Any older mums ttc (late 30s)?

I was just wondering how many of the ttc people were in their late 30s or 40s.

I am 38 and started ttc this year. It would be nice if we could support each other.

Sorry haven't read the thread but just to let you know it is possible. I had my first at 38 after trying for 6 years and getting no help. Had my second after 3 years with help from the conception clinic. Just had a lovely surprise this Christmas I'm pregnant again without even trying to conceive and with no help. It's only 18 months after my second was born and I will be 43 when it's born. So it is possible. Good luck to everyone TTCing hope 2007 is your year.

Hi, I am new to MN and I am ttc for my first, 40 in May...
Been trying for a year now and starting to get a bit worried.
Does anyone know anything about what to do if you don't notice any 'eggwhite' mucous during ovulation?

Missmyrtle · 03/03/2009 07:07

Hi, I am new here too so if it's okay I will just pop in here.
I am 38 in a few days and have been TTC for three years. Those years were with a BF with sluggish sperm and I guess I had given up but now have a much younger BF who is desperate TC. Mmm..I don't want to go through all the agony of hoping again but my body clock is jumping off the wall.
I had one MC in 2006 at 9wks and have 1 DD who who is almost 18. Long gap...fitness is awful now and a bit overweight not to mention my love of G&T's .
My GP said there is no reason for infertility in me but I can't help wonder if losing some pounds would help??

Good to see this thread even if it started quite a while ago - its really cheered me up. I'm 39 TTC no.2 - has DS when I was 36 - I got pregnant last year but it didn't work out so have been trying since about last October. Some positive stories that it can happen are just what I need when I'm feeling down about it all!!
