About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

See, I was so excited I forgot the 2nd bracket off of the first GRIN!! LOL

So, managed to DTD again last night and now on CD15, so will try and get another one in tonight and possibly one tomorrow. Then I think we'll have a break...

DD seems to still be poorly and today has a rash all over her, from top to bottom. It's a very fine rash, like goosebumps but apparently Scarlet Fever is going around so I'm worried it might be that... Hmm

artura fantastic news!!! So pleased for you. Congratulations xx

EddieIzzardIsMine · 02/05/2012 12:45

Hi, hope nobody minds me joining too? I started another thread but Adayforthinking invited me to this one too.

I've just had a quick read through, congrats to artura!

I'll do a quick intro, we have DS who is 15 months and recently had some scary gynea stuff which has pretty much made the decision that we shouldnt hang about so we're working on DC#2 now!

I'll have a proper read through now and try and catch up...

Adayforthinking · 02/05/2012 13:46

Eddie, you are MOST welcome hun Grin. We are a friendly bunch, you will fit right in.

xx

Hello everyone! This thread seems o have fallen off my Threads I'm On thingy. I had to find you all over again!

Artura!!!!!! Grin CONGRATS well done! Now what were your secrets for this month? Wink

AF arrived here. Oh, well, it was no surprise as I had had tons of spotting throughout my LP. I forgot who was talking about it but your LP should be between 10 and 14 days. Eggs typically implant between 7 & 10 dpo, if it's shorter than 10 days it gives the egg less chance to implant. My LP has been between 9 and 11 days and I've been pregnant twice, so it's possible Smile.

Also, wanted to say, DS was conceived on CD23 and he is far from substandard if I do say so myself! Smile so don't worry about ov'ing late!

Hello Eddie! Welcome Smile

Aday hope your DD is okay Sad and glad you're getting lots f shagging in! We're at my parents' until CD9, so we'll have some catching up to do when we get home!

Adayforthinking · 02/05/2012 15:31

Lastbox, sorry that AF turned up hun - the Witch!!! Sad Roll on next month. It was me talking about the length of the Luteal Phase - that's good to know, thank you!

Well, I did a female fertility test today (need to POAS at some point - so I found one that I could do anytime - LOL) and it was a definite negative, no line at all so no FSH showing which is good news for an old'un like me! Even if I have done it at the wrong time, it's made me feel better and it's all about positive thinking isn't it!!! Grin

I'm hoping that Artura's news will be our starting point and now all our bodies will fall into line!

i have very sore boobs Hmm hurts to walk down the stairs Grin and im very tired Sad

pickles35 · 02/05/2012 20:16

I did one of those aday! I had a faint line on mine, although it wasn't positive I started worrying about that, so I've decided to leave them alone on future. I bought a home testing kit for dp last time but got pregnant before we used it, looked bloody complicated!

I love home tests.

Sorry about your period turning up lastbox

thehomesecretary · 02/05/2012 20:33

sore boobs and tired something?! ... that sounds promising!

somethingwittynot · 02/05/2012 21:07

it hurts to walk down the stairs and i was ready for bed at half 2! DP has fucked off to his brothers to play playstation they live 15 minutes away it does not take an hour to get there and back!!!!

Artura · 02/05/2012 21:27

Thanks for all your messages. Am looking forward to all of you joining me on a BFP thread soon.

Lastbox no special secrets but I do think the CBFM worked out my ovulation date later than I'd been working it out by temping (although I don't think I was very good at taking my temp at the right time). We DTD every other evening on the "high"fertility days, and on the 1st day of "peak" fertility. That's all. I'm pretty surprised by the BFP, like I said, I had really bad PMT last week and felt just the same as I did the previous month before AF.

Something - sore boobs and knackered? You'll either be joining the BFP party soon or that was some good sofa christening...

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 09:13

if i oved when i should of then the PILS sofa/rug are the sofa and rug of conception! however we do now have back the bed DS was convieved in!

even had insomnia and hunger i couldnt satisfy last night and i had a lot of that with DS. im around 7DPO.

boobs feel full to

pickles35 · 03/05/2012 21:27

When is symptom spotting legitimate? Im only 4DPO.

How is everyone getting on? Ive lost track where everyone is on their cycles!

thehomesecretary · 03/05/2012 21:50

pickles what symptoms do you have? I think it's legitimate, some people seem to have symptoms a few days post conception!

