Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

kurlyvoice · 28/04/2012 08:38

Hello - can I join?

We have a 13.5 month old DS and have always wanted a 2 year ish age gap so it's time to get going! Am on CD16 of my second post-pg cycle as am still bfing DS once a day at bedtime - not really sure if that's affecting my ovulation... Last cycle was 36 days so despite lots of ewcm don't think I've ov'd yet!

Really hope to make some ttc buddies on here and that we all get bfps soon and become pg friends!

From my up-thread reading, I'm so sorry about your awful threats, something, and really hope the police can help track them down. And I was a "1stTF" too, aday, though you must have namechanged so I can only guess who you are...! Wink

pickles35 · 28/04/2012 17:29

Hi pip probably about then if you really aren't sure. I've been testing using the Internet cheapies and got nothing, I think they are rubbish I won't be getting them again might be worth getting better ones this month for you x

pickles35 · 28/04/2012 17:31

Hi kurly voice I've got very long cycles and I can't for the life of me remember what they were before. Only just got a positive opk on cd 21. Rubbish!

Adayforthinking · 28/04/2012 17:34

Oh, something how horrible Sad hope you're okay.

Hi kurley welcome!

aday yay for fun shagging Smile

I'm out here. Only 8dpo but second instance of thick, gloopy spotting in two days and feeling AF descending upon me why is this so hard? Sad

StoneBaby · 28/04/2012 21:50

something I hope the Police gets that person. If I were you I'll be checking all my privacy settings on fb

aday Grin at enjoying shagging

Well nothing much to report here. DH has admitted that because of the stress his job gives him, he's not really in a shagging mood but he has agreed to try taking herbal remedies (he tried weak AD before but he was feeling worse) to see if it can help his mood. So it's a small victory to add to our plans for #2

somethingwittynot · 28/04/2012 22:06

Eclairwaldorf · 29/04/2012 12:17

Hi all, hope you're all enjoying the weather Grin

Does anybody know where I can get some clear blue fertility monitor test sticks from cheaply? Just dug out my monitor and my sticks are over a year out of date Blush

Artura · 29/04/2012 15:50

Hello all,

Not been on for a while so catching up with all the posts. I'm 12dpo so right at maximum level of evil PMT. Pretty sure this month I won't have a BFP as I feel so incredibly pre-menstrual (i.e. an evil bitch, writing endless to-do lists that never get done). Just want AF to arrive so I can feel human again and start again with a fresh cycle. CBFM has started flashing an "M" so technically I think it could arrive any time.

Hi eclair, I got my CBFM and sticks from an ebay shop called Klackstar. Good prompt service and it was the cheapest place at the time.

Something sorry to hear about all your dramas and stresses. Hope the new pad (with all your rooms to christen) and your lovely fella help you through. Moving in this week?

Anyone else BFing? Wondering if I'm going to have to cut down on the BFing to have more success next month. Currently feeding DD just before bedtime and a quick feed first thing in the morning. Having regular cycles though.

Lastbox I think nursery will be fine. DD goes 2 days a week and she loves it. Does all the stuff I can't get round to doing at home (painting, glitter...).

Lovely to catch up with all the news. Big hugs and lots of left over Easter eggs to scoff for all the 2WW girls. Massive glass of G+T to anyone with a BFN this week. Oh and lots of sofa shaggage for all the DTD ladies. xx

somethingwittynot · 29/04/2012 19:38

yup the big move known as TBM is on tuesday Grin

Adayforthinking · 30/04/2012 09:02

Hi All,

I struggle to post a lot during the weekend because I've only got my phone to do it and it takes AGES!!

Something, I've just read your story hun, wow that is incredibly scary - I'm so glad that you were Ok in the end. Shock Good luck with TBM tomorrow! Grin

Atura, I would like to say don't lose hope, but I'm not sure what the CBFM does so not sure what the flashing 'M' stands for - does it mean that you're definitely not PG? Confused If it doesn't I'd say 'don't lose hope'! Smile

Lastbox, I forgot to answer your question about nursery. DD has been with a CM since she was 4 months old (financial needs made it so early Sad) but this January at 31 months, DD started in a little private pre-school two full days a week and carried on with the CM the other two days. She has done amazingly well and now doesn't appear to be at all challenged at the CMs so from September, she will go to the Pre-school four full days a week. She has a uniform to wear (which includes a blazer and hat - bless) which she looks gorgeous in and even loves putting that on. In her case, this will be a fab introduction to school because she loves going.

Remember it does take a little bit of time, it's a very different environment for him but one of my BF has a DS who she was at home with until he was 2, then she went back to work so put her DS in nursery five days a week. He absolutely LOVES it. Has loads of 'friends' and generally has an amazing time. It'll be so good for your DS. (And you...). Grin

So, managed to DTD again last night but not Saturday as DD wasn't well and kept getting up. She's still not well but we made sure we got an early night, before she started getting up. It does of course mean that I'm shattered!! I'm determined to DTD every day though this week, to give ourselves a fighting chance for the first month.

How is everyone? Nice weather isn't it? Especially down in the lovely South-West where I am!!

xxx

OP posts:
somethingwittynot · 30/04/2012 15:00

its lovely in the south-east! well were all packed up and ready to go! roll on 10-am when we sign and get the keys!

