About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

eddie let us know how you get on, I have a few friends who had success with Clomid. Suppose its better to start getting checked out and hopefully things will happen in the meantime..

And if you take Clomid, you could be on for the Octoplets. Double dose and say nothing!

Pickles dont wish it on me! I want another baby, not a litter! We'd have nowhere to put them, they'd have to sleep in them stacking drawer things from Ikea!

Eddie smep is the sperm meets egg plan! As far as I can tell it just means doing it every day between about eg day 10 and day 20, if your cycle were 30 days, and every day if you're ovulating (which is when people use OPKs, but some people use cm as a guide).

So are they going to take your cyst out? A colleague had a dermoid one out recently and the surgery seemed quite straightforward. I have never been so stressed as when they told me I had a cyst. I didn't realise at the time how common they are.

Ha ha, well we did give up on day 15 last time I tried it pickles and both of us were very relieved!

I know people swear by it but no egg, no baby, so I say don't waste the swimmers (and the energy!)

Posy Not going to remove it yet as the last time they did, they had to remove ovary/fallopian tube too so if they do that again, we will have no further chance to have a baby. They've said they're willing to wait 12/18 months for us to complete our family and then out it comes as long as there is no growth/pain/bleeding/twisting etc in the meantime

I googled SMEP and got these instructions, is this right?

• Dtd every other night starting Day 8

• Begin ovulation testing on Day 10

• When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row

• Skip one night, then do one last "try"

God, DP is working loads atm (also a youth worker and its the summer holidays) if we did this too he'd be like the living dead!

Yep that sounds about right! It's something to do (I think) with making sure that the man, er, refreshes himself regularly before ovulation and ovulation sometimes being unpredictable. But pickles is right that a cbfm sounds like less hassle :)

I know, if it only it wasnt so expensive...I've cracked and bought some amazon cheapy ov tests so will use those this month

Will have the results of those 21 day bloods by next month so will decide on a strategy for September based on them!

I'm coming to the end of AF now so another month of trying - have bought opk for this month and DP has agreed to try smep next month (works manic this month for him) so at least theres some plans in place...did have a weird dream though where I had a baby and the date on the calendar was 5th June 2013 so we'll se if thats a premonition!

I'm about to have my Implanon out with a view to ttc #2, #1 turned 3 in June. Never actively ttc before - fell pg with dd while on the pill but a very happy accident. Still got the horrible implant in ATM and the whole thing is already starting to fry my brain a little, so any tips on staying sane would be useful!

Well 1st cycle for us...AF due Saturday but feels like it is on its way. Plus didn't manage to hook up as much as we'd have liked to due to family visiting etc, so would be surprised if it happened this month (& would be in shock I think too!). Tho my friend who also started ttc this month told me she is pg....thought she had her AF last thurs but it stopped after 1 day so she tested & got the shock of her life when it was positive...said she only managed to dtd twice in the month too

So Af is due on Monday have mixed feelings about this month. My sis has just got engaged and me an dd are bridesmaids but if I am preg this month then baby will be due about 3 weeks before wedding.

Wedding is far away a whole weekend away type thing so not sure how that would work. If I am not preg this month then I guess we are going to have to put a hold on ttc for a couple of months - frustrating!

I just want to find out really are there any test that work 3 days before Af is due?

I know, dont know where everyone is hiding!

You can do a test but I think the accuracy 3 days before is only about 50-60% so if its positive then its great but a negative wont necessarily rule you out...

That's what I went for and its showing two lines. Still don't really believe it will test again tomorrow.

Yikes now what to do about the wedding. I know its really early days and don't really want to tell anyone before 12 weeks but I think I will have to call my sister and tell her tomorrow. She literally set the date today agghh.

Hello everyone, not been on here for ages (you've all dropped out my threads im on) anyways not much to report here.

Im finally getting my labido back after coming of the pill, its only when I come of it do I realise what it does to me. DP's definately pleased with the change. Mixure of coming of the pill and reading a certain trilogy . Im not getting stressed by it all yet as we have just agreed to have another puppy end of sept!!

We celebrated DS's 1st birthday end of last month! He's a proper little boy now so getting broody.

I will try to catch up with the thread and the new one when its started.

Well, I've been a busy little bee this last week or so! After my bleeding from coil removal stopped me & hubby got straight to it ;-) Think I've surprised him cos I've been pouncing on him every chance I get and it's usually him with his high sex-drive pestering me! Lol.
He works 15hr shifts, mostly with a sleep in between so he will leave at 7am and return the following day around 10.30pm twice a week. Which is a bit of a hindrance, especially when he walks in, I'm ready for him and he just sighs cos he's tired! But then he keeps count of how active we are and he loves it! Ha ha
Well period due around 23rd so will see if it's worked...

Argh!!!! Im due AF tomoro, feeling shit I've just done a test, a second line came up and then disappeared. I'm guessing it was an evap line. Will see in the morning
