The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia

Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

Thanks bugs! I think I'm doing the tests right but they are Internet cheapies so not sure of their reliability. Were yours ics or a "proper" brand?

I feel like I've been hit by a bus. Oh so tired, everything hurts, particularly my lower back. I'm hobbling around, trying to have a fairly quiet day in the office. Really want to go home and curl up on the sofa and watch crap tv. Bleurgh!

Morning. No patients are turning up, so thought I'd catch up on the goings on.

Well done for getting back in the house faife. Hope all settling within the womble bugs.

Rubbish about the case Euro.

On phone so cant check to see who else has news..

I've now reached cd 47. Crapola. Tested again on Monday. Negative obvs. I think I have to accept this is just a shit cycle. After the advice to shred, anyone going to tell me amazing stories of bfp after weeks and weeks?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 07/06/2012 10:16

Xpost- sorry you're not feeling well faife. You are off work at the mo? Sounds like you should be.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 07/06/2012 10:36

I am not fueling the menkul, am I? Keep us posted shreddie.

Sorry about the cd 47, sinky with BFNs. As I have never made it past cd 32 I have no good tips except, that it is indeed magnificently crapos.

Hide and keep calm faif. Hope you will get a chance to rest up properly soon. Still YAY about ebing home.

LauraPalmerish · 07/06/2012 10:45

I think the ICs are crap. I tested (yes, again) his morning - I'm either 17 or 18 dpo and I'm only now getting nice dark lines. In fact my original test last Friday was so ridiculously faint that I put I up on CanYouSeeALine before I caved in and got two other brands of tests. Worth every penny. Especially for the digi readout.

Faithy do take care of yourself - relax relax relax in your new home. And drink a lot of vino.

Feeling tired and a little blurgh - mostly I just want to eat a lot of cream cheese and tomatoes while I prod my boobs to make sure they're still sore.

Shred if you've got that feeling that the test was dud then you should invest in a proper store bought test. And for what it's worth, my post-IC Sainbo and ClearBlue BPFs came up quickly with evening wee. Get thee to a shoppe!

LauraPalmerish · 07/06/2012 10:46

*this, not 'his'

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 07/06/2012 10:58

Yes I think I will take the night off. Avoiding time off work due to dire sickness level - both mine and department - but I think I'm burnt out. Sadly vino exacerbates my symptoms so I'm tee total til they sort it out.

sinky how rubbish for a long cycle :( Do you know when/if you ovulated?

shreds I would get a different test brand personally...,

sinkingflameofhilarity · 07/06/2012 11:01

Faife, nah. Prev around day21, but didn't really get the typical pant snot this month I think. Was away at a luffly wedding though, so paid little attention at the time.

I have my appt though, so am a bit meh about it all.

HRHCavey · 07/06/2012 11:16

Just checking back in to say this months blood tests appear to be working. Day 21 showed a 1.8! So safe to say I hadn't ov'd by that point! Day 28 is Saturday but I can't get to the hospital tomorrow so will go on Monday instead, hopefully I will have ov'd by then Hmm

Bugs it's arbitration so we are waiting to hear if the clients on both sides consent to make it public. If they do, I will PM you. I warn you, it's not very exciting though!

Unfortunately I had to take the tube back to work after my treatment, but I felt properly spaced out for a few hours afterwards. I would have liked to have gone home to snooze instead!

lemons no Pill for me. They decided I should skip that bit as it hasn't agreed with me in the past. So instead I start downregging on day 21.

eurochick · 07/06/2012 16:48

I don't have the protocol, but I think it's generally:

Pill from days 1-21
Downregulation from day 21 until they decide your ovaries have "switched off"
Stimming drugs until you have mature follicles
HCG injection to make eggs ready to pop
Egg collection
Make embryos in lab
Embryo transfer if you get that far
2ww

So it's basically a 2 cycle process (or for me one and a bit cycles as I am skipping step one). The precise timing depends on how you respond to the drugs. One of my friends was on the drugs for ages and ages because she wasn't responding as she should have been.

I found I was very thirsty afterwards and needed to wee loads. It was incredibly relaxing. I am going again next week. :)

eurochick · 07/06/2012 16:51

BTW, I still feel like I want to cry when I think about it. But I am going to do the mental equivalent of sticking my fingers in my ears and singing very loudly so I just don't!

CaveMum · 07/06/2012 17:15

Euro I had some reflexology ages ago and the lady told me that you will feel thirsty and must drink lots of water to help flush the toxins out. You'll also feel like your hips ache, which is apparently normal as you store a lot of bad woo (if that's the right description) there and the reflexology disturbs it.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 07/06/2012 17:27

Sounds like the woo has helped euro. When I've had reflexology they told me to drink plenty to help flush out toxins and avoid alcohol. I got a headache that only eased with plenty of water too.
I think a lalala approach is fine euro.

No smiley here yet, despite some snail like pant snot and I'm feeling pretty rough so think I'll take tonight off the sechsing if MSB is happy and go for it over the weekend then I'll try to really go for it! House is looking good now all the carpets are in. Came home to find MSB had taken time owing and cracked on with rearranging furniture and emptied boxes :) He's a good'un.

Still hoping the blood tests and your ovaries sync up shortly cavey.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 07/06/2012 17:34

Bad woo leaking from my hips? Hmm

In one sentence, the reason I can't bring myself to embrace the crazy.

still a work. Boooo.

eurochick · 07/06/2012 17:47

Mine didn't mention anything about bad woo leaking from my hips. She just said that reflexolgy induces the same sort of brain wave patterns as meditation and having occasionally managed to meditate at the end of a yoga session before, I would say that is what I felt, only more so.

I was very thirsty and needed to wee a lot afterwards though, so it definitely did something physical as well.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 07/06/2012 17:54

That euro, I can take. It must do something even if it just induces a relaxed state of mind.

I just can't quite cope with wavy hands, mystic meg style ramblings.

Anyhew. I'm still at work, still in droidal no-mans land and just being a grump. Ignore me.

(but really? Bad hip woo?)

I like the woo woo Grin - whatever it takes and all.

Euro, it will be worth it. I know someone through work who just gave birth to her second IFV baybee girl and she's said that the time spend on the front end (shots, hormone insanity, general medicallyness of the whole process) was more than worth it for the long term returns. Baybee steps.
