Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

Gorgeous dress, faith. I know what you mean about cotton, but I think if it is the first time you've worn the item, it looks so much fresher than cotton that's been through the wash a few times that it's almost like a different material. Also, starch does wonders for making thin cotton look a bit more oomphy for special occasions. Are you wearing a hat?

Luffly dress Faith Grin

I am working on a new fred title, looks like we're agreed on a horsey theme?

LauraPalmerish · 22/06/2012 18:49

Please can I stay around? I like horses...

HaveALittleFaith · 22/06/2012 18:49

Ooh I think my sister has a purple fascinator....I will wear strappy silver sandals if it's fine and purple Mary Janes if it's not. It needs an iron cos it's puffy round the skirt but yes with a fascinator or hat it'll look smart won't it?!

Yes to the horsey theme cave!

Evening BESHs (BESHes?)

Thanks for all the hellos and intros

Blonder - wow wow wow re being 20 whole weeks of diffed-up-ness! Massive massive milestone passed. Really pleased for you.

LP - hello and am thrilled that today went well. Sounds like you had a really good sonographer, which makes all the difference. bugs shame yours wasn't as good. If they'd said all that business about measurements not always being consistent before 12 weeks you might have left there feeling a lot better. Either way will be keeping everything crossed for you (albeit in a quiet non-reminding you type of way).

euro - how was fanny cam? Did they see and do what they needed to?

faif love that frock. Definitely reckon you can dress it up. Where is the wedding? I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and wore a relatively informal cotton sundress but with a cream blazer type jacket, little skinny belt round the waist and some quite serious jewellery. Dressed it up a treat.

Grin re new definitions of babydust.... Personally I am more even offended by baby-dancing which is apparently the Barbie euphemism for the sechs. I mean seriously.....

New fred here.

Farewell Republic of Rulvakia!

[runs around with pair of coconut shells to sound like horses hooves]

HaveALittleFaith · 22/06/2012 19:02

Ooh I have found this humpy the wedding is in a hall in Birmingham. Will probably end up spending more on accessories than the bargainous dress!

I looked at at thread and decided not to respond because the OP was called babydust something...AIBU? It's just not very....MNetty!

CamelKnees · 22/06/2012 19:11

Oooh nice faif and definitely worth a try. That will also go with loads of other summery things so hopefully cost per wear (my number one financial measure of a bargain, as opposed to actual price, much to HY's dismay) will make it worthwhile.

CaveMum · 22/06/2012 19:19

Ahem! NEW FRED

[needy]

HaveALittleFaith · 22/06/2012 19:22

Farewell Rulvakia!

LauraPalmerish · 22/06/2012 21:20

Farewell, dear Rulvulkia...I never quite learned how to spell your name, but you will be missed all the same.

alwyn · 23/06/2012 13:39