CD12 here. DTD on Wednesday and planning on tonight, then every night if we dont fall asleep until CD18. Am determined to give it my best shot this month... Just came back from Knit Club with DM- so may pg ladies there, I am feeling super broody!!!

lastboxoftampons · 03/05/2012 21:53

something with my first pregnancy, my 6dpo boobs were insane! But it is still really early.

Pickles I try not to symptom spot before about 9 or 10 dpo because it's unlikely any egg would implant before 7dpo and hen a few days for symptoms to appear. But because I've got a short LP I don't really ever get a chance to symptom spot plus I find that any pg symptoms are the same as my AF symptoms anyway

pickles35 · 03/05/2012 22:34

last boxI`ll try, I was thinking next week. My boobs went mental last time too, I had bought a new shirt for work a couple of days before and it fitted fine, went to a meeting and say boss making faces at me, looks down and button had popped and huge boobs sticking out!

homeyI havent really got anything too major to report to be honest. How early did you notice anything last time? I have sooo many pregnant friends at the moment, Im the same, broody mcbroody!

lastboxoftampons · 03/05/2012 22:46

BTW I meant to ask, what did/will you all do for LO's 3rd birthdays? The past two we've just had family bbqs but I think three is old enough to have a proper kiddie party though our garden isn't particularly big or child friendly. Was thinking Rugbytots? Any other ideas?

CheekyMeeky · 04/05/2012 19:52

Hi Ladies...

Hope you are all doing ok, I've not posted for a while as I've been quite busy and knackered also...what stage ru all upto? anyone get near to the 2 ww?
Well I have some great news...I got a BFP this morning also!!, I was due on a couple of days ago and for the first time this morning I felt a tiny bit iffy on the train to work so off I went via Boots to get clearblue and did it in the toilets at work!! Phoned husband at work and he was well pleased! and did it again at home just to make sure!! Im happy...still hasnt sunk in tho yet! Grin

pickles35 · 04/05/2012 19:54

Heavens! Congratulations! We are getting a very good success rate on this thread! Really chuffed for youSmileSmile

CheekyMeeky · 04/05/2012 20:07

Thanks Pickles and hope I can pass on some good luck for the rest of you Grin

kurlyvoice · 06/05/2012 16:07

Congratulations on the BFPs to cheeky and artura - hope they will be lots more people to join you soon!

Pretty sure I'm ovulating today, CD24, especially with a smiley face on my brand new Clearblue digi ov sticks (having never got a decent positive on my internet cheapies), ov pain in my right hand side and lots of ewcm. Problem is, we have a poorly teething baby and a very stressful week at school so last time we DTD was Wednesday night... and now DH is poorly too! Probably not our month! Here's to a quick-passing 2ww and to lots of self-control in leaving the one HPT safe in its drawer...

Finished BFing DS on Wednesday, so if we don't get a BFP this cycle then at least I won't have those hormones getting in the way next time.

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend, ladies. :)

lastboxoftampons · 07/05/2012 17:32

Cheeky! Congratulations to you! This thread is on a roll! Keep em coming! Grin

Kurley, I would tell DH to step up and stop being a baby about not feeling well Wink just kidding. It's do frustrating when you miss a good opportunity to DTD. Hope you manage it tonight!

Had a lovely day baptizing DS yesterday. He was so good during the ceremony especially considering he's nearly 3. And he had a great day running around my parents' garden, getting dirty, eating cookies for dinner and going to bed way late. Grin I remember days like that when i was a kid, they were always the best! Even though I'm sure he won't remember it I think he had a fab time!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 08/05/2012 09:53

Hi, hows everyone doing?

And congratulations Cheeky!

I have no idea whats happening this month, hope someone can help - my last AF was on 7th April and I'm usually 28 days so should have ovulated around the 21st and gotten Mays AF on the 5th, not really had much time to 'try' so only dtd on the 19th and 26th so AF was due on Sat (5th May) and still not here so I'm 3 days late now....did poas on Sun morning but it was a bfn but maybe it was too early? Or it wasnt that sensitive? (was a pound shop cheapy one?)

Also just to add to confusion I didn't get the 'egg-white' cm that I get with ovulation until the 23rd (16 days into cycle as opposed to the 'normal' 14 days) so will that affect it?

Arrraagh, I just wish it was easier to tell!
