The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia

Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

So stripteaseartiste how long have you been trying to win a baybee?

eurochick · 03/06/2012 08:53

Yay, I'm glad it went well LP.

Oooo, fresh meat.

HRHCavey · 03/06/2012 09:26

[strips off and starts dancing]

[rubs LP's and Bugs' belly's for good luck]

Glad all went well with TOM LP.

Welcome Strip, your questionnaire looks good to me.

Glad you are feeling mellowish Bugs. What about telling people you are on a health kick which means you can't drink for a while?

We're doing odds and sods today. Got to go to the Apple store and plead with the geniusesses to fix my iPad - HWHNN managed to drop the tv remote controller on it and it's cracked the screen around the button Hmm
He feels really bad about it - I've had it less than 2 months! But, like I said, there are worse things to have happened and it's not the end of the world [philosophical]

HaveALufflyJubileeMaam · 03/06/2012 09:53

I'm off to a bond rally! Our family owns a bond mini car 3 wheeler it's quite funny actually - it was in our family for about 20 years but we sold it when my Grandparents moved in 1994 (no storage space at their flat). My sister was trawling eBay one day last year and found it for sale! So we bought it and are gradually doing it up. I'm quite excited about going to see lots of bonds and have fun with family. MSB has text me, he is 'hanging ' Hmm
Glad you're feeling tentatively better bugs. I keep thinking about you and Lors being in it together but that keeps bringing up High School Musical soundtrack help me!

Northey · 03/06/2012 09:55

BFN on CD3 here. I know, I know

No plans for today, other than make lamb curry for tonight. Oh, and some sort of cake to take to a Jubilee barbecue thing tomorrow. But I don't know what cake.

Might drag AMNH off for a massive walk somewhere.

Northey · 03/06/2012 09:57

:o at MSB "hanging". He so badmanz.

ShredniVashtar · 03/06/2012 10:24

Hurrah lp!

We're having a quietish day too - in Scotland to see family for a week, including my gawjus niece. CD 27 here and BFN this morning. Bah! Looks like my womble pains were just pains. But had the results from day 21 bloods and apparently my progesterone is "perfect" .

Have lovely, relaxing days, ESH. And tell us some more about yourself, lh!

Northey · 03/06/2012 11:16

Well hark at you with your perfect progesterone, ferret! Can I rub you for luck on that, too?

HaveALufflyJubileeMaam · 03/06/2012 11:19

norf at least you didn't POAS cd3, get a false positive, name change and post about it in conception, go and buy more tests only to get BFN like some people Hmm - does that make you feel better?
Nice work on the progesterone ferretyone!

Northey · 03/06/2012 11:21

True, faith. At least I am only unpregnant, not unpregnant and a twit.

ShredniVashtar · 03/06/2012 11:22

Rub up all you like!
Seriously, I am grateful that prog levels seem to be ok. Am thinking about trying acupuncture next cycle as long as it's not too woo to encourage my left tube to think about picking up an egg and give my left ovary a pep talk at the same time.

Northey · 03/06/2012 11:28

euro's a bit of a needle queen. And someone else here also likes it.

My positive thinking for this cycle is that last cucle's scan showed I was ovulating off my tubeless side, so hopefully this one will come together nicely.

HaveALufflyJubileeMaam · 03/06/2012 11:29

Are you calling me a twit norf?! Cos that is what I did yesterday!
I'm still toying with woo. No commitments though.

Northey · 03/06/2012 11:35

A twit in a nice way, faif! Blush

ShredniVashtar · 03/06/2012 11:57

Really, faith, a false positive? What's all that about?

HaveALufflyJubileeMaam · 03/06/2012 12:14

Ruddy Boots tests with the cross - came up with a definite line. Immediately. Very confusing. Clearer when I pulled it apart.. Didn't want to get excited, not with genuine BFPs, hence the NC and posting. Won't be buying any more of those and utilise the 15 Internet cheapies that should be arriving this week.

LauraPalmerish · 03/06/2012 13:08

Faife!!!! could it be a triple diff?!?

I must be honest, I'm not too fond of the ICs - my lines are almost non-existent yet the Sainsbury's cheapie cross test (blue dye) and the ClearBlue digital that I was saving for emergencies both gave very clear positives with the same pee. And today I got another very clear, darker positive on a Sainsbo cheapie yet the IC is still almost non-existent-stare-at-it-under-every-light-and-make-yourself-crazy.

That said, I will continue to pee on the ICs to watch the lines grow darker.

Shred I've not been around much as me and TOM were taking a break after our 2nd mc last November. But I've been a BESH lurker and really confused by your name - is it because I'm a foreigner??!

HaveALufflyJubileeMaam · 03/06/2012 13:26

Nah I got BFN on an FRER with FMU so definitely a weird test. I just wondered with minimal bleeding and boobs still being on the large side...but definitely no.
lors her name is a reference to a book...about a polecat ferret I think

I just didn't want to put about fake weird BFPs and steal genuine thunder! Tried to be subtle :)

Sounds like a wise plan bugs and just take it easy today.
It's a bit cold and wet in the field but it's been fun to see all the Bonds and I went for a ride in ours which was cool! Quiet night in planned, perhaps a bath to warm me up!

ShredniVashtar · 03/06/2012 17:19

lp, faith is right, it's a literary allusion, innit. From a short story by Saki, whom I recommend.

Bloody tests and their misleading results. Maybe the one I did this morning is actually misleading too

I'm warming up too after an outdoorsy afternoon. If there is a baybee in there, I've soaked it in Pimms and jostled it about playing egg and spoon races and all sorts of other malarkey Smile

HaveALufflyJubileeMaam · 03/06/2012 21:35

Did you know Pimms is gin based? I only found that out this weekend. No wonder I like it so much...
I have warmed up after a soak in the bath. Now tucked up in bed hoping its the last night I have to spend in this rented house. Watching The Apprentice final. Can't complain really.
