.

moll I think you said that before, sorry for forgetting. Vair cool.

euro grr for hide-and-seek playing egg. My prog was 28 so I suppose I could have ov'd a bit later and it was still rising. Clutching at straws or remaining sensible, not sure.

Tesco have sold out of the Easter egg HWCA wants. It is a bad egg day all round :)

TWink I never got a higher progesterone than 28 and my consultant was happy with that! I think they'd rather see it over 50 but around 30 is usually acceptable...

TWinklyLittleStar · 28/03/2013 16:50

Hmm. I was told today that under 30 was Bad News. (paraphrasing.) Interesting.

My initial ones were about 15 then 20. Consultant was satisfied that 28 indicated I'd ovulated. That in conjunction with an ok HSG and fanny cam meant he thought all our ishoos were male factor....then after MSB had been treated we saw a Locum who said given that my progesterone was on the low side and after treatment MSB's swimmers were much better but on the low side of normal, he felt our best option was to go for IVF. Next cycle I got diffed...clearly different consultants have a different view of what's acceptable....

I just had the hamster PTS :( I am very sad. RIP little Smokey.

twink I really wouldn't worry. I was also told that 30 is what is needed. My result was 30.0 so I just squeaked in. I've had loads of monitored cycles now and appeared to ov on every one. I can't believe that 2 points makes a difference. There's a thread on the board somewhere about prog levels with a few people on it saying they got levels that meant they were told they were not ovulating and got pg that month! I've seen that elsewhere too. If you'd said the result was 2 I would accept you weren't ovulating but I'd bet that you are.

Aw, faif. I'm sorry about the poor hammy. As one life passes, another will soon start.

I did cry a bit :( it was sad but he was ready to go...he's running round in hamster heaven now :)

That doesn't sound right bugs. Hope you're chilling with a Wine now?!

I bet he's running on the biggest hamster wheel EVA.

I can't wait for wine. I usually give up something for Lent (I'm an atheist but do it for personal reasons I won't bore you with now). This year, I got my BFP two days before Lent so I was off caffeine and alcohol anyway. When it all went wrong, I decide to keep going with the no alcohol until the end of Lent. I have never needed a glass of wine more and I am very much looking forward to Sunday. :)

Good luck with the ovaries and progesterones those who need it Wine

Fanks faif and euro. Just panicked a little bit because my fsh level was 1, and the lh-fsh ratio was 5.7:1, so Dr Google suggested that my body can't be arsed to mature eggs. Feel stupid for getting a bit upset earlier. Y'all must think I'm a moron.

euro you've done really well. I've not had a drink since NYE as part of Project Good Eggs and wanted one badly tonight. Didn't help that I was at the worst leaving do ever. A 6th floor rooftop bar? £25 for 4 drinks? Fuck off. Oh and you don't have to be cool to have a satchel. I am so far from being cool I am human anti-freeze.

faif sorry about.Smokey. As I said, I sobbed when our little hammy died, pets are part of the family.

Molly glad the droid followed the post POAFiver rules at least. What's the surgery for?

bugs did you do any sewing? And dare I question what state your toilet was in that it took all evening to clean?!

In other egg news, Asda came up trumps with HWCA's Easter egg, and I was entertained first by security arguing with a banned shoplifter then a security guard having screaming habdabs with a member of staff in the middle of the checkouts Shock

Shock At the Easter madness twinks. Surgery is lap&dye to check me tooobes and also to investigate my slightly odd floating fibroid/cyst lumpy bit and maybe remove it.

Report
TWinklyLittleStar · 28/03/2013 23:38

Ah yes, the Cystery. Do they say anything about TTCing leading up to the surgery? Presumably it's a bad idea?

Its not just Easter madness, alas. I went to the Asda near where I work and it's always like that. shithole

They did say no ttc. We did this month anyway as we still have no date for the op, but I've had the pre-op now so I think we'll have to leave ttc alone this cycle. I'm going to temp/opk anyway since this months results were so wildly different from the last time I monitored.

Apologies for whispering in public, but: Norf, stupid app won't let me reply to PM. I am neither of those people..

Morning hags.
Tenby has been called off because the camper is snowed in so tho Easter weekend I shall be mainly a) working out b) planning holiday (two weeks), c) catching up on coursework :( and d) tidying the last of the unpacked boxes in the spare room.

Sorry about the dodgy result Twink but like others have said, I can't see that 2 points will make much difference.

Bravo on the teetotalness too Euro and Twinks.I have never managed more than two weeks. is impressed

How's the sewing going bugs? I wish I could sew but I am far from safe with anything sharp. Or creative :/

Faif your poor hamster :( always sad when pets go, especially when they have to be PTS, horrible.

Thanks Thanks I am happy I did the right thing with him which gives me peace. I have cleaned out the cage etc and we gave him a little burial. Still seems a bit funny not to see him pootling round though - he lived between the kitchen and dining area so I'd see him most mornings!

Rasp you have a camper? What kind? We as a family have a VW T25 called Betty :)

Twink I went to Tesco yesterday, anyone would think the Armageddon was coming...it was horrendous and being kept barging me (despite my obvious size now). Online shopping from here on in!

Twinks I don't think you're a moron at all. It's completely normal to be angsty over results, particularly when the interpretation seems to differ from dr to dr!

Did the bar have a view of St Paul's? If so, we had our Xmas do there and I wasn't particularly impressed. Or are you out of London? I have an appalling memory.

Oh god yes - bank holiday supermarkets. The one advantage of me being at work is that KFZK will get to brave that on his own...

V noisy too if you are in the restaurant area, as the bar is in the same room. You have to shout at your dinner companions! I much prefer the Jamie Oliver place over there - great meat. :)
