The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia

Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

Could you go off somewhere like a park to tell her? I think support and advice of a BF is important at times like these.
Yes I am doing by far my favourite task of my role, ringing people at home to see if they've had any more falls. Always nice when we've fixed them! Means I can sit at desk in quiet office too :)

I'm back, friend was wonderful and I managed not to leak! She said I sound like a mare on the stud (she still works there) so we had a good laugh about it! She's right though, the follicle tracking is exactly what we do with the mares: scan for follicles, when one is big enough give them a quick shot of LH to make them ovulate and then send them to the stallion Grin

ShredniVashtar · 14/06/2012 17:50

Send them to the stallion! Smile that's hilarious. Have you told AMWHNN that analogy?

How's everyone else doing? Feeling any better, nakedfaith? And any less grrrrr, lemons?

CD 7 here and I've still got the pesky spotting. This makes it 11 straight days of spotting / droid. I've had enough! Need to get back on with der sechs.

ShredniVashtar · 14/06/2012 17:51

Ooops, meant HWHNN, obviously.

HaveALittleFaith · 14/06/2012 17:59

Hello, yes I'm a bit better today with the stronger painkillers thanks shreddie. I am without car since MSB has gone swanning off to Devon again for the wedding - ie the wedding of the stag do he was at 2 weeks ago. I can't grumble about the car though since he drives a works van all the time and I have the car 99% of the time! My dad started his radiotherapy today and feels ok. I feel like at least he's being treated now.

bugs if you're lurking it's totally cool if you're quiet! You do what's right for you luffly.

Hope the spotting stops soon shreds so the sechsing can commence. I'm CD16 and futility fiend reckons based on my signs I'm about 4 dpo. Finally managed to work out how to change it so it knows I'm using opks rather than temping!

Glad you were able to tell your friend cavey and without any waterworks is impressive! You so need her support right now you cheeky mare :) see what I did there?!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/06/2012 18:27

Much better here too shreddie. Thanks. But a quick GRRR at your 11day bloody nightmare. Speaking of mares, well done cave for telling her and having a laugh too. Good you are feeling better too, faif hope things will improve properly SOON though!!

I am on CD14 and SB is back tonight. Based on my last ten cycles that is too late for any intent. But I missed him, so there will be sechsing all the same Wink

Quick stroke for lurking bugs, really hope it all works out well next week!

alwyn · 14/06/2012 18:36

No sign of OV here :( Either I haven't yet (it is only CD14) or the internet cheapie sticks are pants.

Keeping myself busy sat watching the Italy-Croatia game on the tellybox. Rock and indeed roll.

Northey · 14/06/2012 19:09

Nightmare afternoon at new job. Wondering whether to laugh or cry. In either case I shall supplement with gin, I think. Still, only one more day and I will have got through a whole week and AMNH will arrive in the evening and we can sechs rampantly. Or not, as we will be at my parents' house. Based on last cycle I will ovulate tomorrow or Saturday though, so we MUST do it.

cavey, you iz braaave, to laugh about it all. And you may pretend to joke about stallions, but we all know you are thinking about Frankel...

alwyn · 14/06/2012 19:26

lol @ norf

I'd just keep on doing the sechs and forget the parents :D Given I don't really know my cycle we're just doing it all the time anyway!

HaveALittleFaith · 14/06/2012 19:28

alwyn have you used the internet cheapy opks for a while? I never got on with them. Much prefer the smiley faces --even if they are squillions of quid. I believe MSB's words were how much?!

norf in a job like that it's going to be a steep learning curve! You'll get there...put your sexiest undies on for tomorrow night! Same goes for lems. It's like putting on war paint before going into battle!

alwyn · 14/06/2012 20:14

I thought I'd give them a go as they were only a fiver, and more sensitive than the ones I'd bought from Asda (and much, MUCH cheaper!), but they appear to be a bag of crap.

I think I'd never get to diffage if I went for the smiley faces - CGH might divorce me for spending a ridiculous amount on tests :P He's already warned me I can only pg test twice in a month :D

HaveALittleFaith · 14/06/2012 20:38

I tried both the Tesco and Internet ones and never got more than a faint positive. I tried to tot up how much we'd spent with TTC so far at one point. Reckon it's at least £500! People who don't have trouble are naive to such woes! Since its early days for you I'd probably try not to get too hung up on when you ov but go for regular sechsing instead. I only started charting when my progesterone bloods came back on the low side - turned out to be due to poorly timed bloods in relation to my irregular cycles - and charting reassured me I was ovulating regularly! But MSB encouraged me to stop because it fuels the menkul and I had become a bit obsessive! Now I just pee on an opk til I get a smiley - started the cycle before last and haven't used many. The box says to start poas CD9 if your cycle is 26 days, so far I've got a smiley on cd10 one cycle and cd11 the next!

alwyn · 14/06/2012 20:44

Thanks faif

I dunno when I should be OVing, that's the problem. No idea what my cycle is!

CaveMum · 14/06/2012 21:07

Ok, trying not to get my hopes up, but I came home from work, popped to the loo and discovered a rush of pant snot. Not EW, but lots of it.
So I peed on a an Internet cheapy OPK and got the darkest line I've had all cycle so far, not quite a positive, but not far off it. Could I actually be getting ready to OV [crosses fingers]

Someone book me in to the stallion!

HaveALittleFaith · 14/06/2012 21:14

Hooray for positive pant snot! Quick quick with the stud! Is HWHNN around?
You're very welcome als

CaveMum · 14/06/2012 21:19

No, he's not back until tomorrow evening. Going by previous OPK results, I'll probably OV late tomorrow/early Saturday.

HaveALittleFaith · 14/06/2012 21:22

Reckon you'll be good cavey. Best undies for you too then! I on the other hand can wear my grundies til Monday!

alwyn · 14/06/2012 21:34

Get ready for "servicing" then cavey!!

HaveALittleFaith · 14/06/2012 21:49

Shave your legs ladies!

Northey · 14/06/2012 21:49

Come on cavemare! Get winking!

HaveALittleFaith · 15/06/2012 07:23

Morning all! I survived my first night alone in our home post-fire even if it took me hours to drop off only 3 more to go!! How is everyone?

FriendofDorothy · 15/06/2012 07:36

I was home alone too last night. My parents have gone on holiday and The Mister was on a night shift. I was glad the cat joined me in bed for a while!

HaveALittleFaith · 15/06/2012 08:10

Yes I only had the hamster, not too snuggly!! I'm going to need matchsticks for my eyelids!

CaveMum · 15/06/2012 08:17

Morning all, no temp bump yet so we haven't missed out - again. OPK is lighter this morning, but I find that they are always darker in the afternoon/evening, so I'm hoping it wasn't a false alarm.

I got woken up by the rain at about 1am, my god it sounded like a monsoon!

Happy Friday everyone!
