The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia

Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

Fellow citizens of Rulvakia!

Massive good luck to LP and euro today, nice beating hearts and perfect fanjo requests here. Really hope it sorts out the cervix and you get the ok for continuing the IVF-cycle! Thinking of you too bugsy

How nice to have a round up with all the diffed ESH popping by. Wow 20weeks blonde Shock But why oh why do you have so much fun when I have a HIDEOUSLY BUSY day at work? GRRR. Welcome to the camel even if you are fresh not only in meet but also in menkulling. Liked the BESHtonaire (saw it yesterday and then had to do something, how unreasonable). In any case, hope your stay is short and sweet.

I am lemon married to Skinny Bint for nearly 2 years, trying to win a baybee for exactly 2 years and I fall into the unexplained category. But that might change as I am going for a lap soon (the coming cycle or next, depending on how busy they are) after three failed IUIs.

Besides that I am intending to do baybee dancing with my own sweet nephew later today. I reckon it counts faif - terrible music and happy dancy baybee= diffedness right? That other thing is called sechsing, camel, but I guess you'd know that from your beshtionaire. Oh and Hmm at ground up baybee. Must check whether you asked sinky...

Impressed at cumber ogling, blonde and at cultural outings cave. I checked you out too, and you look LOVELY, btw!

Right that is all for now, I guess, except a quick demand for some lemony baking for me camel and perhaps the gin a little later!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 22/06/2012 08:53

On the topic of seeing your fanjo - do they usually show you the pics of your lap? I would be interested but SB would be sick...

CaveMum · 22/06/2012 10:13

Any news???

Northey · 22/06/2012 10:47

No exciting scan or fanjo news, but I am very much enjoying Ascot, even if I am just admiring the crowds as I scurry through to the hospital.

CaveMum · 22/06/2012 11:14

How fast do you get your results back Norf?

My boss has just phoned from Ascot and said it is ver windy, do lots of loose hats!

Northey · 22/06/2012 11:21

Very VERY windy. Umbrellas inside out, and women keeping a prudent hand on floppy skirts. And I've seen two tumbles from high heels and slippy surfaces already.

She said phone in a week.

Northey · 22/06/2012 11:22

I do feel a bit conspicuous in combats.

LauraPalmerish · 22/06/2012 12:00

I just wanted to stomp in with my not so delicate and definitely not Ascot worthy wellies and thank you for the ESH support.

Sorry for any info-repeat (PESH fred reader)s, but all went well this morning. We saw a lovely strong heartbeat and the luffly sonographer said everything looked spot on. I was concerned as it seemed to measured a tad earlier than my dates, but she wasn't worried at all and explained that at this early stage the dates rarely match up perfectly, which is why they don't go by early scan results for dating. She said that it's typical/normal at this point for the reading to be off by up to 5 days, and that by the 12 wk scan the dates will probably match up perfectly but it's nothing to worry about. She said that at 6-8wks the most important thing is not the measurement but the heartbeat.

We were given a scan picture to take home and the luffly consultant booked my second reassurance scan for July 10th, when I'll be approx. 10wks. Everyone was so wonderful - especially as several of the nurses knew me from the MCs and they were so happy that this scan went well. (And that also made me a bit weepy!)

Hope the fancam isn't too uncomfortable, Euro - I think you deserve some really good gin chocolate.

CaveMum · 22/06/2012 12:18

Yay for heartbeat LP Grin

I have to confess, I've been checking the thread every 15 minutes since 9am hoping for news from you.

[strips off and commences nekkid revelry]

Like cavey I have been checking and praying all morning! I'm so, so Grin for you!

eurochick · 22/06/2012 13:09

Yay for a sticky bean!

I am off for fanjocam shortly. I'm pretty nervous. I wish Mr euro were coming, but he has a meeting that he really couldn't get out of. I am comforting myself with yummy chocs picked up on my trip to Brussels last week.

HaveALittleFaith · 22/06/2012 13:21

Initially speed read that as comforting myself with Brussel sprouts..... Hmm

Sorry Mr Euro can't be with you. We're here albeit metaphorically holding your hand.

Northey · 22/06/2012 13:44

Don't be nervous. It's brilliant you have arranged it so that you get looked at so quickly, and we're all sending mega vibes of normality to your cervix.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 22/06/2012 13:45

Hurrah for beating bean, congrats laura!!!

Thinking of you and holding your toe euro (while having a good nosy, cos I've never seen down a fanjo microscope).

eurochick · 22/06/2012 13:51

If I can get pictures, I might upload them to facebook like irritatingly fertile people do with their scan pics ...

Northey · 22/06/2012 14:01

Will they remove any dodgy tissue there and then, euro?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 22/06/2012 14:49

Yay to lp's bean!

Apologies for causing the Hmm lemon. It's that sort of rancid chat that made me unwelcome on other forums... Fortunately my appropriateness filter kicked in before I posted the question elsewhere.

Any news euro? I've had a few, and despite them being overly keen to get me to look at my own fanjo, they're really not that bad. They put acetic acid on to show up any dodgy cells, so the whole affair smells a bit of chip shops...

LauraPalmerish · 22/06/2012 15:06

Yes yes to posting your pics on Facebook, Euro!!

Northey · 22/06/2012 16:51

Home! AMNH has recalled that tidying up and hoovering before I arrive generally makes for a happier reunion than when I arrive to two weeks worth of pants lying, unfathomably, on the sitting room floor :)

HaveALittleFaith · 22/06/2012 16:53

I agree to adding pictures euro. Hope it's all done now and you're chilling out with a Brew I tried to look at mine today - I've got a HSG, fanjo cam, abdo u/s and a CT abdo on there. Stoopid smart card wasn't working. So no FB inside photos this weekend :(

The dress came! It's gorgeous and the size 14 fits :) I'm just not sure it's formal enough for a wedding. Maybe with the right accessories...

HaveALittleFaith · 22/06/2012 16:54

X-posts but wonderful norf! Now you can have nice weekend together :)

Northey · 22/06/2012 17:37

What's the dress like??

HaveALittleFaith · 22/06/2012 17:52

Tis this looks really nice, fits luffly just it's cotton and I wonder if it's too casual and I need to buy another dress since I'm totally keeping it anyway to wear when it's sunny

LauraPalmerish · 22/06/2012 18:19

Ooooh, pretty pretty! I think you could definitely dress it up Faithy - maybe with a beaded cardi or shrug? But it's always fun to have more than one new dress, too...

Speaking of - loved the Ascot dress, Cavelina. And you look super smart in it.

Norfy - glad you're home and that the house isn't a wreck. Now you can relax with a glass of wine, perhaps?
