About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

The baby will be in there yes, but did they scan your back for mogwai?

Hi everyone - much earlier in the thread some of you have referred to buying cheapie HPTs from Amazon. I think I'm going to stock up - which brands do you recommend??

hi everyone sorry i haven posted much. i have now seen my little bean twice saw the heartbeat at 6+5 last week and i have my NT scan on the 20th of august follwed by my consultant on the 21st.

my new niece came into the world last night weighing 6lb 15oz

Tested tonight as I forgot this morning, negative still... No AF yet either

eddie, yeah kinda excited...have family down visiting but luckily they go back home as fertile week hits (& I'm off work that week too!), so looking forward to lots of practising .

DS is being super cute at the mo too...things are just kinda getting back to 'normal' as he gets to this age (17 months). Can't believe I'm thinking about going through it all again now...

jessi just wanted to send big hug having seen your sad news, I think you are amazing for keeping so positive.

Will be testing in 3 days if AF doesn't bite me, sore and swollen boobs again, thought they were going to explode last night! Before DD was born I never had swollen boobs before AF, that was how I worked out I might be pregnant as my boobs were hideously sore around time AF was due that month and that never used to happen to me. Since we've started TTC again it seems to happen every month! Don't think this month is my month, feeling a bit crampy already but we will see....

On the more exciting side, it was my 40th a week last Friday, DP and I went out for a really lovely dinner. As if the smiley face on the OPK earlier in the day hadn't been enough of a birthday present, DP proposed to me during our dinner. Bless him, he actually got down on one knee in the restaurant! We've been together 6 years so I rather thought that ship had sailed, had no idea it was coming at all! So something nice to look forward to no matter what the next few days hold.

Tested this morning, negative. Having a crap day, DS has had to have his operation cancelled and re-scheduled again because he's come down with a fever and cold the day before his op

DS is 3.5 now and DH & I have been debating for aaages (it feels!) when is the right time to TTC %232. DS isn't hubby's so he's had the itch to get going quicker than me...I've been a bit waylaid with career etc.

But now's v nearly the time. Was Planning to have Mirena coil removed Oct, start trying Dec with a view to being ok for %232 anytime after Sept when DS1 starts school. Now having read how long it's taking some of you to conceive though I'm wondering if I'm being unrealistic about how quickly we'll get preggers and should have the coil out ASAP but use protection as well until Dec...

Welcome Boy, hopefully the thread will be lucky for you too! I've put the statistics somewhere on here about how long it should take but its impossible to say, could fall the first month, may take longer...how long did your DS take?
IMO I'd have the coil out sooner rather than later and use condoms etc until December then you know hormones are out your body, your cycle has time to settle down/regulate etc but it depends on how you feel about condoms and how much you'd trust using them /feel about an 'accident' before December etc...

Soooo, still a 'shagger'! Day 17 now, AF due end of the month I think...

Hey, just feeding DS so can't do a long post.

DS is ok thanks, typical male making a meal out of being ill.

I'm out for this month but I'm pleased as technically I'm now in my 1st month of TTC.

Are any of you taking anything to help?