Adayforthinking · 01/05/2012 06:56

Good luck this morning Something, I hope TBM goes well! I'll bake you some virtual 'Welcome to your New Home' Cupcakes and pack them in the box with your kettle and cups!! Grin

So, didn't manage to DTD last night Sad. DD came into our bedroom at 9.30pm, just as we'd got to bed because she'd heard us - she'd been up and down with her cough since bedtime - so in the end DH took her to sleep with him in the second room. I was grateful for the sleep but wish we'd managed to DTD beforehand. So we've DTD on CD12 and CD10 so we need to get onto it tonight, tomorrow, Thursday and Friday just to be on the safe-side. Luckily I do normally OV on CD16 so I'm hoping that it doesn't change this month. Hmm

OP posts:
Artura · 01/05/2012 09:07

Something all settled in and internet connected?

Aday sounds like you need some sleep to get your energy up for your busy DTD week. Have fun!

Well, I'm now 14dpo.... No AF yet. Don't know whether to get excited, or just try and keep myself busy so I don't go and rip open a preg test pack in a fit of hormones. Have told myself that I must wait until I'm a few days late. Still feeling very PMTish though. My LP is usually 12 days but saying that, I've only just started using the CBFM so it may have calculated my LP differently. The CBFP starts flashing M when it thinks your period is due but is just a rough estimate as it's my first cycle.

Right, off to keep myself distracted.

Adayforthinking · 01/05/2012 10:02

Artura, how exciting - but yes, try and hold on if you can... But I am secretly thinking BFP

I fear that I will be majorly disappointed if I don't get PG straight away, just because it hasn't happened before... But hopefully I'll be distracted with DD's party long enough to let me hang on until next month! Smile

OP posts:
pickles35 · 01/05/2012 15:19

Hi All

Just finished up shag week here although I am concerned as I didnt seem to ovulate until CD 22/23 which is late isnt it? I have been on google (which never helps) and read a load of gubbins about bad eggs so I am not feeling hopeful this month.

Just ordered a CBFM for £55 from ebay, which seemed a good price for a new one.

Hope your move goes well witty.

Artura, I admire your resolve! I dont think that I could have controlled myself. When are you thinking of doing a test? You could already be lateish or is that according to the monitor? Im looking forward to getting one. If I dont get lucky this month at least it will distract me.

Aday good luck for the shaggaton. We had the same problem with DS and moved DTD time to 7.30 just after hes gone to bed, just in case. Managed four this month, from CD 16 to CD 22. Doing it earlier really helped us as we are normally so tired.

Any news lastbox ?

thehomesecretary · 01/05/2012 16:11

Artura- am excited for you. My money is on a BFP. Kudos to you for your steely resolve, I probably would have gone through several tests already

Something- hope the move went well and you're all in ok and getting on with christening the new rooms Wink

Aday what CD are you today? I am CD11 and shag week starts tonight. I am going to pick up some skittles and lucozade for DH on the way home Grin. Feeling exhausted just thinking about it actually!

thehomesecretary · 01/05/2012 16:13

Oh and lastbox did evil AF show up?

Adayforthinking · 01/05/2012 16:40

Pickles, strangely I suggested that to DH for tonight - at least then afterwards I can lie in bed, with my hips on a pillow, watching Eastenders while DH gets me a cuppa! Then he can go downstairs and watch TV while I have a very early night with a good book!

Please don't worry about OVing late, everyone has the odd off-cycle month. The most important thing is how long now between OVing and AF. It needs to be at least 14 days. If it is shorter than that (on a regular basis - not just a one-off) then it could mean that the egg may not have long enough to get 'settled' before AF kicks in. The longer the Luteal phase the better.

But as I said, this is probably just a one-off so please don't worry. Smile

Home, I'm on CD14 here so hoping to get to DTD tonight, tomorrow and at least Thursday, possibly Friday aswell although I'm sure that'll be too late by then. It's so weird how this whole process invades our minds isn't it? I actually felt quite low this morning thinking that we didn't DTD last night, even though I don't normally OV until CD16. It's just that 'what if...' feeling isn't it.

Good luck with the lucozade and skittles, I'm sure there'll do wonders!!

I've been very domesticated today - think Domestic Goddess!! I had 30 minutes for lunch. In that time I got 24 cupcakes in the oven and threw together a Beef Stew for dinner. Then went back to work! I'm making cupcakes for DD's Childminder AND my Nephew as it's both of their birthdays tomorrow. Busy busy!! So tonight I will be frantically decorating. Although I am cheating tonight and have bought ready-made buttercream as I won't have time to make that aswell. Then I've got to make another 12 (or so) cakes on Friday for my Mum's birthday! The fun just never stops!! Grin

Thinking of Something and hoping that TBM went Ok today... Smile

OP posts:
thehomesecretary · 02/05/2012 08:01

Aday your domestic goddessing sounds very impressive. Cupcakes are so satisfying to make - seeing them all laid out looking pretty gives me such a feeling of accomplishment!

DTD last night - am starting to worry about short luteal phase though. Last month (first PP cycle) I ov'd on day 18 and had a 25 day cycle. I'm hoping it is a one off...

I've heard vitamin B6 can help lengthen LP so am going to look into that.

Artura · 02/05/2012 08:06

So.... I finally cracked this morning.....
I'd told DP that I was a bit late, but that I wasn't sure if I should test or not.

Eventually we decided to test this morning (he knew it had been driving me mad).

And...

BFP!!!!!!!

Thank you CBFM (you little magic box!) and thank you TTC2 ladies!!!! Thanks

Adayforthinking · 02/05/2012 09:47

ARTURA That is amazing!!!!! Our first BFP!!! [grin Grin Grin

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
